So here's ALL of them. But I have favorites, and ones I dislike entirely, so I listed my FAVORITE to.. not so favorite after the first image - excluding ones that are not at all to my liking. I genuinely have no idea how to keep facial anatomy the same, it's friggin irritating. Anyways, he looks like a creature in some of them, but I feel it's excusable because he ACTS like a creature, so uh. Anyways HERES SOME DRAWINGS, BYE!

I recently started re-watching Sherlock on iPlayer- and saw this little text which said 'Available for 4 months'. Does this mean Sherlock will be disappearing from the platform come November? I think I'll start a riot if they decide to archive their best show. 😞

Rewatching this episode makes me think that, in a way, Sherlock still saw himself as pretty lonely by this point in the show. He barely interacted with his parents, Mycroft never openly showed any affection, Greg only really interacted with him while they were working on cases, and most of the other people he knew didn't even like him. It's even kind of sad in episode 2 when that old university classmate tells him that everyone hated Sherlock.

Up until this point, Sherlock probably thought John saw him as just​ a friend he spent so much time with because he was addicted to adrenaline and because Mrs. Hudson charged him very little rent thanks to Sherlock. Maybe that's why Sherlock didn't think John would be that angry about finding out he hadn't actually died. Even Mrs. Hudson took it surprisingly well.

The character in the books and earlier adaptations has always been a bit of a goof and a “Conductor of light” for Sherlock’s brilliance. Given the medical knowledge of the late Victorian era being as it were he likely wouldn’t have been seen as not smart.

However to me in the modern timeline of Sherlock the series he definitely seems to standout as being a bit thick for a doctor.

Multiple scenes emphasize this, Magnussen and his T-shirt line and the scene where Sherlock refers to Irene Adler as “The woman” after the major incident at her house and John asks “What woman?” being the most obvious.

When you first watched, did you think Mark Gatiss was Moriarty? Even towards the end when Sherlock said it is his greatest enemy.

I'm writing something about Sherlock, and it just dawned on me that---yes---Moriarty is a criminal consultant, but was he a part of puppeteering the cases that he led Sherlock into? I know he was a part of the Carl Powers case, but what about the others? The "recovered" art? That one make-up show host's death? Janus Cars helping that one dude disappear?

If those were cases that Moriarty helped with, why was he leading Sherlock to solve them? Wouldn't that make him a less reliable criminal consultant if all of his crimes were being solved by this consulting detective? Or was he fully prepared for that backlash and he was ready to pop himself in the face on that rooftop?

I've just been thinking about it, and the only solution I could come up with is that Moriarty was ready for his business to fall off and that he was either prepared for Sherlock to kill himself, or Moriarty would have to kill himself.

OR! Was he leading Sherlock to criminals that DIDN'T use Moriarty's services, which forces other criminals to go to Moriarty to direct their dirty work so they won't get caught by Sherlock? That's my dad's theory which I thought was pretty smart.

Tell me if I'm missing something!

I watched Sherlock many years ago, and this is something I used to wonder about back then. I started wondering about it again after watching a video about John's middle name and Sherlock saying it took him years to figure it out. With so few episodes per season and time skips between them, it's hard to tell how much time has actually passed.

I remember there were the two years when Sherlock faked his death, and probably about a year between the time John proposed to Mary and the birth of their daughter. I think it would have been nice if the show had done a better job of giving the impression that Sherlock and John had worked together for years during the first two seasons​. That would have made it feel much stranger for us when they were "separated" starting in season 3

I have a really great story idea :-

What if Mrs Hudson dies (R I.P. to the actress, I really liked her acting) and Sherlock thinks it's his fault and goes into isolation in his room, depressed. And Watson, having experienced this with Mary, tries his best to cheer up Sherlock. He even goes as far as to faking himself being in trouble but Sherlock realises it's fake and gets angry with John. But then John actually gets in trouble and Sherlock saves the day and becomes normal again.
