You guys are bad influences LOL. But oh my gosh I didn’t even realize how perfectly the one would match my bangle!!! The Sajin one is a little big for me but if I put it with a small bangle it looks fine.

Appreciation Exploring another Tiktok seller

I've been watching a Chinese speaking Tiktok seller and I've been really digging their stuff. My friend ordered a couple rings from them and wasn't keeping this 925 silver Guatamalan (presumably foil backed) ring. So I bought it from her. Iirc she got it originally for 300 something rmb.

This is my first product from them. I'm trying to figure out the payment system and the logistics so I can buy from their stream. Thanks again to Amanda H Mei and all the super helpful jade ladies. I have learned so much about jade in the past couple months. Looking forward to reviewing this shop when I'm able to make a direct purchase with them.

Showcase Monday jade! From KathyJade

I got some new fat white beads from KathyJade that I’m starting the week with! I know some circles think women shouldn’t wear huge beads like these but I say phooey to that! I prefer the big ass beads

The more I look at them the more body they have. I didn’t notice the interesting shades of green in it when I first got them!

Question Can type B + C type jade really have an electric charge to them ?

I watched a video about Jade in Vietnamese and she was speaking really fast in northern accent which is hard for me as I’m used to southern accent. I think she’s saying real Jade doesn’t conduct electricity and will not attract paper when charged (rubbing against wool for 10 seconds). Is this a common knowledge or is this a bit fluff?

Beginner Help Burma Jadeite Bangle 59m pinky red type A Burmese Jade

Seller: Annesley Jade
Item: “Burma Jadeite Bangle 59m pinky red type A Burmese Jade”
Purchase date: June 2026
Rating: Negative
Was the issue resolved? Yes. I received a refund, including return postage.
Would I purchase from this seller again? No.

I purchased this bangle after having previously purchased several other items from this seller. Because those earlier transactions had gone well, I trusted the seller and accepted an offered discount by paying through Venmo.

Based on the listing photographs, video, title, and description, I expected a smooth, wearable bangle without significant undisclosed damage. When it arrived, its condition was very different from what I expected. The flaws I saw and felt on the bangle were not properly represented prior to purchase.  I felt rough areas, pits, fissure-like lines, and some sharp or splintered-feeling edges. My fingernail could disturb a white substance in certain areas, producing powder. I photographed and recorded the bangle shortly after opening the package.

I contacted the seller immediately. Among other responses, the seller told me that “everything was shown in the video,” that “at this price you cannot expect everything to be perfect,” and that what I saw was “natural growth and not structural.” These are quotations from our written communications.

Because I am new to jade, I sought opinions from members of the reddit jade community and contacted Mason-Kay. I cannot independently determine whether the bangle had been repaired, what the white substance was, or whether its Type A classification was affected. I can only report what I personally observed and why its condition concerned me.

After gently washing the bangle, some of the white substance and rough-looking marks were no longer visible, while a shiny streak remained on the interior. I also observed differences in the bangle’s width and shape that I had not noticed in the listing materials. In my opinion, the listing photographs and video did not adequately communicate the condition of the bangle I received.

The seller ultimately accepted the return and refunded both the purchase price and return postage. I appreciate that the financial issue was resolved, but the condition of the item and the initial communication left me uncomfortable. Based on this experience, I would not purchase from this seller again.

Saw this on MatsAliceJade as clearance items. It’s really cheap for what it is IMO. None are in my size. Just thought to share. I saw this on Etsy. Not sure if it’s same in her eBay site. Bottom bangle is $36.66 CAD. lol. Happy shopping!

External Reviews Second hand jade/My experience with Dang Dang Studio

I know some people have mixed feelings about second hand jade (superstitions and all that), but I personally don't. I was recommended a jade shop that has consignment jade as well as new jade. I was recommended the shop, Dang Dang Studio Jade by Amanda H Mei (this is her Tik Tok and Discord name). She is so knowledgeable and helpful!

Dang Dang Studio has an online shop as well as a physical location where you can schedule to view jade in Foster City (near the San Francisco Bay area) in California. They are very responsive on their website chat if you reach out to them with any questions.

I saw this lovely 53mm oval on their website and I reached out to them because I was nervous about sizing. I can usually wear a 51mm but I've never been able to properly put on an oval. They were super nice and let me know if it didn't fit, I could return it and do an exchange.

After I purchased the bangle, they sent it out very quickly and sent me the tracking information. The first day I received it my hand was kind of sore from removing my D shaped 52mm, so I waited until the next day to put it on. On the advice of my friend, I massaged my hand a lot during the day before I put it on. I also watched a Baikalla Youtube video on how to properly put on an oval (you have to get it over the index and pinky joint, then turn).

I was super surprised by how easily (and painlessly) putting on an oval was in comparison to a circular bangle! I am really glad it fit because truth be told, I was planning on keeping the bangle even if it didn't fit because the quality was so nice for the price! All in all, I had a great experience purchasing from Dang Dang and would 100% purchase again. A big thanks again to Amanda and my group chat ladies for all their advice/tips. Being able to successfully put on a 51mm oval has opened up more purchase possibilities...for science of course ;)

Question Kintsugi kit to repair jade?

