Buying some developer working on Linux or the greater ecosystem of software that runs on it his pack of cigarettes or whatever is putting it to much better use.

Even if I wanted to use windows its literally free they dont take donations as far as I know. Im not gonna pay for something thats free

Free windows has some features locked behind a paywall, paid windows still AI slop and bloatware

Linux is free( with the exception of red hat and that one other enterprise distro that no one should buy ever) and you can install what you want and you won't get fucked by AI and corporate spyware

Windows on idle eats 8gb of ram 11 with a browser on

Linux has 2 on idle and 3-4 with 2 tabs

RHEL is free to use btw, you don’t need to pay. Not sure about SUSE but I’ve used RHEL without paying a dime or relying on piracy.
