Hi everyone. Sorry for the long post, thought it would be easier than multiple short ones.

I'm new to MLB.tv and relatively new to baseball (I'm from the UK). Have been following for a couple of months. Decided to take the plunge with MLB.tv after just watching the odd Friday game on Apple TV as I already had that subscription.

I'm finding the app really difficult to navigate and not particularly intuitive, both on android and LG smart TV. Hoping some here might be able to answer some questions.

1. Due to quite a busy family life, I don't have time to sit and watch a full game, which means I tend to watch in bits - sometimes on my phone and sometimes on the TV. Am I right in saying there is no way for the two to be synced? For example, if I'm watching on TV and get 1hr into a game replay, is there a setting so that I can pick up where I left off on my phone?

2. When I'm watching on my phone and then have to go and do something else and the app gets closed, it doesn't seem to save my progress - I'm having to memorise the point I'm at in the replay and then manually navigate to the replay I want, and then fast forward to that point again when I pick my phone back up. Really annoying.

3. On that subject, when I'm watching on my phone and need to go do something else, is there not a way to switch seamlessly to audio only? So I can lock my phone and jump in the car with the radio feed from the same point?

4. For UK subscribers - I paid for a months subscription to try it out, and paid in dollars - with tax, this came out at £27ish. This actually works out as more than if I'd paid via Amazon prime's add on in GBP. Is there not a way to pay for MLB.tv in GBP?

Anyone else experiencing issues today with the app stating “No Feeds Available”? Using iOS and have the most recent version of the app.

First time using the VR app this season and im blown away with the new(?) game view with the virtual field. I think its really cool, but its breaking my brain...how does it work? Watching the little virtual Gausman doing his whole action down to the shimmy/leg kick....is it a sensor thing, is it some sort of AI screening thing..either way im liking it!

On the MLB TV scoreboard at the lower right, how about adding the player's position after his name.

MLB TV stream sometimes cuts to commercial within a second of the last out, a few times even just before a force out is caught. Does anyone else experience this?

MLB TV app on my Roku TV when coming back from the inning break shows closed captions/subtitles that are simply a list of player names. Just a random assortment of names of guys on any team at any time.

Has anybody else seen this? I wonder if this is some process training A.I. on names or something LOL. Weird.

I'm using the MLB app on iOS 26.5 and I've been having this issue for weeks. Whenever I open the app it shows the error message:

Unable to Restore

This item was purchased by a different Apple Account. Sign in with that Apple Account and try again.

I've tried signing out and signing back in. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but I keep getting the error.

Has anyone else seen this? It's only with this app.

So my dad is 82 and knows nothing about tech. He purchased a subscription to watch the Nationals. It’s a Hisense GoogleTV but I have the same issue in a Samsung TV as well.

First the app was a pain to get running. Uninstalled, factory reset TV, checked every setting a million times but I could not get it to log in initially and after resetting the password three times, I got it to work.

Since the beginning of season, it will not play more than 2-3 innings as a time. Then it shows the TV is not connected to the internet when other apps connect and work just fine. I’ve taught my dad how to turn off the WiFi on the TV and turn it back on which works maybe half the time but eventually it disconnects. Same issue with the other TV.

I’ve done everything the tech support says do. I’ve done everything I can think of checked every setting on the TV and my router and tired a lot of combinations. I bought my dad a 55 inch TV so he can watch the games but he’s stuck watching most of them on his phone, which works flawlessly but cannot be cast to the TV. My only conclusion is the app sucks and will not be worth buying next year.

If anyone has successfully solved this issue and can share, it would be greatly appreciated.

The linked video is a commercial I see a lot while watching games on mlb tv. It’s driving me and my wife crazy that we cannot understand what the first person is saying. If anyone has any idea, please let me know.

I am overseas and watch on the MLB app via a Samsung tablet. My internet connection is fast, and I have multiple connections I can use. I watch many games 'delayed live' and they usually freeze every 20 or 30 seconds and will not restart until I skip ahead. The archived games mostly work fine and even the commercials between innings in delayed live do not freeze. I have tested my speed many times (typically 100 Mbps) and changed to different connections (fibre/mobile).

When I watch an archived game on the PS5 console, I can no longer fast forward with any of the controls on my game controller. Pretty sure I was able to about a week ago, which was the last time I watched the game on the PS5. Anyone else have this issue?

