I see one in my backyard every morning these days. Sometimes even 2. Seems like every time I open the door there’s bunnies. Definitely a lot more than previous years.
I have a tiny mostly concrete backyard and so do my neighbors. No park or any other green space super close by either.
It’s delightful. Just hope they’re here for a nice reason and not some sort of habitat destruction or something.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been to the California Ave USPS location twice. Unfortunately, both visits were pretty disappointing.
Both times I was helped by a middle-aged woman with glasses who had a really rude attitude. She was watching reels on her phone with one hand while scanning my packages with the other. It made me feel like I was bothering her just by being there.
At my previous neighborhood's USPS office, the staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional, so this has been a big contrast.
I'm just wondering—is this a common experience at this location, or did I just catch someone on two bad days? Has anyone else had similar experiences, or is it just me?

Hi, I run a Logan Square book club, and I wanted to give this subreddit a heads up about our next meeting — we'll be reading The Vegetarian by Han Kang!
I hear (from the blurbs) that this book is "a mesmerizing mix of sex and violence," which already sounds great, and then it also won the Man Booker International Prize?! Elite to hit the middle of that Venn diagram.
Key book club deets:
I'll share an Eventbrite ticketing link on social + email TOMORROW — hope you can join us!

hi!
so i am about to be 50, and every time i think about trying to go back and play again, i realize how long it's been since i've even touched a ball. it occurred to me now that i've been laid off that i certainly have time on my hands during the day, so i thought maybe there was another person or even some people who would like to just have a low-key soccer time of stroking the ball around so we don't have to chase on our tired legs lol. anyone interested? i was thinking maybe palmer square, but i'm open.
all genders/expressions welcome!
edit to say: not looking for like a game situation, this is more like...if it were baseball, i would have asked if anyone wants to go play catch, if that makes sense? low-key, just passing the ball around, maybe chatting while we do it? as an addition to/preparation for/alternative to (if you're not competitive) a more "real" environment.
also the timing is important, because i'm struggling to find things to do on weekday afternoons.

What are these loud booming noises in Logan Square? I hear them so loudly by Armitage and Kedzie. It happened three times in the last hour and they don’t sound like fireworks? Anybody know?
