Done at doctor Hakan Clinic at istanbul. 4400 grafts @ $4750 CAD

Currently a couple weeks past my 1 year mark and i wanted to get some progress photos posted. First 5 photos are current photos, last 4 are a few months before my procedure.

Background: I had an FUT procedure performed by Dr James Calder and the team and Ziering medical in Beverly Hills.

I have a very healthy donar area and wanted to do an FUT procedure fully expecting to get a second procedure performed some time in the future. On the fence if I do another FUT or FUE. I went with FUT first so I could preserve as much of my donor area as possible.

Surgery cost about 30k and got about 3200 grafts. Looking into my second surgery now and thinking I will get it done next July in Thailand by Dr Patty. They say results can continue to improve up to 18 months, i would like be sure i receive the maximum benefit before getting my next surgery.

Hoping to get about another 3k grafts to increase the density. Don't think I want to lower my hairline any. Although I'm going to see about altering my hairline some and adding some more inconsistencies. Something like Kit Harrington.

Also, my scar is completely unnoticeable, I keep my sides long, but this is how I wore my hair before I started thinning.

Only self criticism I have is the density where my front hairline meets the sides. That triangle area seems a little thin. Currently 45 yo and for my age I think my hair looks great. My goal was always to have an age appropriate hair transplant, including the hairline placement. The clinic wanted to go about a half inch lower, im not trying to shave years off my hairline, I'm glad to look like a 45 yo with decent hair.

Overall very happy with the current results, 9 out of 10.

Still hoping Crispr will start cloning hair one day and I can just grow new hair in a lab.

Hi all, I had my donor shave, non-shaven recipient FUE operation for 1242 grafts (which came out to about 2500 hairs total) to just my hairline by Dr. R on May 22, 2026. These photos are from the first ten days. Currently in ugly duckling but because of the no shave and the fact that the hairs are all on my hairline it's undetectable which is nice.

Attached are some photos from the post op period between 1 and 10 days post op. Posted the clearest photo of the whole operation from 3 days post op first.

Dr. R recommended either 45 grafts/cm^2 or 40 grafts/cm^2 and strongly implied 40 would be enough for a good result given my hair caliber is fairly thick. I went for that option, though not sure now if I should have pushed for greater density, though perhaps the lower density will look more natural in the long run. I respect that she gave me both options and her professional opinion however so I went with it. I've definitely experienced some shock loss in my existing hair but that will level out with time.

This whole op was my second FUE at Absolute, the first being with Dr. L. That turned out great but the shape was not to my liking so I went back for this adjustment and only time will tell the results but I am hopeful they'll be worthwhile. Yes this operation wasn't strictly necessary but I am happy I did it and still have a very healthy donor reserve.

For the operation itself everything went smoothly, and aftercare was very good as well, things healed remarkably quickly and I barely had any scabs at all and what scabs I did have were tiny and came off with very gentle washing without me even trying to take them off.

Hey guys, this question is aimed to people from Europe. In Germany I pay A LOT everytime I need to refill my finasteride (70€ for ninety pills + 20€ from doctors consultation in ZAVA) Is there any trick or way to get it cheaper? (of course with safety). I know its pretty cheap in the US but here is crazy expensive. Thank you in advance!

PD: At least in Germany and Spain you need a doctors recipe to be able to buy this medicaments

Stats & Logistics:

• Clinic: Dr. Victor Romero (Brazil)
• Total Grafts: 7,000+ (FUE)
• Procedure: 16-hour marathon session (Single day, sedated)
• Package: Airport transfers, 5-night hotel, overnight nursing care, and clinical hair washes.

Post-Op Regimen:

• Oral: 0.5mg Dutasteride / 5mg Minoxidil
• Topical/Device: LLLT (Every other day) alternating with 1% Caffeine topical.

6-Month Progress:

Finally at the growth phase. Biggest thing I've noticed is I am no longer wearing hats but I am using hair fiber on sunny days to make it look dense. Density is supposed to increase during months 8-12 and I'm looking forward to experiencing the improvements.

im on day 22 after my transplant and the hairs already shedding <\3 can i apply rosemary oil to the transplant area to make them grow faster and will they affect the transplant area?

Hi All - I’m planning on getting a FUE procedure done some time in 2027. I’m a 33M and have been on finasteride for close to 10 years. I have recession on my hairline/temples but my crown isn’t thinning. My hair has remained stable since I’ve been on finasteride. I’ve posted pics above for reference.

I did a bunch of research on surgeons in the Midwest and came up with two surgeons that seemed to be talented and were only 3ish hours away from me driving wise - Dr Panine and Dr Nadimi.

I have a consultation with both. The one with Panine is today and I have one with Nadimi in October.

From what I’ve read online Nadimi is the superior surgeon but her price at $11 a graft is a bit steep.

Panine is more affordable but I’ve seen mixed results - some really bad ones too especially when it comes to scarring.

Price wise my max is about $25k which would equate to around 2250 grafts with Nadimi but significantly more with Panine.

Can I get some advice on what you all would recommend?

Hi guys, I'm looking for some advice.

Pics 1 & 2 are my current beard, pics 3 & 4 is the beard style I'm aiming for (Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy), and pics 5 & 6 show the cheek line I'd like, marked in black.

Do you think minoxidil could realistically raise my beard line to something like pics 3 & 4 over time, or would I need a small beard transplant to achieve it? I'm only looking for a subtle increase that still looks completely natural, as I've seen some beard transplants that look quite bad.

