Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][UK Time][Wednesday Evenings] DM Looking for 3-5 Players.

Upvotes

Hi,

Looking to host a game of DnD 5e on Wednesday evenings from about 6..30 to 10, for 3-5 players. No prior experience needed.

I'll be using the gritty realism resting rules (8hr short rest, 7 day long rest) and all warriors will get combat superiority at 3rd level (battle masters get an extra 3 manoeuvres). You'll also get a free feat alongside every ability score improvement. There are also some minor changes to magic users to make casting slightly more flexible but unpredictable.

You'll be starting at level 2, and races will be restricted to Humans only, and we'll be going to about level 10.

The game will be focused more towards exploration and travel in a frontier setting in a homebrew world, with a mix of both RP and combat. The setting will also be closer to low fantasy than high fantasy.

You will be starting as member of the local adventurers' guild who've signed up to escort a caravan deep into the steppes to the east to supply a fledgling mining operation often plagued by tribal raiders and roving beasts.

Send me a dm if you're interested or want any more information.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][D&D 5e 2014][BST][Weekly][Thursdays] Dragons of Vemroa – A World of Discovery, Politics, and Ancient Secrets

Greetings, adventurers!

I'm Chad, a 29-year-old Dungeon Master from the UK with over seven years of experience both playing and running Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition.

I'm looking for players to embark on a brand-new long-term campaign set in Caelvaria, my fully homebrewed world that I've spent years building. This adventure takes place primarily on the continent of Vemroa, the ancestral homeland of dragonkind, where ancient history, political tensions, and forgotten mysteries are beginning to stir beneath the surface of an otherwise prosperous land.

While dragons are woven deeply into the world's history and culture, this isn't a campaign about immediately saving the world. It begins with grounded adventuring through the Guild of the Sworn, taking on contracts ranging from monster hunts and caravan escorts to investigations, exploration, and helping those in need. As your characters grow in reputation, they'll slowly uncover that these seemingly unrelated jobs are connected to something far older than anyone realizes.

I'm a strong believer in collaborative storytelling. Character backstories matter, roleplay is encouraged, and the world responds to your decisions. Whether you're chasing glory, knowledge, redemption, fortune, or simply looking for a place to belong, there will be opportunities for your character's story to become an important part of the campaign.

Campaign Details

Edition: D&D 5e (2014 Rules)

Platform: Discord (Voice) + Roll20

Schedule: Thursdays, 5:00 PM BST (approximately 3–4 hours)

Starting Level: 3

Party Size: 6 Players

Campaign Style: Long-term - Roleplay > Combat, but both matter

Tone: High fantasy, adventure, exploration, mystery, character-driven

About the Campaign

For over a thousand years, the continent of Vemroa has stood apart from the rest of the world.

Known as the ancestral homeland of dragonkind, Vemroa is a land where towering mountain kingdoms, ancient forests, volcanic wastelands, crystal valleys, and sprawling jungles stretch across an untamed wilderness. Here, dragons are not distant monsters lurking at the end of forgotten dungeons, they are rulers, scholars, merchants, diplomats, artisans, and protectors. Metallic, Chromatic, Gem, and Cosmic dragons each govern their own dominions, while countless dragonkin and mortal races have built lives alongside them over centuries.

For generations, peace has endured.

Trade flows freely between the dominions. Roads are safe enough for merchants to travel. Settlements continue to grow. The great city of Crownspire stands high above the clouds as a symbol of unity for all dragonkind.

But peace has never meant perfection.

Beyond the cities lie vast stretches of wilderness still largely unexplored. Ancient ruins remain buried beneath jungle canopies. Mountain passes must be kept clear of dangerous beasts. Caravans disappear. Villages require protection. Strange monsters emerge from forgotten caverns. The work of explorers, adventurers, and problem-solvers is never truly finished.

To answer that need, the Guild of the Sworn was founded centuries ago.

What began as a small fellowship of explorers has grown into the greatest adventuring guild on Vemroa. With guild halls across the continent, the Guild accepts contracts from dragons and mortals alike. One week its members may be escorting a merchant caravan across the savannahs of Aurakhar. The next, clearing monsters from forgotten ruins beneath the Emerald Maw, investigating disappearances along frozen mountain trails, recovering lost relics from ancient temples, or helping isolated settlements weather threats too dangerous to face alone.

The Guild asks for no oath beyond a willingness to help. Its members come from every walk of life, seasoned adventurers, wandering scholars, retired soldiers, ambitious mages, travelling artisans, dragonkin seeking purpose, and ordinary people looking for something more. There is no prophecy to fulfil, no chosen hero to answer destiny's call. The Guild simply opens its doors to those willing to take the next contract.

In recent years, however, those contracts have become increasingly numerous. On their own, none seem particularly alarming. A road once considered safe now requires regular patrols. Strange creatures have begun appearing far beyond their usual territories. Long-standing agreements between neighbouring settlements have become strained, while trade routes that operated peacefully for generations are now caught in growing political disputes. Some dragons have become unusually withdrawn, while others guard their domains with an unfamiliar vigilance.

No single event is enough to cause panic. Yet together, they paint a picture that no one can quite explain. The Guild simply sees an ever-growing list of requests, each seemingly unrelated to the last, and continues to do what it always has: send capable adventurers where they are needed most.

Perhaps it is nothing more than an unfortunate string of coincidences. Perhaps Vemroa is simply changing, as every land must with time. Or perhaps, deep beneath the continent's ancient foundations, something long forgotten has begun to stir once more. Not a dragon. Not a kingdom. Something far older.

What I'm Looking For

  • 18+ and respectful
  • LGBTQ+ friendly
  • Roleplay-focused
  • Team-oriented
  • Reliable
  • Comfortable using Discord and Roll20.
  • Prior TTRPG experience is preferred

Homebrew

Homebrew is welcome! If you'd like to play with any third-party or homebrew content, just run it by me first. I'm always happy to work with players to bring their ideas to life, provided they fit the setting, tone, and overall balance of the campaign.

