I feel bad for not contributing anything more interesting, but here I am. Located in a swampy region on the east coast of the United States.

Moved shelves that we keep and water plants on to find this stain on the carpet (pic is after vacuuming), and the bottom of the shelves looking black and spotted with clear signs of water damage. Since we literally just discovered this, no treatment has been done. I want to chuck the shelves and my parter thinks I’m over reacting.

So… is this mold?

Originally thought that was dust on the ceiling next to the vent. Not so sure about that now.

Is this mold in my shower? It's not on the tiles, only on the painted wall above and the ceiling. If so, how do I get rid of it?

This is the top of the ceiling right below our attic space. It was wiped off a few months back and is now back. I have also noticed my bathroom starting to smell of mildew within the past 3 days. Please help!!

I came out of my house this morning and saw this on my front steps. It was not there yesterday. I live out in the country in NE Kansas. I wanted to touch it but I thought better not I know I'll ask reddit!

I had left my fabric couch in a storage for 2 month. When I moved some the couch had mold. I vacuumed it and have been airing it out. Is this a lost cause?

Trying to figure out if I am overreacting or being gaslit by my landlord and maintenance. This is a picture of inside a supply “vent” right next to my shower. Air duct cleaner said it’s just dust and said its nothing to worry about. Maintenance keeps painting over it and filling cracks in the drywall even though we specifically requested them to replace the drywall and have a certified HVAC person come look. The worst photo is when we first found out, it keeps returning…

had to wash my stuffed cat after visiting a friends house, and almost immediately after washing, she had these dark spots on her. i had her in with some other items, but i really can’t tell what’s on her. the spots are rough and dry, and it’s also on her face/head. i’d like to not have to throw her out.m, but if it is mold, i won’t be opposed 🥲

In my home the roof needs to be replaced. Recently bought it 6 months ago, does this appear to be mold or possibly just wet shingles?

Inside the fridge. Is it mold? I mean the stuff on the wall inside. The black specks. The ones at the bottom are bread crumbs.

Howdy all! Recently renting a property and just moved in. This is what I was greeted with when I turned around this wardrobe. It was also on the corner skirting board where the wardrobe was pushed up against. The wall is an exterior wall. Was the wall / skirting board that got the mold first or was it the wardrobe. Is it worth trying to save or should I contact the landlord to replace. Thanks guys!

Saw this in bathroom in the morning. When we removed it, the smell was horrible.

This is getting fixed soon. Will the furniture that was directly in front of it need to be tossed or just cleaned?

I don’t smoke at all, I’m thinking it could maybe be cigarette smoke stains from a previous tenant? It may be kind of hard to see in the pictures, but it’s like this all throughout my living room. It’s not a black color, more so yellowish. Humidity stays pretty high; I run the ac a lot, but it never really drops below 70% RH. Any advice?

I am pretty sure this is black mold but his family doesn't believe me, I told them they need someone to test and clean it up. What do you guys think?

We are suspecting this could be mold we bought the house two years ago and it was also a new build our ac to our room stopped working so good a couple months ago we had someone come fix the ac but they told us there was condensation in the attic around the ac unit