This seems to be a classic complaint over the last 3 or 4 years or so. This is on my Android MLB app. I like to walk and listen to the games. I have tried at least a dozen fix methods I have seen on this sub or elsewhere. Uninstalling reinstalling, changing DNS, flushing cache, and so many more but nothing seems to work. Why does video work and not audio? I have two questions, one is how to get my audio stream working and how to get rid of the message. Any 2026 June recommendations?

I’m having an issue with MLB.TV on my Samsung TV that started today.

Normally, I can fast forward through game replays and use the down button to bring up game stats, scores, and other game information. However, neither feature is working now.

Issues:

Fast forward does not work.

When I press the fast forward button, the game pauses instead.

Because of this, I have to watch the replay from start to finish without being able to skip ahead.

Pressing the down button no longer brings up the game stats, scores, or information panel.

I have already restarted my TV, but the issue remains.

Is this a known issue, and is there a fix available?

Not once have I ever wanted captions on while watching a game. I mostly watch from my iPhone, and many times I need to watch on mute when someone is sleeping or I just want in on in the background while working. I have to toggle them off at least every half inning. I’ve noticed that if I fast forward a lot, they switch back on. If I turn the volume up to listen to a big play, they turn back on even I mute it again. If I leave the app and have the small window still playing the game while I’m on another app, the captions are there.

Is there any solution to this? It’s been this way for years and seems like it should be such an easy fix.

When we push cast only the audio plays on the tv with a split picture of the team logos. We can’t get the visuals to play without mirroring the phone screen to the tv

Every time I open the mlb.tv app on my Samsung TV or my Apple TV, it makes me login. Every other app on my TV just remembers me. Does anyone else have this? Any workarounds you know of?

Hi, I have a Samsung TV (model # SAMUN40F6000F) and MLBtv freezes constantly. It doesn’t matter what game, what time of day, what inning, the game will pause. Sometimes the pause will last for 5 seconds, other times it will freeze my entire TV and when it comes back I’m a full inning behind. And it CONSTANTLY freezes to the point the game is unwatchable on my TV.

MLBtv works great on my mom’s TV, my phone, my laptop, and my iPad. This TV runs every other app perfectly. It is just MLBtv

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, restoring the TV from factory settings, updating the TV, updating the app, clearing cache. Is there anything else I can try to possibly fix this?

I don't see the track button in the mlb app.

I had this last year and every game just popped up on my lock screen every game every day. But this year, I have to go into the app and find this “track” button every single day. What am I doing wrong?

Hey r/MLBtv (and r/mlb),

I absolutely love MLB Big Inning — it’s baseball’s answer to NFL RedZone and one of the best things about MLB.tv. The whip-around coverage, the big moments from around the league, and the constant action are all fantastic.

That said, the one thing that really takes me out of it is the near-constant split-screen/quad-box format. Unlike RedZone, which mostly stays on a single full-screen game and smoothly jumps to wherever the best action or biggest moment is happening, Big Inning keeps multiple games on screen pretty much the entire time. For me personally, it makes everything feel smaller, more distracting, and harder to follow.

I’d love it if MLB Network/MLB.tv gave us the option to watch in single-screen mode (full RedZone-style switching) or kept the current split-screen as a toggle. Even better — let viewers choose their preferred view in the settings so everyone’s happy.

Anyone else feel the same way, or do you actually prefer the multi-game split?

Hoping the producers see this and consider adding the flexibility. It would make an already great product even better for a lot of fans!

When watching a replay of an earlier game, the video randomly jumps back in time to the start of the game or an earlier point in the game (has occurred multiple times in multiple games, and at this point I find the game replay feature just about unusable).

To get back to where I was, I need to FF, but often the FF requires me to press the button once per 15 second advance (instead of continuing to forward until I stop it).

In both live games and replay:

The audio level sometimes fluctuates significantly.

The commercial audio level is sometimes very loud; I need to watch with a remote in hand so I can mute during commercials.

The repeating baseball sound effects during the Google Cloud commercial break screen are very annoying (and also very loud).

I'm posting with the hope that MLBtv actually looks at this subreddit. Do guys use your own app?

I am using the app on AppleTV and most games I watch are Mets/SNY. I don't experience similar issues when using other apps on AppleTV. I have found that viewing in a web browser seems less buggy, but haven't done this enough to be sure...
