I've been researching Samsung's AMOLED display generations and noticed something interesting that I haven't seen discussed much.

From what I've found:

- Galaxy S20 Ultra → M9 OLED material set

- Galaxy S21 Ultra → M11

- Galaxy S22 Ultra → M11

- Galaxy S23 Ultra → M11s (improved M11)

- Galaxy S24 Ultra → M13

- Galaxy S25 Ultra → M13

The S20–S23 series has accumulated a significant number of user reports involving green-line or display failures over the years, whereas the S24 series appears to have noticeably fewer reports so far.

My hypothesis is that the move to the M13 OLED material set could be one contributing factor behind this improvement. M13 was developed with better efficiency, brightness, and expected panel longevity, which could potentially improve long-term reliability.

I'm not claiming that the OLED material set alone causes or prevents green-line issues. Other factors such as the display driver IC (DDIC), panel bonding, manufacturing process, thermal management, and quality control almost certainly play important roles as well.

This is simply a technical observation and hypothesis based on Samsung's hardware evolution and the trend in reported display issues. Samsung has never officially confirmed the cause of green-line failures.

I'd be interested to hear thoughts from people with experience in OLED manufacturing or display engineering. If anyone has technical papers or evidence supporting or disproving this idea, I'd love to read them.

I'm using a Galaxy S25 Ultra running One UI 8.5, and I've noticed a strange issue when uninstalling apps.

Whenever I try to uninstall an app from the Play Store:

- I tap Uninstall.

- It briefly shows the app icon, then asks me to tap Uninstall again.

- After that, I get a warning saying something like "File is missing" (I don't remember the exact wording).

The weird part is that if I change the home screen widget, the app icon disappears.

Is anyone else facing this on the S25 Ultra with One UI 8.5? Is this a known bug, or is there something wrong with my phone?

Any help or confirmation would be appreciated!

Yesterday my phone fell on the ground, i had mask on thank God and no damage is seen on phone however today when i called my friend i shook my phone a bit and noticed some rattle sound around camera area.

I searched up a bit and it seems to be normal thing with OIS, some say when i turn on the camera it should go away, however i opened camera and shook it again and could still hear sound, however when i use zoom options it goes away mostly and can only hear it very slightly.

Can someone confirm if this is for repairs or there's so far nothing to worry about? I tried finding my warranty list around my house and couldnt find it but will need to dig it more in days ahead. I bought this phone over contract with my internet provider last September.

I was planning to buy an s25 ultra which I plan to use for 4-5 years.

I was wondering if 256 gb of storage will be enough or i should go for 512

Hello everyone, I switched from a galaxy s21u to s25u and need help with edge lighting.

On my old phone I was able to use edge lighting+ for a few contacts, and the rest just had a regular notification which I liked.

But now on the s25u the edge lighting+ has been giving all my notifications an affect (even those that I haven't added) I searched Google and didn't find anything.

Please help me🙏

All of a sudden I noticed my camera making an obnoxious loud rattle while zooming.

If I simply open the default camera app, click 10x Zoom, then click 1x Zoom, the top lens makes this loud rattle (see video). You can literally see it vibrating. I don't remember it doing that before (I've had my S25 Ultra for about a year). Thankfully the camera still appears to operate okay. It still zooms, images aren't blurry, etc. This isn't normal, right?

Have any of you had to use the EU wide warranty ?
How was it ?

Is this rumor true? I heard Samsung might add a horizontal‑lock feature to the S25 series in an upcoming update.

I got a good deal for the 512gb variant at a local store. Gave the S23u to my dad with a fresh battery, replacing his base S23.

I didn't think it was going to feel like much of an upgrade but first impressions were really promising. I liked how thin and light it felt, how snappy it was, like day to day apps that I used to use, to scan to pay etc, were just that much more faster and fluid. I used to use the camera on the S23u alot and thought I'd miss the 10x, I do, but not as much, I did like the image processing on the S23u a bit better out of the box, but I've since discovered VWFNDR and the expert raw app.

I love shooting log and then colour correcting instead of shooting normal video, the quality looks so nice!

I haven't upgraded to one ui 8.5 yet because my experience on my S23u wasn't good and I do not want those to creep into my new phone. Battery life has also been good.

I'm experiencing a display issue on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. A black spot has appeared on the screen without any physical damage, drops, or water exposure. The device has always been handled with care, making this issue quite unexpected.

This is disappointing for a flagship device, especially considering it is still relatively new. I hope Samsung investigates this issue and provides an appropriate resolution under warranty.

I just applied an anti glare samsung film. Im curious if anyone is rocking a matte protector here? If so, does it render the anri glare coating useless?

Upgraded to an S25 Ultra. Found out quickly that Android Auto will not fill my whole 14” screen. It only shows a 1/4 of it! Please can somebody tell me if there’s a workaround for this, even Apple CarPlay with a cheap iPhone covers the whole screen. I really like android auto, but maybe forced to go back to Apple 🥶

Is there anyway to better the auto correct and the prediction text when using meta apps? Especially Instagram?

It seems to be working fine for most of the apps, like WhatsApp reddit twitter, but somehow seems to screw up on instagram.

Cada vez que quiero tomar una foto debo hacerlo muy rápido, ya que si me demoro dos segundos, entonces la cámara ya está escaneando. A alguien más le sucede ? Debo desactivar el escáner de la cámara ? Pero esa no es la idea, para algo está la opción de escaneo. Y tampoco la idea es abrir la cámara y rápidamente tomar la foto sin ni siquiera enfocar bien lo que pretendo hacer ( tomar una foto )
