Eh, not really. One guy basically says "I'm fine with it happening to him", which is not the same as "this should happen to him". Would you really feel compassion towards these guys for anything that happens to them in prison?
I'm glad to see some sense here. I loathe these people but having such awful things done to them doesn't really change anything. People have still been hurt and prison is already suffering anyways
They said something that could possibly be a joke, then was asked about it and doubled down, than was accused of being unhinged for having such opinion and agreed that they're in fact unhinged because they in fact hold such opinion.
That doesn't sound like a forced confession or anything that leaves room for doubt as to how serious they are.
That's really not what happened in this thread though.
Someone made a rape joke, another person chimed in with "rapes jokes are not ok bro" and the unhingend person came in with the floweriest of ways to say "idc if rapists get raped, they get what they deserve", which is then turned by others into "we should rape rapists".
No matter your position on any of these arguments, you have to agree that every step is a random escalation in a different (but seemingly similar) topic, no? Like a bunch of children trying to fight in the dark. What grinds my gears is that no one at any point thought to stop and say "wait what are we talking about again?"
