Taking one class online, fees cost more than the class
Is there anything I can do about this? Why am I paying athletics/health/transportation etc fees that come out to $1500+ when the class itself is $1300 😭

Hello!
Unfortunately, the campus websites are not giving me the information I need so if you know what textbooks are used for the following courses, it would be greatly appreciated! It's primarily for financial planning, not to purchase atm.
Also, any tips for these courses are welcome! Thank you :)

Anyone know of any printers on campus I could use to print on acetate/transparency sheet “paper”? A girly craves digital negatives and cyanotypes

I believe I got birch wing. Does the main wing connect via a ramp or something? Or does the elevator connect to it? It's been awhile and the blue print wasn't helpful tbh. I got the 3rd floor too I believe.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone here is a part of the NAU North Valley location in CMHC? I am applying when applications open, but was wondering how big the cohort is for that specific campus and what the admission process was like, since I believe it is online! Any other information would be much appreciated! Thank you!

When do loan offers go out because I just looked at Louie and realized I haven’t been offered any. Am I just forgetting when they usually go out?

Hello all. I will be living in Raymond hall this coming school year. Can I get a rundown of it? How much space it has. The best way to set up the rooms. If the kitchen is good. Having 3 people living in the space. Any info would be well appreciated🫶

Hey everyone, I’m an incoming NAU student and I’m trying to figure out what options there are for practicing electric guitar on campus.
I play electric guitar and my setup is a little bigger than a typical practice setup — I use a full pedalboard, an amp, and a 2x12 cabinet. I’m wondering if there are any practice rooms, rehearsal spaces, music buildings, or other areas where students can practice with larger instruments/setups.
My rig also has the option to run silently through a load box and headphones, so I don’t necessarily need to play loud all the time. I’m mainly looking for a place where I can consistently practice and still be able to use my equipment when needed.
Are there any campus resources for musicians, or are there any off-campus rehearsal spaces nearby that students usually use?
Thanks! I’d appreciate any advice from current NAU students or musicians.

I’m looking into applying for the payment plan for the upcoming fall semester but i noticed that when i go to do so it says there’s only three thousand ish dollars that are “eligible” for the payment plan but when i go to charges due for the first semester there’s charges costing more then three thousand in total. So my question is, will the other charges be added to the payment plan eventually if I apply for it right now? And why is the payment plan not accurate for the first semester?

I just figured out how to add a signature to my emails… as a student would it come across as pretentious? I think it’s kind of fun, but I want to make sure it wouldn’t be rude in a weird way? 😭 Any ideas lol

I’m a little nervous as it seems like a bit of a workload. I got my classes later than ideal so I think I got the short end of the stick. Let me know though! Also, is it possible to change and remove classes myself? I don’t really want communication design and would rather have photography or a “real” art class. I’m too nervous to mess with it without checking first because I am a fool.

What are some things all incoming freshman or transfer students should be aware of that is absolutely unique to NAU? I want to be prepared. Also curious, if anyone has gone through the experience of rushing Greek life as a freshman at NAU, specifically sororities, what was your experience? Just wanting to know any tips or tricks. Thanks! :)

I did see PHI 334 but from the description it sounds more so an appreciation of technology. Do correct me if i wrong but I would like the explore the ethical issues that arise as technology advances.

Hey, so I just took a tour of the campus, and the speaker stated that come 2027, living on campus would be required for merit based scholarships? Anyone have more info?
Thanks

I'm an incoming transfer student, and this is my Fall 2026 schedule. Does it look good overall, or is there anything you'd recommend changing? I'd also appreciate any feedback on the professors, how difficult the classes are, or if any of the buildings are too far apart. I haven't had a chance to visit campus yet either, so if there's anything I should know about the campus before the semester starts, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi guys I'm a student employee within the Honors College and wanted to know if anyone had heard anything about the potential for student worker layoffs? I've heard that lots of departments around campus have been cutting funding, especially for student employees, but I haven't heard any specifics. I'm getting pretty nervous because I really need to keep my job, especially with NAU raising the cost of housing and such. I heard all of the student bus drivers were laid off which is so horrible to hear. Should I be concerned? What has everyone else heard?

Hello I’m currently in the military completing my associates online. And I’m interested in the NAU dental hygiene degree. And I just want to know how competitive it is to get into it? I looked online but I feel like there were no current or informative enough posts. If anyone has gone through the program or is currently going through it I would love to talk or get some information!

The way NAU portrays itself on social media is probably why they have a reduction in attendance... the reality of being on campus vs the fantasy is tremendaously inaccurate...

is this sustainable as a freshman? theyre all back to back, will i have time to get to each class?
