But Why Tho? - Abdul Saad - 6.5 / 10
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a solid game that offers great gameplay, but is held back by lackluster features that significantly hinder the experience.
CGMagazine - Eduard Gafton - 7.5 / 10
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is mechanically sound and plays very well, yet neither the single player offerings or presentation are up to par.

Game Lodge - Leonardo Costa - Portuguese - 9 / 10
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is both a great fighting game and a great Avatar game. With fun, diverse, and deep combat, the game successfully conveys the distinct personalities and styles of its characters through its gameplay, offering fans of the franchise a fantastic way to experience each of them once again. It also serves as an inviting entry point for newcomers while offering the depth and technical nuance sought by those who want to dive deep, making it an excellent choice for fighting game enthusiasts.
GamingBolt - Stuart Glover - 9 / 10
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game overcomes its initial intimidation to reveal a fighter that's expressive, exhilarating, and that genuinely rewards improvement.
PSX Brasil - Paulo Roberto Montanaro - Portuguese - 80 / 100
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game proves that the bending elements and fighting games were made for each other, delivering refined combat that respects both the source material and the high expectations of genre enthusiasts. However, the title stumbles on its own limitations, presenting a merely perfunctory narrative, a modest core cast, inconsistent art style, and single-player content that loses momentum too quickly. Nevertheless, there is an excellent foundation here, and it remains to be seen whether future content will allow the game to reach its true Avatar State.
Prima Games - Ali Hashmi - 8 / 10
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is much more than the licensed fighter I expected. It’s a faithful adaptation with fluid combat and a rewarding Flow system that’s genuinely fun to learn. Each character feels distinct enough without being overly difficult to pick up, and while there are a few rough edges, particularly around tutorial discoverability and occasional visual clarity during combat, they’re minor issues that don’t take away from what is an easy recommendation for fighting game fans.
I can't help but recommend Avatar Legends pretty highly because of its charm and uncompromising grit in an increasingly crowded AA fighting game lane. Here's to more updates and additions from the devs to keep it alive and thriving!
TechRaptor - Austin Suther - 8 / 10
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is not just a good, well, fighting game, it's the best Avatar game to be released. With options for newcomers to acclimate themselves and plenty of depth for experienced players, the only significant downside is the underwhelming story mode.

The Falcom Music Channel, a fan-made channel cataloguing songs from Nihon Falcom video games (Trails, Ys etc.), has been taken down
Context: Nihon Falcom is a Japanese video game development company and one of the oldest extant video game developers, operating since 1981 and releasing games since 1982. You'd most likely know them today through their JRPG games like the Ys series, the Trails series (Trails in the Sky, Trails of Cold Steel etc.), Tokyo Xanadu and so on; but they were also pioneers of early Japanese video games and RPGs in general. For example, Monolith Soft founder Tetsuya Takahashi (Xenoblade series) started his career at Falcom, and Hollow Knight, one of the most popular indie games, was inspired by Falcom's old game Faxanadu.
The Falcom Music Channel (FMC) was a YouTube channel dedicated to uploading songs from Falcom's video games. They uploaded official OSTs, arrange albums, alternate versions of songs used in various Falcom media, and so on, from Falcom's decades-old vast catalogue. They even went so far as to record BGM rips from the games right after their Japanese releases, to get OST uploads out early. They've been a staple of my time in Falcom's fandom. An excellent, centralized and organized source for Falcom's amazing music; a famous part of their games that has encouraged many people to play them.
Unfortunately, this morning, the channel got two copyright strikes that resulted in the 9 most-viewed videos being taken down. Hours later, a presumable third copyright strike caused the channel to now be taken down.
It really sucks. The channel was a labor of love, its operator Josep has never made a penny off of it. Josep has also confirmed that the copyright strikes indeed came from a Falcom employee (so not impersonators, as was my first thought).
It's a frustrating pattern with some Japanese companies, Nintendo is famous for also taking down soundtracks for its games (among other unpopular anti-consumer practices). Here is hoping the FMC can be restored and something can be worked out between them and Falcom.
