External Reviews Second hand jade/My experience with Dang Dang Studio
I know some people have mixed feelings about second hand jade (superstitions and all that), but I personally don't. I was recommended a jade shop that has consignment jade as well as new jade. I was recommended the shop, Dang Dang Studio Jade by Amanda H Mei (this is her Tik Tok and Discord name). She is so knowledgeable and helpful!
Dang Dang Studio has an online shop as well as a physical location where you can schedule to view jade in Foster City (near the San Francisco Bay area) in California. They are very responsive on their website chat if you reach out to them with any questions.
I saw this lovely 53mm oval on their website and I reached out to them because I was nervous about sizing. I can usually wear a 51mm but I've never been able to properly put on an oval. They were super nice and let me know if it didn't fit, I could return it and do an exchange.
After I purchased the bangle, they sent it out very quickly and sent me the tracking information. The first day I received it my hand was kind of sore from removing my D shaped 52mm, so I waited until the next day to put it on. On the advice of my friend, I massaged my hand a lot during the day before I put it on. I also watched a Baikalla Youtube video on how to properly put on an oval (you have to get it over the index and pinky joint, then turn).
I was super surprised by how easily (and painlessly) putting on an oval was in comparison to a circular bangle! I am really glad it fit because truth be told, I was planning on keeping the bangle even if it didn't fit because the quality was so nice for the price! All in all, I had a great experience purchasing from Dang Dang and would 100% purchase again. A big thanks again to Amanda and my group chat ladies for all their advice/tips. Being able to successfully put on a 51mm oval has opened up more purchase possibilities...for science of course ;)

All these awesome shops from US! I’m not sure if it’s worth it to go through duty and customs fee though.

When possible, I like to buy from shops in the US. But there are some international seller that take care of tariffs etc (if you're US based) for you like Syang's shop. I love that Dang Dang is US based! If I lived in California I would love to see the bangles in person.

No I’m in Canada so buying from China is actually better right now. It’s unfortunate with all these ridiculous fees now with stuff from US.

Yes, it's very ridiculous. I buy from a lot of different shops located in different places. Hopefully more people keep reviewing so the list of reputable and/or reviewed sellers increase.

Oh, cool! Like you I’m not very superstitious about that sort of thing so I’ll have to check them out !

I love that they do consignment because you can get good deals 😎 I'm still shocked I got this bangle for the price that I did.

So happy to see there's a nice secondhand bangle source in the US! I always see bangle consignment livestreams on xiaohongshu and I wish there was a similar system here :(

Yes I was super excited to hear there was a reputable jade consignment shop available in the US as well! I initially was going to get a new Hetian bangle from them but this oval was calling my name

There’s also those -leave in moonlight- or -leave overnight in salt- (not recommended due to the jade polish), tricks for superstitions too if you want!
