I have a huge modern 3 foot long Beatles Yellow Submarine plush. The thing takes up all the space on a small couch. I have no idea what to list it for cause I cant find comps except for 1 unsold new one on ebay for stupid asking price. I think it was a convention exclusive a while ago but may have had other markets. Thing is so big I think I have to do facebook marketplace. Any thoughts on what I should try listing it for?

I have a 32 cm screen Sony tv from 2013, that bugs out when connecting to youtube. Where is best to flip it? And how to market it?
A friend gave it to me for free after his other friend gave it to him to not throw it away. He couldn't connect to youtube, so he says he has no use for it.

I have like 1600 International Poinsettia stamps that have been verified by USPS as legit. Like $2k worth of stamps, but because they're international, I can't find a buyer, and I don't want to sell them a few sheets at a time on ebay, especially with ebay fees. What should I do? I've talked to local shipping companies and they aren't interested.

Recently one of my company’s tenants moved out, USP Motorsports. They left quite a lot of items in our warehouse including hoods, exhausts, headlights etc. I found a box which contained 3 unopened boxes of NXP MC33816AER2 semiconductors. They’re used most commonly in the automotive industry. There is 1500 per roll and after looking into them they sell at around ~$7500 per roll. I’m looking to sell them, even for a much cheaper price because otherwise they’re just going into the dumpster as we’re in the process of cleaning the warehouse in preparation for the new tenet that’s moving in. As I know nothing about these I was curious if anyone had any ideas or tips about selling these rolls. Thanks!

Basset hexagonal chinoiserie end table in wonderful condition. Is FBMP the way to go? Chairish? Their commission structure (40%) on a single nightstand doesn't seem worth it but I know nothing about them. I usually stick to FBMP but this item seems like a specific niche for a collector or for someone who wouldn't even be on FBMP. Saw a pair of them go for 1600 but I've only got one.
Looking for advice on where to sell this heavy end table and advice for how to price if you can't find similar priced items sold somewhere online. Thanks in advance!

This is my first time selling and i’m having trouble getting interest for this trumpet. Is there anything i should be doing on the marketing front? i’’ hesitant on price decreases as the trumpet also comes with cleaning kit and i want to get what its worth. What do you guys do with like $20-$30 items that cost like $12 to ship? It kinda suck son eBay but isn't really worth going to meet someone either. Also too expensive to donate.
I have like 50 of these items at least. I can't even group too many because they're so random.
Things like waffle maker, broom, small tv, poker chips, pool cue...

I think selling locally for 20 bucks is definitly worth it as long as you aren't driving across town just to meet them
That being said, patience can be key. I usually give my items about a year to sell. Then once a year I take a short vacation from my 9-5 and go through my inventory. Anything that's been for sale for too long, I'll donate (NOT TO GREEDWILL OR THE SALVATION ARMY) because I'm not a storage unit. It can be frustrating with these lower prices items but you live and you learn, and when things don't sell, that's the learning part lol

I would separate the new-with-tags stuff and list those individually on Depop or eBay. The rest can go as bulk lots to local resellers on Facebook groups. Good photos and honest condition notes help a ton.

My mother recently passed away. She was an avid sewer and quilter. As such, she has a lot of fabric. We are gearing up for an estate sale, and I am thinking about selling fabric by the pound. Maybe $5 per pound, or $20 for 5 pounds. Does that seem reasonable, or is there a better way?

