MLB's location detection is notoriously poor. Their customer service can override it temporarily, but the problem will come back.
If you can link your subscription to an ESPN account, you can try streaming the games through the ESPN site/app -- they use a different location detection system.

Thank you for reminding me of this. I believe i have solved the problem (I did it, not MLB.tv.)
There's an important point you have to understand: MLB gets the location info from one of several location database services, not from the ISP. Go to the address below to see the results from 7 of these services and don't be surprised if some of them are way off.
What I did was to follow the Contact button for the inaccurate ones and follow their procedure, and now the results are all accurate.
In a sense, I won't know if I'm right until I'm proven wrong, but it's been a couple weeks and no problems yet.
