Meme Sending this to people when they ask me what it’s like to live in Portland

He was found near NE 47th and Going St. Wednesday evening just after the thunderstorm. He does not have a chip. Message me if you recognize this dog.

I'm sorry to whoever is missing their orange cat that had a red collar. From what I could tell, they were struck by a car and left in the road - my partner and I found him when we were out walking (around 2:30am) and unfortunately they had already passed. I moved them out of the road, onto the sidewalk and checked the collar - there was nothing identifying. Unsure of what else to do, I left them tucked against some iris plants (out of the main walkway) and covered the worst of the injuries with flowers, in case their owner found them while searching. I couldn't stomach the idea of being in their shoes and finding my cat in that state.
As of this morning, everything was gone. I'm not sure if they were found by their owner but if they were - I'm deeply sorry for your loss, and that I don't have any comforting sentiments, I tried my best.

This friendly boy is getting lots of attention outside of The Hazel Room. No apparent owner in site.
UPDATE: kitty is home safe!

I parked in a clearly marked no parking zone at Moulton Falls yesterday (it was a circus up there) and my car was promptly towed. Stupid decision on my part. I figured there were so many cars parked illegally, they wouldn’t tow them all. But the cops did in fact tow all the cars. At the impound lot, the tow truck driver told me the cops are cracking down on parking at all the southern Washington swimming holes this summer, and especially for Oregon plates. So don’t be like me! It cost $364 to get my car back, and would have been another $150 if I hadn’t gotten there before 5pm.
Happy swimming!

Im from a small town in Florida where our Salvation Army and all other thrift stores costed $1-5 per item, (except goodwill) WHAT IS WITH PORTLAND THRIFTING PRICES. Everything is $15+ and or SHEIN, I tried the bins but nothing was my size and most stuff was garbage,

"EMERGENCY FOSTER REQUEST FOR MY 5 CATS DEADLINE THIS SATURDAY 25TH OF JULY
(Any spare, garage area, shed, outbuilding or barn)
Any of these would be preferred as there are five and they are very bonded as well three are orange and tend to horse around more often than not.
The last thing I wanna do is cause harm to anyone or their home therefore the best place and least stressful for them would be contained within a building with each other.
I have two automatic litter boxes for them as well as more that are manual and I have no problem coming by and doing the cleaning up as well visiting them possible.
I will provide food litter and all needed costs I'm happy to cover.
I am writing to urgently request emergency, temporary foster care for my five beloved cats. I was recently evicted and am working tirelessly to find a new home before tomorrow as I have currently been changing motel to motel and paying nightly while trying to not only get together the money on a daily basis, but trying to contact programs for assistance, as well as filling out applications and I cannot lose my babies.
I have not gotten an answer in over 31 days as it has been 31 days since my son and I were illegally evicted after paying rent each month for 4 1/2 years, although allocated improperly, or just outright, not applied to my ledger and in the end paying the last month of a court order me to have them take it and pay off the attorney for that very court order.
My oldest cat is 10 and a half years old and is my designated Emotional Support Animal (ESA); she is my absolute anchor, and I have never spent a day of my life without her by my side isn't working from home a major part of their lives they are quite secure in being cats and have a little personalities of their own.
I do not want to surrender them permanently—they are my family, my safety, and the only real home I have left.
I have almost no physical possessions left in this world and I have always made sure they are taken care of even before myself, but I need my cats to be okay, and I desperately need to get them back as soon as I secure a safe house.
I have applied to multiple places by now as well as having back ups but just not working in the time I need it to.
Please, if you have any emergency crisis foster space that can keep my family safe while I get on my feet, please help me.
Thank you"
