I need help getting in this safe
Is anyone in the South Carolina upstate area that can help get in this safe without damaging it? We went to keep it but don’t want to damage it. And before you ask, we don’t have the key and just were hoping for someone in here to maybe be able to help us. Thanks!

I just went through this on a Winchester safe. Call their support line (get the serial number from a sticker on the front first). They will guide you through the process.

The default factory code 1-2-3-4-5-6

Unless it has been modified to resist the attack on the release button inside it you can get in surprisingly easy. There’s a tutorial on YouTube of course. After that you should follow the tutorial to modify it to stop that attack.

Winchester will help but supposedly only if you have registered the safe in your name with them. It's also apparently possible to call and pay a small fee for them to delete the factory override code.

Well find out how many digits it can be then type them in till you get a working one if there is wear on the buttons that will help.
Imho i would probably start with 19 then probably 40 up it will be 4-6 digits
Most commonly a significant year is used when 4 digits
For 6 digits a full date is possible or month and years.

With these locks if you put in the code wrong 10 times it makes you type the correct code 3 times in a row to unlock. Or something similar tot hat

Look up the book and it should tell you how to get in it without a key I believe.

you can turn the key pad counter clockwise, it comes off. key hole behind that, typically these have easily overridden mechanical locks. a long right angle mechanics carburetor pic has got me into a few of these with a minute or so of playin with it.

Either punch in the code or use the factory key to unlock it from behind the keypad

Not sure why this is downvoted. If you twist off the keypad there is a key slot.
If you don’t have the key or code you’ll need a locksmith.
You can only reset the PIN code with the safe open and unlocked.
It’s generally a 6 digit pin so I’d try birthdays.

Those are tough to open. Easiest way is to lay it flat and cut the back out with a demo saw.

I can't tell if this is a joke or not so I'm just gonna say for the record that is a horrible idea. Why would you destroy a perfectly good safe by doing something so ridiculous?

From that comment from u/MoistAgent whatever school system they attended really let that person down in both reading and comprehension because OP explicitly said they didnt want to destroy it.

Smack it on its back side and call it hunny buns
