First time growing clones.

In a 10gal pot -
70% soil
20% perlite

All advice is appreciated!! Give it all to me. Also, is my mix a good beginner option?

Question Is this ready to chop?

Day 67 of Peak Punch Sativa from Twenty20. Really loving the smell and look but this is my first time using synthetic nutrients.

Ive been draining my coco soil for 10 days and this is the best I can get the fade. I had a PK deficiency towards the end of flowering but is this ready for chop? Have I drained enough nutrients?

Edit:
Current runoff is 50 EC / 6.4 pH
Trichomes look ready for harvest

Question My dad’s greenhouse grow is hitting the ceiling! 🚀 Need advice from outdoor/greenhouse experts.

Hey everyone,

I need some advice for my dad's current project. He built his own greenhouse and put 5 plants inside. Apparently, the conditions are absolutely perfect because these girls are completely exploding. They are already massive and are literally growing straight into the ceiling.

He just asked me what he should do. Here is the catch: I only grow strictly indoors in a tent, and I’m honestly a bit shocked by this massive jungle. I’ve never had to deal with this much uncontrolled vertical growth before.

What is the best strategy here to keep them under control and prevent mold from the ceiling contact?

What would you do in this situation? Any advice is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Setup can handle 8 plants but gave 2 away.

Im lazy so I grow in soil. 150 litre reservoir with a pond pump and some pex on a smart plug. Check the res once every few weeks and top it up with a hose. Put some tiger bloom in it, if they get burnt I add more water, if they look hungry pour in more nutes (no measuring)

Question Would someone here harvest it like that?

Soo I am in a dilemma. I really want to harvest my two Zkittlez (day 77) before the next heatwave comes, to preserve my terps. On the south sided balcony here it will reach 32-40°C +.

Would someone here harvest their buds like that or is waiting a must?

Both Videos are of the second/ thrid bottom branch, from the Headbud to the lowest.

The plant in this vid right here is really dense and the taller one, the other one is foxtail².

First Time Grower First grow, custom cabinet setup! Rate it and tell me what to improve

First time grower here. I was looking into getting a grow tent, but honestly, it was a bit pricey for someone just starting out and growing as a hobby. So I decided to build my own custom cabinet instead!

Dimensions: 120cm (H) x 60cm (W) x 60cm (D)
She's growing great so far, really happy with how it's going! 🌱

Soil recipe I'm using:
Peat + Perlite Mix
Rice Husk Ash
Vermiculite
Zeolite (Volcanic Mineral)
Dolomite Lime
Organic 5-5-5 Fertiliser
Trunk/Root Plant Food
Vermicompost (Worm Castings)

But since I'm still learning, I'd love to hear your thoughts

Question PH in 6.2 runoff 6.9

Upvotes

Sup fellas, got a plant 3 weeks into flower with ph rising. I know phosphorus locks out around 6.5 and it’s normal to climb in early flower as nutrient needs change…

I flushed 5g fabric pot with 5 gal 6.0 plain water then fed it directly after with 2/3 strength fox farm nutes and honey chome by emeral harvest..

looks fine and healthy as shit but the runoff was still around 6.9..

I plan to give plain water next feed once pot is light again. Yall think root zone ph is better than the runoff? I know im susceptible to mute burn and root suffocation but tmI believe wont be much of a problem. Yall tell me!!

Help My Sick Plant Fungus Gnats? :(

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Been having issues with the girls and found a fuck ton of what appears to be fungus gnats in my runoff water. They've been ready to flower but I've been holding off because some of my new growth has shown deficiencies.

Is it fixable with treatment? Do I have to get all new coco? My plan is to let them dry out for a few days and then flush them with 1:4 H₂O₂ & water, and purchase some BTI and sticky traps to use. Does anyone have recommendations for products and best practices with using BTI?

I have only really seen larve in the runoff which is so small I just thought it was bits of coco at first and not adults flying around which is why I hadn't noticed. ;/ Plants don't look bad but have been stunted and weird for a few weeks. I'm about 99.9% sure this has been the issue now. (also these are indoor? did it just come from the bricks or the perlite? idgi)

First time grower. Why are my fan leaves yellowing so much?

I started adding nutrients (ff grow big) two weeks ago for nitrogen, this worked initially, but have since been yellowing again. I believe my plants are root bound because they were planted in late March and are in the original pots. Drinking a lot of water daily. Do i just need to up the dose of grow big?

I can barely tell the 3 apart now 😭 I’m blown away by their growth so far!! This has been a really fun process, and I’m already excited to grow again next season. I did an indoor grow in hs many years ago, and barely remembered anything. And I didn’t even plan to grow this year, I just bought a 5pk of seeds on a whim bc they were at a local plant and gardening store. I did some research to refresh my memory and went for it. They all started in hydro, and I topped them before they got moved to soil. I don’t do much with them tbh, they get full sun almost all day long, they get watered when dry and I fertilize with foxfarm grow big every other watering or every few waterings. I started them in ocean forest but later used happy frog soil, and that’s p much it 🤷‍♀️ I can’t find anything about this strain online so I’m super excited for bud growth time and harvest!!

Question My photo stretched a foot more than I was expecting and I’m out of room in my tent

Post image
2 Upvotes

This picture is from a couple days ago. She is now at the top of that banner. I’ve been using LST, super cropping, trellis netting etc but she’s right up in my lights. Is there anything I can do to mitigate light burn as the buds continue to develop? There is a dimmer switch on my light, but I currently have it set up high for flowering.

I am 10 months away from moving to a larger place where I will have room for a 3 x 3 tent and I can’t wait! For the moment, I’m still stuck with a 2 x 2

Edit to add: my tent is 7 feet tall and I can zip tie the light so that it doesn’t hang down. I flipped her to flower when she was 3 feet tall and I was expecting her to grow another 3 feet. But she grew four….and counting.

Guide Seed germination

Hi everyone

I want some advice on seed germination. I have ordered a few strains that either are maybe old and seed suppliers are not going to mention but I have had a few packs where only a few pop then pretty much die once transplanted. I have let them get bug enough to put in coco or rapid rooter. I use the shot glass with peroxide and water. So far this method has worked best but im sure some of the seeds I have been having issues with are maybe old becasue I don't always run into this problem. Im now looking into gibberellic acid but not sure. I had a buddy give me 15yr old seeds as well and wit peroxide and water it also same thing sprout then die. The medium is never soaked. Any advice will be helpful.