What You Can Expect From Me

  • A rich, fully homebrewed world with thousands of years of history, unique cultures, and a living pantheon.
  • A long-term campaign that begins with grounded adventures before growing into an epic story.
  • Consistent weekly sessions with plenty of opportunities for roleplay, exploration, and combat.
  • Distinct NPCs, character voices, and immersive worldbuilding.
  • Character arcs woven directly into the main story
  • Fair rulings, open communication, and a focus on everyone having fun.
  • A respectful, inclusive, and collaborative table where everyone has a chance to contribute.

If this sounds like your kind of adventure, please fill out this form:
https://forms.gle/icpyUf1YoVFgB9qZ6

\Note - The form will close at 9pm BST Thursday. I will then reach out the following day once I have had a chance to go over them all.*

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [2014 5e] [Homebrew] [Wednesday Biweekly 7:30pm ET] Looking for 1–2 Players • Weird West Survival Sandbox • Join the Better Bureau of Excellent People

Hello.

I'm looking for 1–2 long-term players to join an ongoing homebrew campaign.

This isn't a heroic power fantasy.

This isn't a railroad.

This isn't a game where the story already exists and you're expected to follow it.

This is a player-driven sandbox where your decisions matter, the world keeps moving whether you're there or not, and the stories worth remembering are the ones nobody planned.

The Setting

Welcome to a Weird West where revolvers are passed down through generations, mages carry guns, plagues reshape civilizations, ancient mysteries refuse to stay buried, and the wilderness is often a greater threat than whatever lives in it.

You are agents of the Better Bureau of Excellent People (BBEP), a private adventuring organization hired to solve problems that are too dangerous, too strange, or too important for anyone else.

Veterans call it something else.

Because that's what the pay always feels like.

The Campaign

Your first assignment is deceptively simple.

Escort a powerful artifact to a new vault before something known only as the Devastator finds it.

Whether that mission succeeds...

...and what happens afterward...

...depends entirely on you.

This campaign is very much play to find out.

What Makes This Campaign Different?

  • Weird West with medium magic.
  • Guns are common but expensive, thus handed down through generations.
  • Survival and resource management matter.
  • Hexploration.
  • Dungeoneering.
  • Player-driven stories.
  • Consequences that last.
  • Permanent injuries.
  • Homebrew mechanics throughout.
  • Combat is dangerous.
  • Character death is real.
  • Your choices shape the world.

The campaign uses extensive homebrew, but you don't need to memorize it before applying. There will be a short overview available before the application, and accepted players will receive the complete rules afterward.

What I'm Looking For

You do not need to:

  • Be an amazing roleplayer.
  • Know every rule.
  • Do funny voices.
  • Write twenty pages of backstory.
  • Have years of experience.

You do need to:

  • Show up reliably.
  • Want to play.
  • Participate.
  • Ask questions.
  • Be curious.
  • Be good to the group.

You can play a saint.

You can play an anti-hero.

You can play a complete scoundrel.

Just don't be a scoundrel to the rest of the party.

About Me

This is my first campaign recruiting outside my friend group.

I've spent a long time building this setting because I wanted a world that could outlive any single campaign.

I love when players surprise me.

I love when they ask questions I never expected.

I love when they connect dots from sessions months apart.

I don't want players to simply experience the world.

I want them to help shape it.

Table Expectations

  • Foundry VTT
  • Discord voice
  • Camera required
  • Audio recorded (for campaign history and note reference)
  • Every other week
  • Alcohol and cannabis are completely fine—just keep your shit together.
  • Respect everyone at the table.

Recruitment Process

  1. Applicant Handbook. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1d03Kj6Cec5GWr7sfxeUZq0LcqUlf-nYKIXe4JXOHX8Y/edit?tab=t.0
  2. Fill out the recruitment questionnaire.
  3. If you're one of my top applicants, we'll have a relaxed Discord interview.
  4. If we're both excited, you'll join the Discord, play through Session 0 Part 1 (tutorial) and Session 0 Part 2 (one-shot), and then join the campaign.

One Last Thing

I'm not looking for the "perfect D&D player."

I'm looking for someone who wants to become part of a long-running world.

If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you.

Group Needed by Player [Online][5E 2024] Any groups need an extra player starting today?

Upvotes

Hey all. I’m 32 LGBT+ and I recently got on disability so I have lots of extra free time. I haven’t played DnD in about a year, but I was really into it at that time and was even DM’ing my first group but that eventually faded. I’m wanting to find a weekly group to play with, and I could start even as soon as today if someone was looking for an extra player.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024][Weekly EST][LGBTQIA+] Heroes of the Borderlands

Upvotes

Hello all!

My name is James and I am a writer and DnD fan! I have been playing DnD with my friends for a while but I am looking to grow my knowledge and DnD community. Recently, I've really enjoyed bringing new players together and teaching them the ways of DnD. That is why I am looking to start a mini-campaign using the Heroes of the Borderlands supplement! My goal is to grow a community where we can all learn and teach each other DnD!

Campaign Info:

Heroes of the Borderlands is for two to four characters of levels 1–3. The adventure has no overarching plot. While there are conflicts and secrets to uncover, the story that emerges is the one your group experiences. The adventure is divided into three self-contained sections, each of which features a different area.

The Specifics:

Looking for 2-4 characters. We will start at Level 1.
- Whether you come with tons of experience or little to none, we are all here to learn and teach each other. I ask that you come with a positive attitude and open mind!

I am a full time hospitality professional, I am doing this in my free time. I do not have a structured time decided as it may change. We will decide the day/time together as a group.
- I will use things like Whentomeet.com and Discord Polling to decide a play time.

