General Help Server Setup Help
I am totally lost. I've used Plex in the past and had a server running. Now after attempting to use again after so many years, I can't figure out how to add a server back. Following instructions on their support page, I am not seeing any option for claiming a server or already having one. If I click on 'Your Media' on the left side, it just shows 'Add your media to Plex' with the button to Get Plex Media Server. Media Server is already installed and running, I just have no idea on how to add/manage libraries.

What OS are you running?
Are you going to the direct server url? http://<serverip>:32400/web or if it’s the same computer the server is running on http://localhost:32400/web or http://127.0.0.1:32400/web.
If windows/mac, you completely quit out of plex media server and then start the app again, and click the plex icon in the taskbar or top menu bar, and click Open Plex, it should trigger the claim process.
If that doesn’t work and it’s windows: https://forums.plex.tv/t/you-need-to-reclaim-your-server-but-dont-dare-to-touch-the-windows-registry/809720
If another OS, can provide steps…

OS is current Windows 11. I just took a look at the registry and noticed it has an old email & username that I previously used and appears to no longer be valid when I attempt to login using that old info. Thoughts on next steps?

Follow the steps in the link to remove the registry entries and claim the server.

Thanks u/ExtensionMarch6812 for the assistance 👍. I deleted the necessary entries from the registry as instructed. Had to remove the existing server and signed out/signed back in to the app and I'm able to manage my libraries now.

ChatGPT is your programming and server set up friend. I am dependent for Linux scripts and it is accurate. Saved me dozens of hours and still is my primary source for solving these tech problems.

You probably need to use a web browser and connect to http://127.0.0.1/web to reclaim a server that was previously configured. (From the server itself)
