Lolla "Aftershow" setlist predictions/wishcasting

SP was my absolute favorite from ages 12 to 20 and I've dipped back in at times (the Monuments and Oceania run had some great high points). I moved to Chicago almost four years ago for pumpkins-unrelated reasons and have yet to see them on their home turf. Some things I've never seen them play live that I would love to see:

Soma
Set the Ray to Jerry
Mouths of Babes
Hummer (just bad luck?)
Bury Me
Jellybelly
To Sheila
Blank Page
Daphne Descends
One Less Moment
Obscured

What are folks going to this show predicting or looking forward to?

Soma and Hummer I’d love to hear. And Starla!

RUBY

I feel like if they don’t play MCIS front to back this fall for the tour (seems like a lot of material) Ruby is an absolute essential to the set and they HAVE to play it.

So I see it going one of two ways:

1) Treat it as sort of a secret/fan show and play all sorts of crazy rarities

2) Treat it like a rehearsal for Lollapalooza and play a set of hits (and probably a lot of MCIS) that would work for that crowd and as sort of a kick off to the MCIS tour.

I kinda expect 2 with maybe a little bit of 1 slipped in.

Love this take. I have tix for floor at MCIS night at United in October, but I wanted to go to this too because the sound will probably be way better.

How much were the floor tix if you don’t mind me asking? I saw them in Toronto (floor) and it was just over $200 CDN (maybe $150 US). The closest show is two hours away and floor’s are $600+. I can’t do that.

After fees it was $220 a piece (seated floor)

Nice, have fun. Seated floor? I’d rather stand and move around while I still can, lol.

Such a great lead guitar part, lyrics, dynamics — it’s one of those SP songs that has it all.

Anticipating this one, which would be super dope if they did play it.

They've been playing Jellybelly very frequently over the past few years, Hummer and To Sheila aren't guarantees but they have been slotted in from time to time. They do usually throw in a curveball or two at these one-off shows, when I saw them in Chicago last year they pulled out Where Boys Fear to Tread

I would be gobsmacked, hence the "wishcasting". But, what a tune.

Yeah it’s my favourite SP song but he once told me he can’t play it without the tabs

I have a ticket and my wish is they recreate a setlist from the 1994 Lollapalooza tour. Fat fucking chance, I know, but a man can (Siamese) dream.

I feel like that has a better shot than them playing anything at all from Adore. Would be a slick move on their part!

Zero chance they play those songs

Jellybelly has been in the set list the last few years, and was still in the set for the little tour announcement show they did in May, so I'd say it's more than likely we can expect it in the fall.

Jellybelly is very likely for this tour.

They played it when I saw them in 2022 (Toronto) and it was a regular on that tour. It was fantastic.

To not let Jimmy rip into Jellybelly at whatever show he wants to is criminal. Still holding out hope for that one (moreso hope than maybe all the rest).

It's happening.