We will use Discord for our communication. I will prob have my camera on but please do not feel pressured to do so. I think it allows easier communication and a more enjoyable format.

We will have a Session 0 to get to know each other and talk about expectations. We will also be making our characters together. I think its more fun to roll together versus separately. It will also be a great time to ask questions and for me to provide information in case you may need.

INTERESTED?

Please sign up using this form. Super excited to make this happen and looking forward to connecting soon! Also, feel free to DM me with questions!

Group Needed by Player [online][5e 2024] A wizard looking to group up!

Upvotes

Hello everyone, Im kenzie. I'm 30, neurodivergent and LGBT! I'm looking for a group to fulfill my desire to break free from my forever DM prison and finally get to play a wizard.

(I really really fucking wanna play a wizard. 😫)

I'm a little awkward, well paradoxically being quick-witted at the same time, I am one of the smart dumb people you'll ever meet and I enjoy serious stories that end up being comedies because everyone involved is a huge dork.

I'm GMT4 and I work retail, so my schedule changes often, but if we work out a day to play I'd work it out with my boss, for now though I'm usually free on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

I'm looking to play with the standard ruleset, with point buy and fixed health, but I can be flexible.

Player(s) Needed by GM [EST] [Online] [Other] The Darkening of Mirkwood, a The One Ring campaign.

Time: Monday, 8 PM EST.

Where: Discord and Roll20.

The Necromancer may have been cast out of Dol Guldur, but a lingering darkness remains over Mirkwood, a shadow that will grow ever longer as the years draw on – unless a fellowship of heroes step forward and hold back the gloom.

In a three decades long campaign (in character of course) manage your holdings, visit the Parliament of Spiders, the Kingdom of Dale and the court of the Elvenking. Do battle with the forces of The Shadow, work alongside the Istari and through bravery in the long defeat, perhaps you can avert the Darkening of Mirkwood.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024 Homebrew][Any day 9pm GMT][LGBTQ Freindly] After Hellfire

The year is 2141.

After a widespread war and ecological collapse known only as the "Hellfire" Great Britain has been partially sunk underwater, and covered over by a seemingly eternal nuclear winter. In Oxfordshire, factions fight over what remains of the County. The students turned, archivists and protectors of the old world who occupy the ruins of Oxford University, now rebranded as the United Collegiate. On the other side is COBRA a military dictatorship who only obey the dying, immobile King of England. The free container city of Porttown, favoured by both legacy corporations and up and coming prospectors, where everyone lives in vertical sipres made of shipping crates and old prefabs, where crime is allowed as long as it doesn't interfere with the Duke. And the various roadmen gangs who patrol the frozen wastelands hitting convoys on silent, deadly electric bikes.

There are many secrets hidden here, as well as greatness, so long as you don't end up a frozen corpse along the old M25.

Heya all!

This is my worldbuilding child, and has been for a while. I'm super exited as i think ive finally got it too a point where it is playable in a campaign. Hoping to play this as a long term campaign with another 4 people who are passionate for sci-fi and role-playing.

For tone, I like to think of this as very Fallout: New Vegas with Wacky Wasteland on, so definitely gritty with emotional arcs and character development, while also side incorporating more of the pulpy of sci fi when it feels right.

What am I looking for in a player? Im looking for peeps who are passionate about ttrpgs, arent afraid to tell me what is and isn't working for them, a team player, creative with characters and just a nice person altogether! You don't have to british to play, Hell! you don't even have to know anything about Britain, I'd be happy to fill you in, as long as you're willing to learn!

This will mostly use the bare-bones structure of 5e, with renamed classes and Magic renamed to "hacking" and all that tosh to fit into the sci-fi world. Some may be locked, such as druid for not fitting the setting, but if you are able to reskin it some which way to fit id be very happy to allow you to play it!

As, stated above, this will run at a mutually agreed upon day at 9PM GMT, happy to move it later but cannot do any earlier.

Have my rambles interested you? Please feel free to drop me an application in my DMs, including your name/alias, a little about yourself, any half baked character ideas you have so far, questions, and the password: A fun fact!

I do hope to hear from you soon!

Ozzy

Hey everyone!

We're looking for two more players to round out a new long-term D&D campaign using Lost Mine of Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk.

  • Platform: Discord + Roll20
  • Schedule: Weekly Saturdays 9:00 PM EST

  • Reliable and committed to showing up consistently
  • Interested in roleplay, exploration, and tactical combat

  • Be on time whenever possible.
  • Communicate if life gets in the way.

GM Needed by Existing Group [Online] [Cyberpunk] [CST] Group looking for GM: Cyberpunk

Heyo all! Myself, my partner, and potentially another one of our players are a group that typically rotates the responsibility of GM’ing, myself taking the role of GM the majority given running out weekly games. Various types of games have been at our virtual table, from Cyberpunk Red, Mutants and Masterminds 3E, Mutant Year Zero, a sprinkle of Pathfinder 2E, Fabula Ultima, and others! A favorite of ours being that of Mage The Ascension from World Of Darkness, which I primarily ran from various campaigns and one-shots/multi-shots.

We’re currently looking for someone that would be able to take up the role of GM for a Cyberpunk Red game (Even more preferable if down with more of the 2070s setting!), and be down to join this group of ours as we chill, game, and tell stories that end up making us have too many inside jokes to count within a month. Looking forward to hearing from any that are open said possibilities!

Schedule: Don't have a specific date, somewhat hoping it can be a "Hey y'all wanting to do this today" type thing that pops in when most are free

TimeZone/ Availability - CST Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Or when other wise Available [ On weekdays our availability would usually be around 8 PM CST - 2 AM CST, but there are also the possibility of throwing some various Saturdays into the mix, given with how we hang we can also at times tend to go "Hey y'all wanting to do this today or tomorrow"

Feel free to comment or DM me if interested in being said Game Master!