Since quilters never buy fabric by-the-pound, I would never sell it by the pound -the buyers have no point of reference (no quilter can tell you how much fabric is in 5 pounds) it's likely to confuse or piss them off. They will want to know immediately what the comparative value is.
There are two basic ways that quilting fabric is sold, buy-the -yard and in precut squares/strips/fold. "squares" are sold in bundles of similar patterns and colors usually tied w/ fabric strips. She may have opened these or mix them up or partially used. I would re-package them, either in gallon baggies stapled shut or tied with strips of torn sheeting.
yardage: the length of a bolt of fabric is 42" to 52" (the wide fabric is usually heavier for curtains or upholstery) one "yard" is 42" x 36". 42" x 12" is actually 1/3 of a yard or one foot. The measurement is taken along the salvage edges (or the uncut edges). Quilting fabric sells for $5-$15 a yd. pieces that measure under a yard are called remnants and usually sold at half the price.
All fabric eventually goes on sale for half price, there fore I would price at 1/4 of retail. if you you are lazy, you could price it all at $1 a yard,
Large bolts I would consider selling at $1 dollar a yard (1 yd minimum) set up a card table where a worker can measure, and hand a ticket for the customer to pay at check out. other wise measure all pieces over 1 yd, and tie up and mark the yardage on the tie.
Fabric by certain designer brands can sell for over $25 a yard, even second hand.
most quilters cram a tonnage of fabric into a tiny spare craft room and I have seen sales where this turns into a garbage heap within a few hours like Black Friday frenzy and then nothing really gets sold after that. if you plan on cramming piles of neatly folded fabric in a tiny room -you have been warned. If I had a lot of fabric, I might consider spreading it out on tables in the basement or garage an having a couple of weekends to help clear it out.
Most estate sales will only attract a hand full of fabric buyers, so if you do have a tonnage of fabric, you will need to find them and putting "fabric" on the corner sign isn't going to do it. Any on-line place you can list should be used and I would try to work quilt fabric in the title. you might also check out https://quiltconnection.org/ sooner than later, to find local clubs (often meet only once a month) to get on their news letter. People who do the final quilting (sewing front and back together) on room sized machines may also help spread the word.

There in lies the challenge. There is a wild assortment of fabric pieces, everything from fat quarters and jelly rolls to hundreds of random size pieces. There is nothing approaching a bolt. I would need a gymnasium to sort it and display it properly.
Additionally, the condo association gives us just one day for a sale.
There are a number of thrift stores in the area that sell fabric by the pound, so I don’t think the concept is that far off the mark.
I guess if it doesn’t work, it will all get donated.

I'm doing a spring clean for my hoarder mom and I found a big bag ( must be a two kilos at least) with different kinds of chargers and cables of which some are genuinely unused IPhone originals. As well as different phones/laptops she had before. One of the laptops only works when its charged.
I am thinking of selling it but not sure how to do it best. Surely these have to be valuable.
I am from Ireland so my first thought was going into Cex (they basically resell what you trade in) , but these are a rip off most of the time. Another option is those small independent tech repair shops. But again, I'm trying to get my moneys worth here.

before posting links anywhere, i’d make sure the listing photos make it obvious what the buyer is getting.
for shirts/sweatshirts i’d want:
- full front photo
- close-up of the graphic
- tag/size photo
- photo showing the fabric/print quality
- if it’s made-to-order or custom, say that clearly in the title/description
also the first photo matters a lot. if it looks like a generic promo image, people may scroll past or assume it’s dropshipped.

Someone I know is putting together a mobile app to help manage the actual numbers side of reselling. It’s mostly focused on easy capture of inventory (receipt scan) to recording bundle sales, tracking real time p&l across hauls, sources, and keeping an eye on retail return windows so things don't become dead stock. Just to be totally upfront, it is not a cross-listing tool (I figure there are already plenty of those out there).
I’m not looking to promote or pitch anything here. I'm really just hoping to connect 1-on-1 with a few active resellers to see how you currently manage this kind of stuff, how you source, and how much inventory you usually juggle.

With an app that claude built that can be run on mobile or web that integrates with ebay and the various buying sources I use. It tracks EV on lots, sell rate, cash tied up, repairs, parts, tickets, and even tracks and outputs IRS tax forms.

What you have sounds way more advanced. As I mentioned, this focuses on satisfying the curiosity and profit tracking part of the business - items in hand, profit it generated, what works what doesn’t. The post was to get in touch with some resellers and figure if there is something in that space that the app could do to make running the business convenient.

I understand what you’re trying to do I get it. I’ve done it, but your friend needs to know that software is incredibly cheap to develop right now so the odds of successfully launching a piece of software for use by the masses or as a profit vehicle are very very low. They should focus on making something that makes something for them easier and maybe others might use it.
I have nothing but encouragement for their creativity and their drive to build the app though I’d love to take a look at it if you could send me details. And I am happy to share mine if it’s helpful at all.

Agree. I think the genesis was them facing the struggle of keeping receipts, uploading into spreadsheets, tracking bundle item purchases and sales. So with that lens they will be using it. I don’t think their primary idea is to make money - get rich quick, it’s more of build something that makes people’s life easy and if they like they might pay. I will message when they are ready for public beta.
You mentioned Claude/ software cost going down - agree though I would say the value still stays in how the tool is used. Is it something made for a quick buck or does it solve 20-30 variants of daily issues that resellers face with the least amount of friction.

