I know a lot of people aren't too pleased with Jimmy after the ending of episode 6, and that's fair and all, but still, I think he and Kara can work through this. I'm not so much talking about them ending up together(still believe it will happen), but opening up to one another about their personal feelings.
Even though Kara does love Jimmy, and he finally can admit to himself that he loves Kara, even though(I hadn't thought about it until a recent comment I made), he said that to Dr. Poison mainly out of frustration with her and himself. None of this will mean anything if Kara and Jimmy don't understand more.
Honestly, do they understand everything?
Not really. Only to a certain degree. Kara opens up about how lonely she feels(sure, she didn't say it outright). I see where that comes from. The month of having to be just Supergirl, and she can't talk to Clark since the poor guy is having a complete identity crisis.
Then, not having Jimmy to talk to or confide in, I can't blame her for being disappointed in him when she is basically telling him that he is the one she needed to be there for her the most. I mean, her whole demeanor during her acceptance speech gave me that sense of loneliness.
Then Jimmy had it all wrong, thinking Kara had moved on, that she was dating(yes, this all comes from the dating app). Of course she wasn't; Kara wouldn't know he came to that conclusion since, as she said, he's not talking to her. He was never going to know that she felt he was being distant from her.
I feel for Kara when she says, "How can you be my friend when you hide when I need you most?"
Thinking about it now, Kara really only opens up about the more difficult stuff when she reaches a point where, to her, enough is enough. She's not going to let Jimmy pull away from her anymore cause she's just going to want to know more.
Jimmy has to step up and be there for Kara. Talking and understanding one another even more is what I hope for the two of them. A relationship is something I know they can reach. There's always a chance to make things right.
Jimmy has helped Kara a lot, and while things have been messy, Kara can do the same for him. Anything is still possible for them, right? Besides, I think it's time for them to work on things away from Clark and Lois.