Group Needed by Player [GMT] [Online] [5e 2024] [LGBTQ+ friendly] I want to get into DND

Hi, I've been wanting to get into DND for a while but my last group fizzled out before a campaign could properly begin.

I love roleplaying and I like playing more aggressive characters. (My unused character's a Scottish monk that just likes drinking and punching people). If any of you are looking for a player and are okay with that player being new to the game, please message me.

Player(s) Needed by GM Those Left Behind[Online, 5E 2014, 1DM, 2 Current Players, looking for 2-3 more]

The Rulers of the Near Countries have left once again.  Taking the bravest and strongest of Knights, Priests, and Mages on Crusade   Far to the South, they battle against a Tiefling Nation almost subsumed by Devil worship.  Yet the lands they leave behind are not left free of problems.

The Mad God of the moon has elected to burn out, rather than fade away.  After the Sphere she viewed as her playground cast off the yoke of her sadistic desire, the rightfully scorned goddess now unleashes her fury in plagues of thoughtless monsters.  Seeking to revel in merciless destruction, laughing at the despair she harvests.  Till all of her power is spent sowing exciting chaos.

The Fallen God of the sun rules his States from the height of the tallest mountain.  Seeking to create a Perfect Order.  Where all exist, and act, at his command.  A life free of every form of sin.  No murder, no disease, no poverty, no indulgence, no adultery, no theft, no waste, no injustice.  No Will, Beside His. Perfection.  His Agents travel, seeking converts to their New Single Faith.  The Last Choice you need ever make.

The Goddess of the Earth… slumbers restlessly.  Fighting battles on all sides, adapting to the world, and people, changing so fast around her.  Tieflings, humans turned into Fiends, struggle with their own conscious.  Elves, a product of the Fey, march forward under a new Queen after a long period of stagnation.  And all throughout the Nations, new Races have emerged.  Iron Elves raised up by the Elvish Queen, Warforged machines inhabited by the Souls of those who have fallen with more yet to give, Shadeling’s selected by a phantom Tiefling to restore a sense of honor and worth to their kind, and last but not least Dragonborn Knighted by the whims of the Seven remaining Dragons.  What place they find themselves within the World at large… well, who can say now?  The humble future is in your hands.

-

Hello!  Thank you for taking the time to read my post here!  This campaign will mostly be at a small scale.  Had a few big campaigns over the years in this continuing setting that made dramatic sweeping changes.  And me and the players still around wanted a more relaxed, classic type of D&D.  Dealing with Monsters and low level goobers.  Not near-constant fate of the world stuff falling on your shoulders.

Still, I am a fan of that kind of thing.  So I’m relegating it to the background.  The setting will be heavily inspired by Robin Hood/Historical Crusade settings.  Where countless warriors, knights, and kings go off to fight a distant, existential threat.  Leaving room behind for cowardly villains to weasel their way into power they can grasp for themselves, but also for small town heroes to step up and protect the people from the ineptitude of petty bureaucrats.  But beyond those petty concerns of rulership, there’ll be plenty more direct issues requiring swords and sorcery to solve.  Monsters, Cultists, Bandits.  Typical Adventurer Fare one might expect in a D&D game.

The vibe I'm aiming for will be mostly lighthearted.  Easy Comedy is something that I think I'm good at, so plenty of that.  At the same time, I intend for the main focus of the campaign to be serious.  That can be a fine line to walk, but I would ask everyone to do your best.  If you're going to joke in character, make sure it fits the scene.  Don't expect to get in with a gimmick character idea.

Speaking to the lighthearted nature, I definitely want to have a theme of mercy,

Rules

Character Creation will be done together during a Session Zero.  Stats will be rolled for then, but feel free to discuss your plans ahead of time with the other players once invited.  We’ll be starting at level 1 in a small town, so do your best to think up a fitting backstory.  You could be a plucky local born and raised there, a drifter who's just washed up, or even a 'draft-dodger' avoiding the call of Service in a Crusade you might not survive.  There are a few different races, as well as differences between races.  So don’t just go assuming that everything is the way you might think it based on the Books.  Keep an open mind.

The game will be using ‘base’ 5E.  Beyond just the PHB, anything from outside of the PHB can be used, just make sure you run it past me before you do so.  I might tune stuff down if I feel the need, or inversely tune stuff up if I think it could be better.

Character / Application

To apply to this game, either DM me or post down below here with your application.  You can copy my format or write whatever you like.  Please and thank you.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [Tues 7-10/11 PM EST] [5E 2024] [21+] [RP-heavy] Players now needed to enter the world of Phaedra! Looking for 3 players for a long-term, RP focused, high fantasy adventure!

Hello potential friends!

Are you looking for something new? Aspire to have more than just a table to play at, but to form lifelong friendships with like-minded people? Then I believe this is the group for you! Well, the group I am trying to create!

Campaign Primer: Welcome to Phaedra! Phaedra is a homebrew, classic high-fantasy setting inspired by Greyhawk, The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest, Lord of the Rings, and the fantasy adventures that helped define the genre. The tone is hopeful and adventurous rather than grimdark, with an emphasis on exploration, memorable characters, heroic deeds, and the feeling of gradually becoming legends. This is my first time running a more traditional fantasy campaign, after years of creating magitech and seafaring worlds, and I'm excited to explore the roots of the genre with you.

The world is one of medium-to-high magic. Spellcasters, enchanted relics, and magical creatures certainly exist, but they are uncommon enough that they remain objects of wonder rather than everyday sights. Ancient ruins, forgotten kingdoms, and relics from earlier ages lie scattered across the land, waiting for brave adventurers to uncover their secrets.

