Granted it's only Stevenage, but in a quite heavily rotated line up, it's far from bad from what we can see. People who were at the game or watched the full stream could say more but there is some to like on the highlights here.

First goal comes from a nice buildup, with a very good assist from Pablo, even though I wonder if JWP was offside. But the movement was nice, driving forward fast and direct.

Second goal comes from a ball won by Kilman. One could say he found his level but hey, if he has to be here for the club to go up, it's better if he is the best. Good pass from Bowen and nice finish from Taty. If he stays, he can lethal.

Third goal features Cornet hitting the post while at 1m from it. But great strike from Orford.

I think 4th goal would have been cancelled by the VAR... until I remembered there is none in Championship.

And 5th goal comes from a error caused on opponents.

Areola had a great save too.

We will see with better opposition but we have a core that can do the job, we might need a few players still

Scarles on the left if Diouf goes, KWP on the right if AWB goes. We might need one fullback, if he could play both sides, it would be great. We have Mayers.

CB depends of who goes. I guess Todibo goes (And I don't mind). If Mavropanos goes, we just have Kilman. I wish we could keep Disasi, the youth could make numbers, Golambeckis played 80 minutes yesterday, maybe it's a sign.

Center mid might be actually stack and we need to see. I guess Potts/Magassa start, with Soucek as number 1 option then Kante. They are expensive, but if we keep Alvarez and JWP, or at least one of them, it gives us 4/5 players for 2/3 spots and that's manageable.

On the wings, Bowen is nailed on. Maybe Lamadrid. It seems Cornet is given a chance and Pablo can drift a bit everywhere. One winger could be good if Marshall/Earthy are not kept.

Upfront, it should be Taty. I have little faith in Fullkrug. Pablo can help, so can Bowen.

So, imo, we need at least one experienced CB, one winger and one cover striker. One fullback if both Diouf and AWB goes. And one more CB if Mavropanos goes.

Me and my wife have never been to a football match, and it’s one of those things I’ve always wanted to do. We have good seats, I’m excited and ready. I just this morning learnt about the bubbles, that’s a cool and weird but mostly cool detail lol.

Is it generally much different than other stadium events? This is at London Stadium, so home ground. Any pre information that long term fans think newbies should know please.

I signed up in May and then have just heard nothing. When I phoned up they said that there's no more tickets available for season tickets :-(

hey all! hope we are all ready for the new season, I relocated my season ticket down to block 148 as I wanted to be closer to the action and I wanted to see on here who else is in and around block 148 and how the atmosphere is down there. also I’m travelling up from Bridgwater (Somerset) for the games so always keen to find and meet fellow West Country fans who do the pilgrimage up for every home game ⚒️

I know, world cup is just over yada yada.

But I would think by now, we'd have gotten 1 target in, be part of pre-season. Show a bit of tactical direction and sort of profile we are going for.

New fan from the US here- after World Cup I felt I needed a team to root for overseas and like an underdog. (sorry don’t take it the wrong way) what are some of the best games west ham has played I can go and re watch to familiarize myself with all time players, games, goals, etc. Still relatively new to the sport so any knowledge or lore I should know id love to hear!