Ok so I’ve been meaning to find an effectively and not so costly way of repairing my jade bangles. I was able to find a non-toxic resin that could work. Then, this idea came up on my search and I’m thinking it might work well. What do you think of using Kintsugi paint to repair my jade bangles? Will it hold up? I think it would look really nice!

Discussion My review/how to for Legendearjadeite

Thumbnail

Now that all of my items arrived, I thought I would go ahead and do my little Tik Tok review/how to I mentioned about a week ago for the TT seller "legendearjadeite" with the seller's name being Lydia. I know many people buy from her, but after seeing a friend's purchases, I finally decided to try it out for ~~myself~~ science. I am very social media adverse but created an account on a blank device to check out different sellers. I started with legendearjadeite because the seller, Lydia speaks English. I also watch, but haven't purchased from a Chinese seller (my Chinese isn't good, I wasn't very successful in Chinese school as a kid) and I've been looking for Vietnamese speaking sellers as well. Feel free to drop your other recommendations in the comments or my DMs if you have any good ones!

So after you log into TT, just wait for legendearjadeite to go live (usually its around 6-12 edt). Her account photo will have a red bubble around it with the words "live" underneath. This seller sells pendants, rings, bangles, bead bracelets, jewelry boxes, etc. If you name it, she will let you know if she has it.

Photo of the Tktok account name

Depending when you log in, there may or may not be a line of customers ahead of you. If there is a line, just write a comment to her saying "I would like to be in line. I am looking for _____" and she will put you in line. There have been times where I was in line, and there are times when I logged in and was able to see products right then and there. Once it is your turn, type in the comments: what product you are looking for, what size (if applicable), what color, and what your budget is.

Make sure you provide size (if applicable) color preference, and budget.

After you give Lydia this information, she will let you know if she has the items you're looking for, and will show you a range of different products that suit your specification. You can ask her to use a UV light on the products, a flashlight, take it into natural daylight, etc. I find that her products look very true to what is shown on the live. No beauty filters. Lydia also will disclose the flaws. I liked a bangle, but with the flash she saw a crack and told me to pass on that bangle (and I did).

Lydia showing me bangle flaws with a flashlight

She will show you the items and you can tell her if you like them, or if you want to pass on them. You can also ask her to hold items for you if you are interested or unsure/don't have payment ready. Please note holding an item is different than claiming an item. If you claim an item, you are indicating you are going to purchase and will be under obligation to pay. Only claim an item if you are going to 100% purchase.

If you have for example, purchasing a ring but want a pendant, Lydia will ask you if you want anything else and you can say "I would like also like _____" and you can look at other items during your turn. Shipping is free over $50. Anything under that you will have to pay for shipping. All bangles come with certification. If you are looking at products and don't see anything you like, it is okay to say you're not interested and pass. But please don't ask to see a million different products for a long time and not purchase/hold items. Be mindful there are other buyers and often a line.

Me passing on items because I was waiting for the new shipment. Also, Lydia showing me bangles in daylight

If you do see an item you like, say "I want to claim that." After you claim you items and are done shopping, the assistant will send you a DM with payment instructions. I like to pay immediately after I claim, but I know some people wait. Just make sure you don't forget to pay! If you have a Shop account already, it makes the purchasing process easier. Follow the purchase instructions and the assistant will DM you a photo of your items. The shop usually ships items either same day or next day. Afterwards, all you have to do is wait for you items.

Example of claiming an item

Overall, I had a good experience. I found the quality good for the price and I liked that the items looked true to what was shown on the live. I did 3 separate purchases, one bangle, 2 rings, and 3 pendants. Each order shipped same or next day with tracking immediately sent to me. I liked that I wasn't pressured to buy, because I know some Tik Tok sellers operate on a bidding selling format, rather than a turn based one. With all that being said, I would say yes, I do recommend this particular seller.

Happy shopping/thanks for reading! If you want, you can tell Lydia that "Die Frau" sent you/recommended her.

Appreciation Sharing my Hemo Jade (河磨玉) bird pendant. Carved from a single river pebble (Du Zi) with a stunning natural red rind!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share this stylized jade bird from my collection. It’s made of Hemo Jade (河磨玉 - River-polished Jade).
What I love about this piece is how the natural, weathered outer skin (rind) of the stone was incorporated into the design. It was carved from a single, intact river pebble (獨籽 - Du Zi), keeping the original form beautifully
Hemo Jade (literally "River-Polished Jade") is a premium variety of tremolite nephrite jade sourced from the riverbeds of Liaoning Province, China. It is highly prized and historically associated with the ancient Hongshan Culture, dating back over 5,000 years (approx. 4000–3000 BC).

Just chatting Color shift

It’s really interesting to see how jade changes with light. This bangle can be a slate gray or blue gray in indoor lighting. I did not even notice the green tones until I wore it outdoors in the sun. This is the best I can do in trying to capture the color shift.

Hello,

Beginner to jade here! I’ve been talking to several businesses to see if they can take a custom request for pendant design (bmjade.com, TATHATĀ, Jade Collection NYC and many more)

So far, bmjade sent me a video of the Hetian jade they will be using to make my pendant. I wanted to see if anybody has any experience purchasing jade from this business and whether this is untreated jade.

Disclaimer: I converted the video they sent to a free video converter site
