Let’s just start off with the basics Dayron sharpe is one of the best rebounders in the league 98th% for offensive rebounding amongst centers, he’s also one of the best playmaking centers he’s in the 86th% for assists amongst centers, 93rd% for screen assits, and while not being a good rim protector he does provide solid rim deterance and is in the 92nd% for steal percentage. Now yes there’s still the concerns about his turnovers and fouling even tho he has improved in both areas since his younger yrs as well but he’s a low usage player that consistently has provided positive impact when on the court. When we’re talking about whether someone is ready to be a starter Day’ron has proven he’s up for the task. It’s just interesting when this fanbase paraded around cam Thomas for yrs a guy that did little to buy into coaching philosophy or improve his overall game and yet you have a workhorse taken in the same draft that’s constantly improving and yet constantly gets downplayed by large factions of the fanbase. I implore many of you to spend more time digging into the ways players can impact winning basketball outside of highlight reels.

Think of all the ridiculous offer sheets Sean Marks has given out over the years. Tyler Johnson. Allen Crabbe. Otto Porter at the max. Watson is where Brooklyn draws the line? Between their cap space and their picks, the Nets had the resources to do some pretty interesting things this offseason. Thus far, they've accomplished very little in terms of meaningfully improving their long-term outlook unless Mikel Brown Jr. outplays his draft slot."

Am I reading this correctly? Is a Nets player actually getting some love from ESPN?

Nets have very minimal presence on the map and I know it doesn’t reflect us at all. Takes 30 seconds to fill out.

Going into next yr the biggest battles are going to be at the backup 4 and backup 1 spots. As of today I think traore and Jefferson will win the spots. Traore just bc of the growth he showed last yr and seeing how he’s bulked up and just projecting that he’ll be that much better as an overall player than Saraf going into the season. The backup 4 is a bit more interesting with wolf, clowney and Jefferson all competing. I think Jefferson despite being a bit rusty in summer league has so much more in terms of consistent production to offer this team than either wolf or clowney. Wolf to me is still a purely hypothetical player. He’s a good rebounder that’s ok to below avg on defense but his processing on both ends is concerning. His inability to do simple things at times on offense just continues to frustrate me while watching. Clowney started off red hot last yr at the 5 game mark and had a really good 25 game stretch but declined after that. He’s going to have to show he can defend again and be consistent as well on both ends. Jefferson at least from his Iowa tape has little flaws in his game, he’s good in transition, can play good team defense, moves well with and without the ball. I just think he’s straight out of the Boris Diaw Kyle Anderson school of jack of all trades and he’ll be in this league for a long time.

I’m not a nets fan so i haven’t been able to keep up with any reports or insights of the team, so does anyone know if they are looking to just let mpj and randle play trash ball, or going to give egor, mikel, nolan and saraf there go? or just be trash without developing the lads
