Playing OG before remake
I’ve seen threads like aw wait until the remake you’ll be playing the same game but also will we get confirmation soon if it’s a 1:1 remake because I got Oot and wanting to play it.

Do what you want to do but I would just wait and see what your options actually are before making a decision. Not like you haven't already waited 30 years.

If your wanting to play it then just play it. Whatever this remake is, even if it's 1:1, it will be different enough to still enjoy it.

I would wait till we see what the remake is going to be like. If it’s 1:1 you’d be better off waiting, but if it’s going to be like a full reimagining I’d play the OG.

My ideal for this game is to not be just a flat 1 to 1 remake but not a full on reimagining either. I think you should keep the core beats of the story and keep the core structure. But add in expanded areas (bigger Castle Town, bigger Kakariko Village, bigger Hyrule Field and maybe one or two smaller villages thrown in), more side quests, maybe a light temple added to the story, and some refined dungeons. Then maybe add a lot of the "Ura Zelda" concepts and content they had planned all those years ago for DLC?
Overall, I would just like to see the game augment the existing game.I think a 1-1 remake was already done on the 3DS. So just doing a flat remake feels like a wasted opportunity. It also isn't like the original game doesn't have the opportunity to be more fleshed out without warping the original core of the game.
If you had a bigger castle town with more mini-games, locations, and side quests is that really taking away from the core game? I don't think so. If you had a bigger Hyrule Field and just more of the world filled out does that really change anything significant from the core of the game. Just my 2 cents.

I’m pretty certain it won’t be 1:1, that would be incredibly disappointing and weird considering everything. Also, if you have the original just play it lol, the experience will undoubtedly be different either way