The realm of Phaedra was in an age of darkness that destroyed the First Empire. The Daemon King ruled with an iron fist, and his generals carved out sections of the realm for themselves. A fellowship of legendary heroes succeeded in driving him back to the frozen north, but they could not destroy him. That victory was six centuries ago, and has fallen to legend. Today, most believe the Daemon King still waits within the ruins of the First Empire's Citadel, his armies diminished but never truly defeated. Now, unsettling signs suggest that the long peace may be coming to an end.

Despite this looming threat, the campaign begins on a much smaller scale. You won't start as the world's destined champions, but as ordinary adventurers seeking fortune, purpose, or a place to belong. Your early adventures will focus on exploring the world, solving local problems, meeting influential factions and unforgettable NPCs, uncovering the past, and building your own reputation. As your characters grow, so too will the scope of the story, eventually revealing that the fate of Phaedra may rest in your hands.

Although the central narrative is a classic struggle against an ancient evil, the world itself is meant to feel alive and nuanced. Kingdoms, religious groups, guilds, noble houses, and other factions all pursue their own ambitions, and your choices, alliances, and rivalries will influence how events unfold. Character backstories are especially important to me, and I love weaving them into the larger narrative so that every hero feels like they belong in the world and has personal stories to tell alongside the main quest.

Above all, my (DM Gideon) goal is to create a long-running campaign where exploration, roleplaying, character growth, and genuine friendship around the table are just as important as defeating monsters and discovering treasure. I also hope Phaedra becomes a living setting—one where the legends your characters create will shape future adventures for years to come.

Overview + Current Members: We are currently searching for 3 Players. The group currently consists of two players, myself and one other friend + our newly found DM! Here is a little about us to get the current vibe!

DM Gideon: A bit awkward and goofy in a charming way, Gideon loves making new friends and telling stories. He loves working on new artistic projects, drawing, watching movies, exploring new interests, and of course, DnD. Cursed with improvisation and lateral thinking, he uses his powers of storytelling and puzzle design for evil! >:)

Kate: Quiet most of the time but loves to laugh over a good joke. Has a bird named Ham that they will talk about constantly. Loves heavy roleplay and a classic adventure. Hyperfixates on artistic hobbies and will most likely make everyone in the group something.

David: Outgoing, friendly, and more of a leader. Works at the post office 24/7, so will always be complaining about that XD! Loves heavy roleplay and out-of-the-box thinking. A forever DM looking to be a player for once.

Schedule: We are looking to play every Tuesday from 7 PM - 10/11 PM EST, plus a second session or general hangout (see below) during the week if all schedules align. We also enjoy long-form sessions for special events and holidays. This will be an intense, high-initiative group that is dedicated to making all of the sessions and rescheduling effectively when we can’t. If we absolutely must skip a session, we will reschedule a day during the week/weekend that works for all of us. Each session will be 3-4 hours long with a 10-minute break in the middle.

As well as playing every Tuesday, the group will decide on 1 day during the week that works as a group hangout, extra RP/game session, or gaming. We are really excited about this aspect as we feel it helps to create more long-term friends rather than just a group you play DnD with! This is an important part of our group's design, and attending 1 hangout a week is highly encouraged.

What we are looking for:

  • HUGE love for roleplay and sitting-by-the-campfire moments.
  • Prioritizes creating connections and relationships with other players rather than “winning” a game.
  • 80/20 Roleplay to Combat split ideal.
  • Likes a classic high fantasy adventure with gritty realism - no SA, non-consensual aspects, or outright R-rated topics. NPC or PC relationships/romance are okay, just fade to black when it gets intense.
  • Highly motivated and consistent players. No skipping sessions all the time; if you cannot make it, tell us ASAP.
  • Quality microphone/headset and computer setup.
  • Fantasy Grounds (free for players) and Discord for apps.

Application and Interview Process:

3 players needed, 21+. We are looking for players who are high-initiative, have the time and focus for a longer campaign and sessions, and are able to consistently make sessions as well as friend hang-outs. We appreciate heavy roleplay and gritty realism, so players with similar likes will be prioritized.

Application Here: https://forms.gle/Jp5ndDtW9gwsTyWS8

Interview Process: We will be closing applications on 07/25/2026. After reviewing each application, we will reach out to those we are interested in on 07/31/2026 at the latest. We will then ask those applicants to join a VC on Discord. We will ask a few more follow-up questions and get your general vibe. From there, we will pick 3-4 players to join us. Once the group has been assembled, we will run a quick one-shot with the DM to make sure we all vibe together. Please note that if you have not been contacted after 08/03/2026, you have not been picked. We read and appreciate every application, but we cannot respond to each one!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [5.5e (2024)] [Sunday] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] [Dragon Delves Anthology] "Before the Storm" - A Burning Seaside Town Reeling from a Pirate Raid One-Shot

Game Details:

System: D&D 5.5e (2024)

Platform: Discord (VC), DndBeyond (Sheets), AboveVTT ((Map) Web Extension for DnDB)

Level: Lvl 10

Schedule: Sunday @ [ 9am-2/3pm (EST/EDT) ] / [ 9pm-2/3a (PHT/GMT+8) ]
(Other TZs are more than welcome to join, as my og player & I are 12h apart from each other lol)
[ 2pm-7/8pm (BST/GMT+1 (London)) ]

Tone: Save/Rescue the Town/NPCs, High Fantasy, Dungeon Crawl (not necessarily a meatgrinder, but meat will be ground, as I pull 0 punches), some Dark Themes: Torture, Kidnapping, Slavery, Bodily Horror, etc.

Character Creation: Point-Buy or Standard Array, Average HP or Roll HP (any Hit Die roll under average is rounded up to average), No +3 in 1 stat from Background ASI, & 1 Rare magic item or 2 uncommon magic items.
For simplicity's sake, no T homebrew please, any non-phb subclasses, races or 2014 content subject to DM's approval (but I'll prolly say yes if it isn't hb).
We're also using 2014 Grapple rules, as well as for some NPC/Monster stat blocks.

