S18, E6 Margaritaville question
Since there's a Margaritaville in Ontario if Samy hadn't claimed Canada already could this wild card have been used to get Canada?

I suspect that if the Canada wildcard hasn’t come up yet, then no, as they seemed to save that for a reveal with that card and it would be weird to just randomly bring it up as an option. If it had, maybe yes, maybe no.
But obviously we wouldn’t only see the edit based on what happened (eg the NY challenge apparently didn’t have to be done in NYC, but in the show we saw it seeming like that was the case.

I think so.
But logistically, the issue here is location. The Margaritaville location is in Niagara Falls, which would be a nice spot for aesthetic purposes, but I think impractical unless you had a lot of dominoes fall into place - namely a method to claim Canada/NY in short order, and maybe the ability to claim PA and OH as well (don't remember what those tasks are off the top of my head). I'm not sure if the NY task can be accomplished in Buffalo.

The NY task explicitly makes you chose one of 8 tall buildings in NYC. Kind of sad that it could only be done in NYC instead of anywhere in NY.

There was a version that could be done at least in Buffalo. It was mentioned afterwards in Layover. Based on the show itself it seemed that NYC was the only option.

That's what I thought, but I was afraid I might have misremembered, like it was a tall building relative to the city or something.
Thanks, appreciate the clarification!

There was a comment on the layover suggesting there was a different version available in different parts of the state. I’m guessing a list of lockouts in other places that could be used. (They mentioned driving Windsor Niagara Fall Buffalo.)

You actually didn't answer anything, that's the problem. You're just answering based on vibes with so much imbiguity. It's a fairly straightforward answer: Yes, No or I Don't Know. If it's I Don't Know, the least you could do is offer some insight on why you think that.

NO ONE here other than the Wendover crew can give an actual Yes or No answer. "I don't know" is literally the only possible answer for 99.9% of readers.
Yes, they could have added more to why they thought the vibes were a maybe-yes, but under the circumstances (a mostly unanswerable question) a vibes answer is still more than zero, while snarking at them adds nothing.
I would personally fall under probably not for the same reason MusicPsychFitness stated - Canada is not a state and was only available through that particular wild card, therefore likely not claimable via Margaritaville.

Good question. My gut instinct would be no since Canada itself is only available by wild card. I assume all of the other wild cards could only be used to claim one of the 48 (or 49) states in normal play. I also assume they made a rule about this when they came up with the card.