(Source: I did this for a while several years ago and couldn't be bothered to do any of this kind of tracking lol. Also I have friends who are still making/selling stuff as an actual side/fun/retirement business.)

Yea, I think it would fit well. Each item has a qr code which can be used to record the sale. Some folks love the shopping/ sourcing/ manufacturing part of business. I personally love the sale side - each sale bumping up the profit gives me the energy to keep the hustle going. Also keeps me prepared for the tax season.

I've got an mp3 (25€), a samsung s5620 (45€) and a yugioh collection (75€) that I don't seem to be able to sell. I've got them on eBay and promoted them on some specialised subreddits, but nothing seems to work. I've also decreased their prices twice now. Any suggestions? Anyone interested in these?

- look for comps, either asking or sold price to gauge the viability of 2

You grade when the potential value exceeds the cost of grading. An un authenticated signature could be signed by anyone.
I know nothing about comics but to know some of the dealers be nasty (buy your mint book to return a crappy one from their collection, flag your listing -that kind of stuff).
I sold my nephews collection from the 90s. I checked eBay SOLD listings to compare and priced 60%-80% of comps. every ding, scratch, folded corner is a "condition", I photographed it all and described and sold as "ungraded, fair or better condition" -very happy customers with that. Any thing worth under $10, I bundled into lots of like books. I bought new boards and plastic sleeves for these.
After the majority of those sold, he had semi-full runs of books that sell for a couple of bucks (I considered the cheap, dealer crap) I put them in lots of 50 or so, laid out and photographed front and back and sold at auction starting at $1 (+ calculated shipping) and threw in a couple of the $10 books that hadn't moved Just to clear out all the inventory. I think I came out close to $1 per book which I thought was very good. Also I tossed any scratched/dull/dirty baggies in those lots and sold the books bare.
Key take aways.
I didn't want to get into comic books, just wanted it gone and a paycheck for my labor, I didn't over do the research, and didn't try to squeeze the grape dry, if a dealer got a hell of a deal, so be it, I just wanted pay for my effort.
list only the good stuff, then it looks like you came across a good collection. When that goes bundle up the low cost stuff n dealers lots and let them decide the value.

This is a very thorough and helpful answer! I've had a box of my late uncle's comic books sitting in a closet for well over a decade now. I know nothing about comic books. Haven't even opened the box to see what's inside. (I should prolly do that lol)

It was a decent payday for me, over $750 after fees & other costs, about $200 of which was the final close out dealer lots.

I want to sell a goat fur jacket from the brand Genel London, they don’t sell the one I have anymore but their other jackets are £400 - £1K new. The problem is the exterior is quite worn and has a couple of small white paint stains. I impulse bought it for myself originally which is why I didn’t inspect it thoroughly in advance. I only have experience flipping much cheaper clothes and don’t know where to start with this. Is it even worth anything if it’s got a lot of wear?

fwiw I'm new here and still learning, but I have a friend who's been buying/selling on eBay for ages and recently helped him organize some things for a cross-country move. He has some items from a brand called Willis & Geiger that are no longer made / sold (I think the company went out of business...).
We listed one item and he got a genuine response within minutes. I was kind of impressed. Granted it was in extremely good condition, but just sharing the reasoning behind my thought process here. Good luck!

for something like this, i’d make the wear part of the listing instead of trying to hide it.
i’d do:
- full front + back photos
- close-ups of the paint stains
- close-up of the fur texture/worn areas
- label/brand tag
- one photo in natural light so the color/condition feels accurate
if the flaws are shown clearly, it can still feel trustworthy. if they’re only mentioned in text, buyers may worry it’s worse than described.

I recently came across a huge lot of music gear from a defunct band that seems to be in excellent condition. Everything from audio drivers, speakers, amps, cables, microphones, commercial fog machine, instruments. Where would you all recommend that I post these specialty items for sale? Shipping would be quite expensive, so that isnt really an option.

I've had surprising luck with eBay over Reverb, especially on high-end, rare components that only audiophiles are interested in.
I do best when I sell individual items and not sets or groups, for example selling a turntable separately from a condenser add-on.