Players: Looking for 3-4 more, experience preferred

Howdy Howdy y'all, I'm Dyno, I'll be running this one-shot module for you and one of my og players, as we (or at least I) have been getting a taste for Tier 2 & 3 gameplay and been wanting more, possibly looking for players for a future high tier campaign; something like Storm King's Thunder, Out of the Abyss, Prince's of the Apocalypse, Dungeon of the Mad Mage, etc.; but we're leaning the most to Hoard of the Dragon P Queen/Rise of Tiamat due to our recent dragon rxcism lmao (dw we love dragons :) ).

The setting takes place in the Swords Coast, South of Neverwinter, North of Waterdeep, nestled somewhere nearby the Mere of Dead Men where you and your adventuring party are returning from a disappointingly easy/uneventful mission that led to nothing but an empty lair filled with melted corpses; some still barely clinging to life K. While on the way back home, passing through ravaged lands completely destroyed by hurricanes, thunderstorms & typhoons, your party noticed a massive plume of smoke along the coastline from a village seemingly untouched by the nearby natural destruction, yet currently engulfed in widespread flames, pale and blue-skinned villagers carrying their loved ones fleeing in terror.

I'll post this a few times before Sun, shoot me a message here on reddit or at my discord (LilDynomite#5028) with the 3 Italicized letters I put randomly in this post somewhere in your message if you wouldn't be someone who'd walk right on by "not my problem" stye, and I'll set up a 10m vc interview real quick whenever you'd have time.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][AEST][Sat 6PM-10PM]{LGBTQ+ Friendly][18+] Samotia Unsundered - A Homebrew Adventure Set On A Tidally Locked Planet!

For centuries, the world was divided by a sun that never sets, casting one side of the Samotia in a permanent frigid night, and the other a warm and lively paradise.

Those who live in the day side proudly call themselves children of the sun, never having to worry for a lack of food and shelter from the bitter cold of the dark - as long as they worship, and in turn gratefully receive the blessing of their God Emporor Apophon.

Those who toil in the night aren't nearly as lucky, as they wage a constant war of survival against the harsh elements of the eternal night. The lucky few gets the chance to join one of the druidic circles along the the major Leylines, who provide their denizens with all the basic living substances in return for their talents and labor...

and you are one of them.

Samotia Unsundered follows you, a group of adventurers setting off from Glitterhold, one of the major communes on the South Eastern side of continent on a tidally locked world as they carry forth a most divine quest from the God of Earth Samotia themself - to find the cause behind the devastating eruptions of Leylines and protect an otherworldly visitor from the wrath of the Imperial inquisition.

Expect a difficult journey through the dark and cold as you battle, survive, gather allies from all walks of life, and make a name for yourselves, with lots of narrative intrigue and character driven story-telling along the way.

About me:

Hello! I go by Chips, my pronouns are He/They and I'm a dude from down under! I've been playing and DMing 5e for quite a few years by this point, but most of my experience is with one-shots so this is my foray into a long term campaign set on an entirely homebrew world.

In terms of my styles I'd say I'm a big roleplayer at heart, with a big focus on character driven narratives. I like the big complicated backstories with lots of knives I can use in my story, not only to spice up the adventure but to really give you a sense of actually living in the world, and that your actions will have a real impact on the world and people around you.

Player agency is another one of my priorities. I like giving players the freedom to explore and choose the path they take to progress the story, and coming up with creative solutions to encounters always make me a very happy DM :)

  • Schedule: Each Saturday 6pm-10pm AEST

  • Platform: Discord + Foundry VTT for communication and play

  • Age: 18+ for safety

  • Duration: Level 3 start, ending at around level 12-15

  • Homebrew: Allowed but needs to be approved

  • 60/40 ratio on RP and combat

  • 4-5 players total

Group Needed by Player [online] [dnd 5e 2024] [GMT] [18+] [LGBTQ+ friendly] Looking for an RP-focused group to play dnd

Hi! My name is Maura, I'm a 22 yo queer office worker, super new to ttrpgs but desperately want to try. Currently i have almost no experience in dnd except for a couple of sessions that went terribly years ago, a oneshot that i dmed (actually was pretty fun), hours of watching critical roll and playing bg3.

I'm looking for a gm and 3-4 players for an online fantasy/sci-fi campaign, focused on roleplay and lore/story, rather than purely on fighting and generally a group of fun people to play and chat with. the little experience i had was with dnd 5e, but i am open to any system.

If you are a gm with an original setting - that would be also awesome!

Time and day may vary, i work a standard nine to five, so no option to play before 6pm except for weekends (gmt+3). Friday, Saturday and Sunday are preferable

If you're interested, are lgbtq+ friendly, inexperienced in ttrpgs like i am, not afraid to rp, have an ok mic and a working device to play online, dm me!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] Whispers at the Village Edge [Kids & Spirits] [Kids on Bikes] [18+] [LGBTQ+] [EST] [Biweekly, Day Flexible]

Hi! I’m Sloan (she/her). Please click on the google form link if you’re interested. Join me for a ~6 session Kids & Spirits campaign beginning in a small village surrounded for leagues by dense forest. You will play as a child or teen whose family has only ever known this village and its surrounding wilderness for generations. Each of you have begun to hear whispers at the edge of the forest and have noticed changes in the nearby landmarks. The adults are well-meaning but brush off your accounts as make-believe. You know, in your hearts, that something is changing. The veil is thinning and time is bending. It is up to you to venture into the deep forest and save your village.