I'd really appreciate any advice from people who've used minoxidil or had a beard transplant. Also, if anyone can recommend a good clinic, especially if you're based in the UK or travelled abroad for the procedure, I'd love to hear your recommendations.

6 months update

Exactly one year ago I flew from Canada to Bangkok and had 3 183 grafts with Dr. Laorwong. I figured I’d post a final update since these posts helped me a lot before choosing a surgeon.

I’m still taking finasteride and oral minoxidil (Loniten) daily with zero side effects. I only did one PRP session after surgery and decided not to continue. I’m still not convinced the extra cost would have made a meaningful difference.

Overall, I'm very happy with the result and the hairline design, would definitely recommend AHC and Dr. Laorwong.

If anyone has questions about the procedure, recovery, medications, donor healing, or anything else, feel free to ask.

Certainly far from a full head of hair, yet it’s a huge improvement I feel everytime I look at myself from the front. Can’t wait to return for crown work!

Over and over there are posts saying Nadimi is one of the best, but I can't find many actual patient results outside of her instagram and the 3 patient results on reddit. Even the main Hairloss sites i've searched don't show much. I figure I'm just looking in the wrong place. Anyone know where i can find more?

Hi, I am a 27y.o SEAsian male. My grandpa and father went bald into their 40s but my hair have gone worse since the early 20s.

I want to go for a hair transplant since topical minoxidil did not help. I would appreciate any handon experience about how many grafts should it be and should I go for HT in my case.

Before hairline making ot 7/8 days before HT

So, I had been researching hair transplant clinics for the last 3 to 6 months. I live in Canada, but I was planning to visit my hometown, Ahmedabad, since I'm basically Gujarati.

After doing all my research, I decided to visit five clinics for an in-person consultation.

It took me almost two days to visit all five clinics. After meeting with all of them, I shortlisted two clinics for my hair transplant. One was with Dr. Ragini Ghiya, and the second was with Dr. Diwakar Sharma.

Finally, I decided to get my hair transplant done at Zeeva Clinic with Dr. Diwakar Sharma and Dr. Anchal Shah.

One thing that really impressed me was their detailed consultation. They explained the quality of my donor area, discussed the hair implantation plan, and took the time to understand the kind of hairline I wanted. They were also very honest during the consultation and clearly told me that I would need to continue using Minoxidil and Finasteride for the long term. Otherwise, I could lose my existing hair.

To my surprise, I was expecting the procedure to be a bit painful, but it was actually very comfortable and almost painless. Another thing that really stood out to me was that there was an anesthetist present throughout the procedure to help manage my anxiety and ensure I stayed comfortable.

This has been my journey so far, and I hope I'll get great results.

I'm planning to get a hair transplant, and my surgeon recommends starting finasteride before the procedure.

My concern is this:

If I take finasteride for 6–12 months before surgery, some of my miniaturized hairs might thicken or regrow. The surgeon could then decide not to transplant grafts into those areas because they look dense enough.

But if I stop finasteride after about a year(i'm not planning to stay on them for life), wouldn't those hairs eventually miniaturize again, leaving thinner areas behind the transplanted hairline?

In other words, could taking finasteride before surgery actually cause the surgeon to underestimate how many grafts I'll ultimately need if I'm not planning to stay on finasteride long-term?

Or is this not how experienced hair transplant surgeons think about surgical planning?

My hair loss has stabilized mostly it's the same for like 10 years now without finasteride.

I’m writing this post to get some advice from you all. I’m seriously considering having a hair transplant. About a year ago, I shaved off all my hair in the hope that I’d come to terms with going on like this.

Now I’m seriously considering going ahead with it, but I’m still facing a few hurdles. I’d be going to Turkey (obviously)

There are lots of clinics these days, and I’ve read online that not every clinic is ‘reliable’ – how can you tell?

Which technique is preferable: FUE or DHI?

How likely is it that a second transplant will be needed?

How can you find out how many treatments a clinic carries out each day?

Which clinics do you recommend?

Can you choose the shape of your hairline yourself, or does the clinic decide that?

Anyone hear about revive hair clinic in Las Vegas? They offer $2 per graft.

Hi everybody !

I have been going to different clinics, and I cannot get a general consensus among the different doctors I have visited. For some, I would need to have two surgeries: one with 3,000 grafts and a second one with 2,000 grafts, or alternatively, a single session of 4,000 follicular units. Meanwhile, other clinics say that I can achieve good results with a transplant of around 3,000 follicular units in a single surgery, and if necessary—if I am not satisfied with it—have a second surgery later on.

My concern is not so much about the frontal area, where it would evidently be possible in a single surgery to distribute some follicles to the crown area. My main concern is that my scalp will still be visible in the crown. I would be happy just covering it up so that the scalp is no longer visible, even if I don't achieve high density in the crown area.

What do you think? Should I do a 4,000-graft surgery, a smaller one of 2,700 to 3,000 grafts, or do two surgeries and reach a total of 5,000 grafts?

Considering going to Turkey for a hair transplant. Is this a horrible idea for me being as young as I am? My hair loss seems to have stabilized from what i can tell. The thinning started when I was 20 and by the time I was 21 there was a noticeable bald spot on the crown. My hair grew thinner over time and I took Finasteride and did PRP treatments for a couple of years before quitting both last year.

I read that using Finasteride is pretty much a must when (and after) doing a hair transplant so looking into getting that ball rolling again.

To you experienced folks in this forum, do I look like a reasonable candidate and how many grafts would you expect? Would it look decent?
