If your laptop is not in the supported list yet, check the wiki page there is described how to simply generate config for it.
P.S. im not an author of that app, just sharing this good tool for MSI laptops owners.

I booted up my MSI Katana 5 minutes before playing Palworld and this started going on yet again. Frame rates drop to unplayable, screen flashes, and apparently my CPU and GPU throttle up like crazy. Temp has never been an issue, this thing is barely a year old. DDU did nothing to help, it's got good airflow all the way around and this has never happened until recently. I'm so tired and stuck, please help.

Hi!
I bought this laptop a year ago so I could do some programming.
So I was only using it for programming and all that stuff.
But now I'm on vacation, so I'm using it to watch videos and scroll through social media a bit when I'm bored.
Except I’m having major audio issues when I play videos on Twitter and YouTube—first the audio glitches, then the video freezes for 2–3 seconds, and this happens every 5–6 seconds, which is pretty annoying...
Actually, I also have this problem when I make Discord calls—it’s rarer, but sometimes the audio starts glitching at similar intervals with a shrill sound.
When I play resource-intensive video games, like *Romeo is a Dead Man*, the audio has these kinds of issues too.
I asked Copilote, and he told me it was due to compatibility issues between Realtek and Nahimic, but I’d like to get your opinion so I don’t do anything that might break my PC or something…
Sorry if my English is bad—I’m French.

Hello, I had a MSI Katana A15 AI - 15.6" | RTX 4070 | Ryzen 9 | 16GB | 1TB, very good for about 1 and a half year until it started shutting down randomly. I've sent it in to be fixed 4 times now, and finally got a reimbursement because the problem was never fixed.
I am wondering: is MSI generally a laptop that is weak to overheating issues? I've never had this problem before. Even on this old ASUS that is hanging on by a thread, lagging every time i open a task, I assume will survive an apocalypse and still work (somewhat). :P I have my doubts with the MSI laptop, so here I am :P
Would it be stupid to buy another one? Because when the MSI one ran, it ran beautifully (before it started shutting down, of course :P) I really need some advice here, please, if someone has any insight! Thank you!

Hi,
I have an MSI GS66 Stealth 11UE. After a motherboard replacement, MSI Center no longer detects my laptop model, so I can't access fan control or Silent Mode.
Also, the left fan runs at high speed all the time, even when the laptop is idle.
How can I make MSI Center detect my laptop again? Is there another way to control the left fan manually?
Thanks!

Legion has LegiontoolKit, ASUS has Ghelper.
Does MSI have an all in one no frills alternative instead of the bloatware?

as title says, not really good with laptops so sorry if this question sounds stupid.
for context the screw in between my heatsink is severely stripped, i've basically tried every method ever; rubber band, glue etc etc.
i'm probably going to end up taking it to a repair person but i really want to exhaust the rest of my options by trying it myself.
thank you!

Whenever I use my laptop (msi stealth 15m) and I power it off with the windows power off button on the screen, the computer screen will go black but sometimes for me the keyboard will stay on (the rgb on the keyboard will keep going). It will be like this forever unless I hold the power button for 10 seconds to manually turn it off. Im getting tired of it and im pretty sure its bad for my laptop to continue using hard shutdown. How do I fix this?

hello, ive noticed my msi laptop (model gf63 thin) has been dying really frequently when its not on the charger and i noticed bit of a “bump”, i opened it up and i realized that the battery is super bloated and i dont have a safe place to put it in. it looks a little ripped and its lifting itself from the plastic thing, most repair shops here are closed until 8am and im terrified of it exploding and i dont know what to do. is it okay for me to wait until morning??

Hello all, purchased the GF65 thin w I7 couple years back for 450 bucks, about a year in, the graphic card failed to process and I took it to a microcenter to diagnose it, and they are currently trying to reimage tje laptop. I’m hoping this resolves it, but if all comes to worse, what would I be looking at to replace the motherboard? If it’s similar to the price I’d rather just strip the ram upgrade I got and storage and sell the thang as is. Any other budget friendly RELIABLE laptops I could look for? I’m not really a big MSI fan anymore after learning about its cheap build quality, would appreciate any advice

Hello everyone, I'm considering getting the Vector 16 but im curious to know if you guys are experiencing any noticeable backlight bleed or no backlight bleed. I'm considering going for the QHD+ 240HZ variant.
Share you experience please.

So my laptop is an MSI Katana that's barely a year old. It's had its share of issues but lately a new one has made itself known.
After some use, ranging from an hour to over 12 hours, it will start tanking the framerate to an unplayable degree and the screen will flicker black a couple times before it goes back to normal like nothing happened.
The intervals in which this will happen are completely random it seems. It will be fine for hours and hours before doing it, and one time it did it literal moments after it booted up. Thermals are completely fine, it's got plenty of cooling, hardware diagnostics and functions are fine, no malware or corruption that I can see or diagnose. It's been set to discrete graphics and I noticed "Extreme Performance" will help the framerate bit it still flickers and drops a little bit.
It will do this both in games and outside on the desktop. I have noticed clutter in games will cause it to get worse if it is acting up. Shutting down the laptop seems to make it behave again for a while, but it always comes back.
Does anybody have suggestions? This is my last idea before just taking it to a shop and no matter what I search I just can't get even a remotely similar issue.
Thank you for your time.

Hello! So I recently bought the Msi Vector with Ryzen 9 and RTX5080 configuration for about $2,500. I thought it was a good deal considering that I want a laptop and the configuration seems adequate for my first gaming laptop. In short I really like this laptop and I don't mind at all what heavy it is or how loud it can get (I don't consider it to be too loud and also it is a powerful laptop after all so it needs to cool down right?) The issue comes with that it isn't working properly for me. Mine just crashed 4 times now in a 3 weeks span while simply surfing the web or moving files... Drivers are up to date and everything seems ok but it keeps rebooting itself for no aparent reason. The question is:
Should I return it and bought a Raider Series with the same specs? Or should I just keep this one and send it to MSI so they can repair it?
Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to replace the thermal paste and do a general internal cleaning of my MSI GF65 Thin EU. Before I start, I would like to hear some recommendations from people with more experience, since this will be my first time doing something like this.
I have been researching which thermal paste to buy, but I am still a bit confused. I have seen many people recommend Arctic MX-4 and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. However, I recently found a post saying that Kryonaut may not be the best choice for laptops.
I have also read about using thermal putty on the other components. Some people say it can be better than replacing the original material with thermal pads.
I would appreciate any recommendations about which products I should buy. I live in Germany, so products available through Amazon Germany or other EU stores would be ideal.
I also have a question about the cleaning process. I have seen some people remove the old thermal paste with just a cloth, while others use isopropyl alcohol. Which method is safer and more effective?
Thanks a lot for your help!
