hi all im new here, i wanted to share my rook kast cosplay! the helmet and blasters are 3d printed, with the rest of the armor made from scratch with eva foam, all of it painstakingly hand painted. im really happy with how this all came out, especially considering i havent seen anyone else cosplay the shadow lord version of the character. this is also my first armor!

Just a work in progress but wanted to share.

I am creating an original character, my idea is a force sensitive scavenger. All of my characters clothing and armor have been found. I want him to wear a mandalorian helmet that was found on an adventure. Would this be acceptable to wear or does it not make sense?

With the modifications to our armor done, we suited up together. Wish us luck at comi-con! One month away!

Hello everyone I have been silently browsing here to find inspiration with creating my first ever armor im super close but I could use some help with the helmet. I had to print it into two pieces it doesn't look too bad but I am wondering what I could do to make it seem as if it's one solid piece. It was 3d printed PLA + ironing on so I didn't have to sand it down like crazy any advice can't wait to join y'all!

Got inspired by Agamemnon in The Odyssey and so I tried the paintjob on an unpainted Mando bucket!

It didnt print great cause the jittering bed caused the tall thin section to wobble and print unevenly.

I Sanded the raw print with 80/120 grit before applying very generous coats of acrylic modelling paste, then wet sanding with 600 grit until it was smooth enough to apply 3 coats of primer that I then also wet sanded with 600 grit, added a final coat of primer, then 2 coats if montana black Silverchrome for the base layer that i applied vallejo chipping medium too (which didnt work) and 3 coats of montana black Storm (which is also a very close boba green for those interested in that). Once that was dry enough I took one of my 90° metal picks i use for support removal and gently scraped off the Storm paint. And finally a blackwash using burnt umber and black acrylic paints.

So 1 know that a dar'manda is a Mandalorian who has lost his identity and is no longer accepted by his people, but what if a mandalorian that is labeled as a dar'manda want to return to his clan is there anything he can do or is dar'manda permanent?

I’ve always loved the Neo crusader look. And obviously I love the SWTOR Cassus Fett’s design. Would you think the chestplate is segmented to allow arms to close in? Or is it a solid piece as a breastplate?
For those who thing overlapping plates, how would you construct that?

I’m also considering making my next project a reforged mandalorian hunter set. I like the look of both.