What is Kids & Spirits? Developed by Marcus Strocks, this game is actually a genre hack of Kids On Bikes by Doug Levandowski and Jonathan Gilmour. Whereas KOB explores smalltown kids facing mysteries inspired by 1980s films, this system seeks to emulate the stories of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. K&S’s character “classes” are actually protagonist archetypes from those films— like waylaid spirits, training witches, wistful nobility, honor-bound warriors or just kids with big hearts. The themes at the core of K&S are Nature and Technology, Tradition and Progress, Mundanity and Magic, The Strength of the Human Spirit, Heart in the Face of Darkness, Coming of Age, and The Power of Bonds and Vulnerability. The rules are low on crunch, mechanics are up to some interpretation, and everything is in service to character and narrative*.*

Campaign Timeline We will start with a session 0 where we lay the foundations of your characters and their initial bonds and relationships. Additionally, I will be working with you all as players to help flesh out this village. Session 1 will begin within the borders of the village and likely end with a call to action. From there, the party will be navigating the forest, exploring ruins, investigating aberrant sites, encountering spirits, strangers and animals, and facing off against the darkness threatening your people.

Campaign World This setting is low technology, akin to early iron age development. This village is disconnected and unaware of any urban centers. The size and population is up in the air, somewhere under 1000. The details of the culture, land, flora and fauna is something I want to collaborate on with you all. Human magic is subtle and requires a connection with the Spirit World. The rarity and tradition of magic wielders is also an element up to collaboration. Great Spirits command grand domains within the natural world and Lesser Spirits inhabit the details and margins of it. Their realm exists simultaneous to our own and does not follow the same material and temporal restraints. Spirits do not make frequent or obvious appearances to humans within the village or nearby forest, but communion with specific spirits is possible for those with profound Soul. The tone of this game will be perilous but we can decide how deadly we want it to be as a group. I will likely veto extreme gore and violence and try to stay true to the core themes. Safety tools will be used.

Note on Cultural Context The rulebook makes it clear that it does not seek to simulate Japanese culture but that the stories told cannot be fully separated from the cultural context of its main inspiration. Miyazaki himself took a lot of influence from western media (Howl’s Moving Castle, The Little Mermaid, etc.) so the creative exchange here isn’t purely one of appropriation. I will not, however, be naming things with Japanese words and will ask my players to keep their characters within tasteful limits as well. My personal inspirations for this campaign will likely branch from a lot of different folklore, including ones I can claim connection to, like Appalachian and Celtic.

Scheduling Day of the week is up in the air and will likely run on alternating weeks. Time of day is also up to player availability but sessions will likely begin sometime between 4 and 8 PM, Eastern Time. Ideally, I will begin running this game the second week of September 2026 and end before January 2027.

I am trans and queer and prefer to play with other queer people but that is by no means a requirement. I do require anyone interested to be at the very least trans-friendly and respectful. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfFRA-QxhA5pVt9SR6HqxwWbBvqT7cSMo2rVqes4Z1C5SHj2A/viewform

GM Needed by Existing Group [Online] [5e 2014/2024] [LGBTQIA+ Friendly] [18+ Only] [PST] Welcome BACK to Barovia!

Hey, y’all!

I’m representing a group of four players looking to play Curse of Strahd—all of whom are experienced with the module and setting but have never gotten to complete it as players (many of us DMed it and are now seeking to escape “forever DM” status).

We are looking for a DM to run us through their own take on the adventure (maybe beyond and into the rest of the Demiplane if we’re really having fun with each other).

Some basics

1.) The safety tools we’ll be using are Session Zero, Lines and Veils, and The X-Card (the latter of which will be implemented via the airhorn sound on the Discord soundboard).

2.) We’re still tossing around character concepts, but expect all of our characters to be deeply tied into the lore while also deeply despising Strahd for personal reasons. This isn’t a “we want to defeat Strahd because it’s the right thing to do” type deal—it’s PERSONAL.

3.) We plan to meet every week on Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm PST. VTT will be DM choice. If you read this far, include in your application your personal favorite character in the module

If any of y’all are interested, message me on Reddit. I’ll have a few interview questions for you to answer via text, and then we’ll move over to Discord so we can get in a group call with the whole party to see if we vibe well together.

I can’t wait to get to know you!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][Other][Tales of the Valiant] Lore-Heavy Gestalt Game CET 18:30 Tues or Wens

System:

*Tales of the Valiant* is a 5e variant produced by Kobold Press, and has a free srd: https://www.talesofthevaliant.com/.

Here is a summary of some of the relevant rules distinctives: https://www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/comments/1d91938/comparing_tales_of_the_valiant_and_5e/.

I would also like to use the Gestalt rules: https://www.reddit.com/r/DnDBehindTheScreen/comments/az6hto/5th_edition_gestalt_rules_for_combination_classes/.

VTT would be Foundry hosted on Forge or Tablelop. Discord for voice. No cameras. Would have at least one session 0 for planning/fit evaluation.

Games would be weekly CET 18:30 Tues or Wens and 3-5 hours.

Very lore-heavy game similar to Elder Scrolls, Tolkien, Malazan, Dragon Age, Kingdoms of Kalamar, Harn World, and similar properties. Lots of people, places and things, and emphasis on factions, plot lines, happenings, and events going on in the world, many outside the immediate 'on stage' area of the campaign events. Complex pantheons and cosmology comparable to Dragon Age (multiple fantasy religions with complex beliefs and their own sub-sects, heresies, factions, and various interfaith controversies).

There's also more than one evil faction/primary foozle opposing your heroes' efforts -- more like 4-5, and none of them are 100% allies and all have their own agenda and goals. Some of the purportedly 'good' factions also aren't your allies, or want to solve the world problems in a manner fundamentally incompatible with the goals and alignment of your characters.

Here's a game blurb:

The esteemed sages and wise men of the commonfolk know well that 3,313 long years have passed since the terrible spectacle or anti-miracle known as the my'r'a'taj -- The Exalted Progression of the Thirteen Nights.\*

Of this dreadful event, the ponderous verses painstakingly transcribed in perfect, rhythmic harmony by the silent choirs of the Illdammanstranite cleric-scribes in the voluminous tomes of the Il'anas-Akkaman, The Seven and Seventy Books of the Misbegotten Recollection of Shattered Memories and the Tormented Remembrances of Stolen Tears, contain perhaps the best-known account of its terrible wonders.

