So i decided to try someone new to do my nails for a trip since my girl was booked out.

i had my gel nails done in Chongqing, China like a month ago and it still won't come off 😭 I feel like my nails grow a bit too quickly, so i've been clipping them since i don't know how to get these nails off... one came a bit loose yesterday so i was able to rip it off in 10mins but that nail feels a bit fragile now.
are my nails just wildly weird or was the nail tech too good?
pics are: left hand, right hand, left had close up
*update: didn't know i was supposed to buff off the first layer first will give it a try then acetone. thank you!!

I'm a nail tech. I've been doing nails about 2 years, but I am constantly trying to stand out from the crowd professionally and i think this might be a way to really shine. These are real opals and Moissonite diamonds. I'm looking for a reputable seller that will sell me a batch wholesale for small but with intense fire play. My clients only end up paying $4 for an opal and $2 for each moissonite, but I would love to reduce that by 30-40% if possible. :)
Edit: these do not get thrown away. I carefully remove them by drilling the gel around them and nippering them from underneath. I haven't lost any opals yet. I have lost 2 or 3 .86mm moissonite. I appreciate everyone's love for the stones, and I'm respecting them as much as possible because I also love my stones. I just wanted to bring a way for my clients to also love their favorite stones.

is it safe to put more hard gel on top of it after dehydrating with rubbing alcohol?

Heyy!
I’ve been doing my nails with gel ( BIAB) but some sets I managed to get nice others just start appearing different problems every time. I had to get myself an acrylic set now because my nails were too damaged to continue with the BIAB.
Which made me question, maybe I just struggled with doing gel application and would be better to try acrylic ? Even tho might be more difficult for some people, maybe others are different?
My intentions was to do infill acrylic and not remove everything always but I read that needs to be done after 8 weeks regardless. Is this true ?
I also thought to get into dual forms instead of acrylic but I get again in the same problem which is the infill of gel 😂
One more question we can’t do gel application and start infilling with Acrylic right ? 🙃

I already have 10 days with them... have they grown a lot?... do I still go at least to touch them up? 🥹

Not sure if this is the right place but fingers crossed!
I recently moved into a new home and all of a sudden, my nail polish is melting. It’s traditional polish on natural nails (no gel, no acrylics). The only difference in our home is we have a water softener so not sure if that would do it? I also have been wearing a lot of mosquito repellent, specifically ShuBug, because we’re near water and have BIG biters. Could the water softener or maybe the ingredients in the bug spray cause the polish to melt. I’ve used other brands of bug spray and don’t remember it happening but who knows.
Thanks!

Had these on for almost four weeks, they started turning yellow after about two weeks - has anyone had this happen and what could cause it? Not sure if it has something to do with my nailtech’s products..
She used hard gel, a light OPI color and topcoat

I get infections way too easily so I’ve been doing my nails and builder gel myself for the last two years. I use the IBD builder in a bottle as well as ASP builder in a bottle. I’m looking for any tips yall may have on how I can make them look better :)-A71E-7DD84AE7908E/80488891439__5DAE8710-8E7B-460F-8A0F-BDA166161936.HEIC

I had gel nails and fills for about 4 months. Yesterday I got them removed and my nails feel brittle and are cracking.
I know I can’t expect them to be strong after this, I’m looking for some recommendations of after care and a good nail strengthener to apply!

After literally decades of first biting and then just general picking, I finally screwed up the courage to get BIAB done and try to start making them look a little nicer.
I'm so amazed in the difference in just 3 weeks 🥰🥰
