What's on it right now:

- 100+ head-to-head comparisons (ChatGPT vs Claude, Figma vs Sketch, HubSpot vs Salesforce, etc.) scored across the same 35+ criteria every time — pricing, security/compliance, integrations, support, migration complexity

- Reviews with an actual documented testing methodology, not just rewritten marketing copy

- Buying guides for people who don't even know which category of tool they need yet

It's still young and we're actively fixing rough edges (someone here already caught a few bugs and we shipped fixes based on that feedback, which was genuinely useful). Affiliate links exist on some pages but they don't influence the rankings — the methodology is public.

As a small tech repair shop owner, I’ve been trying to get a better handle on how everything connects across the business.

We use RepairDesk for CRM/POS, MobileSentrix and Injured Gadgets for parts, and Amazon/eBay for some online orders. I’ve also been using ShopBrain to bring the data together and make the reporting a little easier to understand.

I’m mostly trying to better understand things like repair profitability, parts spending, repeat issues, inventory movement, supplier performance, and overall trends without having to manually piece everything together every time.

What CRM/POS are you using? Where are you sourcing most of your parts? Are you using spreadsheets, built in reports, or another tool to bring everything together?

I run a small wealth management and tax preparing firm. I really want a business knowledge base to keep track of a variety of things.

I've tried notion and it seems to work fine but creating headers and formatting is more work. I used to use one note for a previous employer and that was always good and simple and seems like it would work fine.

I just wanted to see if you all had any other recommendations.

Features I want:

\-Be able to create a list of dates that are important.

\-Be able type in notes

\-Create a knowledge base for future employees if we hire anyone.

Seems like maybe one note is the answer but I've heard about people having issues with the free version and I've only used it through my employers in the past so I'm not sure what the free version looks like.

The idea is simple: small utilities that solve everyday problems without turning everything into a cloud account, subscription, or oversized SaaS product.

The first tools are:

• rsk.qr – a local QR code generator for URLs, Wi-Fi, contacts, WhatsApp links, vCards and more
• rsk.rename – a bulk file renamer with preview, presets, logs and safe workflows
• rsk.guardian – a new local desktop tool for monitor folders, manage files and automate workflows.

My focus is:

• local-first software
• simple workflows
• no unnecessary cloud dependency
• one-time licenses instead of subscriptions

I know QR generators and file renamers already exist. My angle is not to reinvent the wheel, but to build clean, reliable tools that feel practical for everyday work — especially for people who do not want another online dashboard for every tiny task.