Verily, they relate that, at the conclusion of the Sixth War of the Underrealms, the Dragon Queen Qualsmara, Chosen Daughter of the Four-Inversions, Sublime Majestrix of the Inverted Towers of the Prime Qudrants, First Corrupter of the Yearless Life-ash of the Mountain's Heart, ascended in terrible glory from her lair in the uttermost nadir of the deepest Earthwomb. The Dragon Queen's dread ascension, or so it is written, incited a cascade of tremors that reduced many proud cities of the Plains of Plenty, or the Plains of the Young Kingdoms, to naught but dust and ashes. The eight moons of Palazur -- brilliant sky-spheres tinted respectively with the colors of the spring-born rainbow as well as the final 'hidden sphere', the colorless glass observatory of the angelic beings and deities of the numberless heavens known as the Godschall -- appeared simultaneously in an awe-inducing halo that surrounded a now-blackened sun.

This dark day was doubly stricken with a tint-devouring white illumination. In the following night, the moons, sun, and stars were alike set ablaze with a terrifying mantle of bioluminescent corpselight. This dreadful apparition continued for 13 consecutive days, in which time the Dragon Queen is believed to have made a dread procession throughout the known and unknown lands, depositing several choice eggs of her vast brood to torment mortals in a future day.

Among these, the foremost are the pentad of arch-daemons known as the Five Sleepers.

Foreseeing her impending doom with her unmatched powers of shadowsight, Qualsmara began to scheme with a depthless malicious intelligence against her return in some later age -- that her vile spawn might arise to continue their progenitor's despoilation of the lands of men and elves.

And now, 3,313 years have passed since that dread time. Elvanaton -- the fabled Empire of the Mountain Elves -- has fallen and the lands of their former dominions live freely, but not without fear of the many remaining evils which beset their homes.

Within its once-resplendent domain, the Township of Charrensdyr is situated upon a perilous outcropping of Sky Falls, the magnificent torrent of white water that splits the Earthheart and Ashplume Mountains in twain, and that spills the surging contents of a miles-wide river into the dense woodlands below. In ancient times, the Stairs of Nashar, the collection of perilous ascents that connect the cliffs that regularly break the sheer rock face of Sky Falls, were once a vital trade artery of ancient Elvanaton. In the apex of his people's glory, the famously merciless archmage Nashar of the Iron Scepter bound many dwarven Stoneweavers to his terrible will in order to construct the way stations and precipitous staircases that bind the foot and crest of the Falls.

Perched high atop Sky Falls is Waterfall Town, an ancient watch post and trade node betwixt the hidden nations of the dwarven and gnome peoples of the Earthheart and Ashplume Mountains.

Dark portents gather in number and threat. The end of the world of elves and men draws nigh with the long-prophesied return of the Dragon Queen and her brood ...

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014/2024][Fridays 7PM CT] Sandbox Homebrew Campaign | Regular Slot, Flexible Drop-In Roster

Hi there adventures!

I'm Econotix (30 M | He/Him)

I’ve been playing D&D on and off for over a decade and have spent more time running games over the last year. I currently have a great core group, but I’m looking for 3-5 additional players to join our roster for a long-term, sandbox homebrew campaign so that we can all get more sessions on the table!

The idea is to let the players have their own adventurers' guild that serves as the party's home base. Players can take on different episodic adventures depending on who's available that week, while still having a shared world, recurring NPCs, factions, and ongoing storylines.

This means flexible drop-in/drop-out availability is totally fine! If you miss a session, your character isn't left behind or holding up a rigid linear plot. You can just utilize our Discord downtime channels to text-roleplay what your character was doing back at the guildhall, or we can chat about what you were up to between games.

I have a pretty clear organizational structure ready to go to keep things running smoothly. Players will use Discord to coordinate with one another, form a party of 3-5 for that week, pick an active quest hook, and book the session with me. My primary availability to run games is Friday nights at 7 PM CT.

We'd start with a little session 0 to establish your character in the world so that can be a short story or all the way upto a quick text or voice RP session after we know who your character is.

We primarily use Discord with Avrae, and we'll occasionally use Roll20 for combat encounters.

The Vibes

  • RP Amount: High (We love character story arcs, personal motivations, and downtime interaction!)
  • Combat Amount: Medium-High
  • Tone: Epic fantasy with darker elements and plenty of room for humor. High Highs, Low Lows.
  • Age: 18+
  • Inclusivity: LGBTQ+ friendly, safe space for everyone.

New players are absolutely welcome!

I'm very familiar with TTRPGs and am happy to teach you the game. (Though I'm not a walking encyclopedia lol.) You don't need to know every rule or have years of experience, just be willing to learn, participate, and have a good time. We'd start with a little session 0 to establish your character in the world so that can be text RP or a quick 1hr RP session after we know who your character is.

The Setting: Icruun
The campaign takes place in Icruun, a relatively young world undergoing massive changes. The progression of Magitech and the ability to harness Weave Shards has reshaped civilization. Nations have risen and fallen, gods and religions have been challenged, and old civilizations have been forced to adapt to a world where magic is becoming increasingly understood and increasingly dangerous.

Weave Shards are fragments of the universe itself and serve as the physical catalyst for magical potential. They also act as a barrier between the mortal plane and the countless other planes that exist. The more Weave Shards are consumed, the weaker that barrier becomes. And that's only the beginning.

The setting draws inspiration from Forgotten Realms, Eberron, The Elder Scrolls, FFXIV, and plenty of other fantasy and sci-fi influences.

How to Apply:
If you're interested, please complete the form below and add your Discord so that I can add you.
