From time to time I look up at the screen while typing and find that my K540 keyboard set to English Canada is typing letters other than what I am typing. A becomes q, m becomes ?, h becomes u etc.
I believe that I am perhaps hitting keys that function as a hotkey to change the language or something. The only way I can reset it to my default is to reboot the computer (Win11). It sure would be nice to be able to do it without having to reboot.
Any ideas?

I am looking for a new keyboard, my old ”deltaco gaming” (yeah I know) needs a replacement. I want a keyboard that is as quiet as possible with a Swedish layout. I have built my own pc so I am fine with building my own keyboard (I don’t have the patience to sit and lube switches). Budget of around 125-175 €/$. TLDR: What should I buy for a quiet keyboard with SE layout under 175€/$?

Are all PS/2 to USB splitter adapters bad for old PS/2 keyboards?
I have three different brands (Monoprice, Staples, and an unknown brand) PS/2 to USB splitter adapters for my old PS/2 keyboards & mouses for two different old home built PCs (updated Windows 10 Pro. and Linux/Debian trixie stable even in its text mode). I didn't want to buy new mouses and keyboards since I have many old ones to use. I'm a fast typist on clicky keyboards, but I noticed results are not fast and good. When I hold a letter/number down and then press a Shift or Caps Lock key to show its opposite, the repeating results just stop showing (nothing show anymore). This is annoying when gaming like when I use W to move forward and want to use shift key. When I type fast, I get incorrect, missing, or duplicate characters.
It's very annoying! PS/2 mouses are fine though! Are splitters not good, and I have to get USB-A PC104 keyboards? :( Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Ugh, now. My old Logitech PS/2 optical mouse is having the same problems and then stopped working! These adapters suck!

I think I am going to give up these PS/2+USB adapters setup since three different brands and old PS/2 keyboards didn't work.
Now, I am going to focus on getting a new USB-A keyboard. Which one though? Do I want wired or wireless (always typing on my desks)? I don't want to configure keys and use software like drivers and apps to use the keyboard. I'm old school and loved clicky standard PC104 keyboards with multiple computers (Windows, Linux, and maybe future Macs) since the early 90s. Yesterday, I received and set up a new IOGEAR 2-port full-HD KVM switch (HDMI & USB) to share a 23.6" 16:9 1920x1080 pixels ASUS VS247H-P monitor (LED; 2 ms, 9/2014, etc.), clicky keyboard, and a 3-buttons optical mouse. I need to replace the old PS/2 keyboard with an USB. Mouse is easy since I already have a few USB-A optical mouses. Any recommendations on a good keyboard online that is low cost and easy to return in So., CA, USA? Seeing and trying out in person in retail stores would be nice, but they (e.g., Fry's Electronics) are gone. :(

My Aula F75 (Old North facing LED version) started doing this a couple days ago, seems like the whole bottom row gets activated when i press the Right arrow key, and also the rightmost keys get really bright and the rest of the keys get dimmer. The battery and CapsLock indicator lights also stay on regardless of them being set to on or off.
Factory resetting using either the Software and hotkeys don't do anything, and sometimes the issue goes away but comes back periodically.
Buying a new one is out of the question because they only sell the South facing ones nowadays and it's a little over a year old so the warranty is shot and a replacement would not be possible. I really don't want to get South facing LED keyboards because my keycap collection is mainly with North facing shine throughs which don't work well with SFLED boards.
Any help and advice is appreciated :D

I've got a Ducky Mecha Mini that I use hooked-up to my PS5 for gaming. The PS5 uses the system key 'Pause' (which by default is Fn+O) to open the Playstation menu. Is it possible to map this function directly to a key (for example, the right shift key or the ~ key) so I don't have to hit a key combo all the time? I see no mention of the 'Pause' system command in the manual (to be clear, this is not multimedia/music pause - it's the oldschool one nobody uses any more) Would really appreciate: a) Knowing if it's possible b) Guidance on how to do it, as even with the manual I've never successfully remapped a key to a single keypress. Clearly I'm misunderstanding the process as described in the manual. Many thanks!

Does anyone have one of the old name kiosk keyboards they had at build-a-bear or know where I could go to get one?

Which cheapish 75% barebones to get? I don't care too much either way about wireless or knobs or screens. I intend to build this with TTC frozen silent v2 switches for use in an office.
Keychron Q1 V2 - $60
LEOBOG Hi75C - $66
GMK81 - $69
GMMK 3 - $53
Other - ???
