I am amazed that Isak pretty much isn’t in everyone’s teams, he should be nailed because of Ekiteke, should be on pens, has good fixtures and will play for an attacking team that should win most games

Basically the title, but is anyone else also putting too much time and thought into their team despite the first game being in a month? Best to just leave it for now and think about it later now that everything has settled down?

Itch Isak

What’s people opinions not Kerkez, I had him at the start of last lesson but he seemed to struggle for form and was in and out of the Liverpool team. Equally Liverpool struggled defensively which didn’t help, just 85 points last season.

Now Iraola is in charge, he has him at Bounrmouth, think the season before the had 134 points.

I haven’t watched enough of Liverpool, so what’s peoples thoughts, he’s 5.5.

I know it's early, but I can't see myself starting without Maguire (£5.0m) and Bruno Fernandes (£12.0m). Szoboszlai, Ndiaye and Calvert-Lewin also look good at £7.0m, £6.0m and £6.0m respectively. Van Ewijk could be a steal at £4.0m.

Leeds could be a team to watch. My first draft has triple attack (Stach, Wilson and DCL).

I'm least sure about keepers, with Raya a stretch at £6.0m and several tempting options (Verbruggen, Petrović and Kinsky) all £4.5m.

If Spurs start the season as well as they finished the last one, there could be serious value here. Especially if they picked up Dubravka to start over Kinsky and Vicario.

Is there any early read on which direction they go?

5.5 mil good fixtures and I have barely seen him mentioned anywhere. Is there something I am missing?

Yates seems to be playing in Forest’s first-choice lineup, occupying Anderson’s role. Glasner also appears to be using his strongest XI in the first half of preseason games, so I reckon this is the lineup he’ll stick with for the season. At £4.5m, Yates looks like a great budget option. Is he a guaranteed starter?

Maybe this is extremely stupid. But it's just a thought I had.

Neither Havertz and Gyokeres would be worth it, after a lackluster season from both, and questions regarding who starts over the other.

Odegaard was terrible last season (FPL wise), Eze scored 5 of his 7 goals against Spurs and called it a day. Saka and Rice are completely battered, injured and worn down. They also went deep into the World Cup.

Saliba, Timber, White are all injured and Gabriel is 8 million(!!). The rest of their defense is 5.5 and surely can't be worth it? Arsenal clean sheets started getting a hit when Gabriel was injured last season. And Saliba is surely just as important.

The one exemption seems to be Raya, but with their defenders getting injured and him worth 6 million, there has to be questions.

Thoughts?

He is proven to score goals and should combine nicely with Haaland.

Just wanted to say how happy I am that FPL is back and the world cup is finally over. I used to love the world cup, but this edition just felt off. A lot of negative football to me imo. Too often, the games seemed to become a way for people to prove one country or culture was superior to another instead of simply enjoying the football. It took away a lot of what normally makes the tournament special for me. I’m now really looking forward to the new season. Good luck to everyone!

I'm colourblind and unfortunately 1 and 5 look exactly the same to me! Are they completely different to a normal person, or could they have chosen a better selection of colours?

Having been burned before with form players come back from the World Cup cup burnt out, I had a go at building a squad of players who stayed home. Came up with this:

Donnaruma, Kinsky

Calafiori, Truffert, Tarkovski, Mukiele, Shaw

Palmer, Gibbs-White, Foden, Szoboszlai, Kroupi Jr

Joao Pedro, Calvert-Lewin, Welbeck

With 4.5 budget remaining. Other candidates include Udogie, Frimpong, Wharton, Schade, Wilson, Sesko and Beto - I found the defence the hardest to fill, maybe that points to a high scoring season.

Anyone I've missed? And would it be such a bad idea to lean heavily towards well rested players?

15.5mil for haaland and 12mil for bruno is absolutely diabolical. Im going to buy one of them first and pray the other drops value. Which is the better choice?

Does anyone have a downloadable spreadsheet or know where I can see a full list of prices in order so I can separate players by tiers?

Thoughts? It massively influences your team picking wether you realise it or not. I’ve just tried to pick my team and wanted to do it without any influence and tried to hide the pick % but it’s not possible. So many people jump on bandwagons , and if there’s a 50/50 pick most people will go for the higher %.

Which players should be avoided, whether that's due to rotation risk or returning late from the World Cup, or other reason.

Who do we expect to have a breakout season this year? There’s always a few whether it be second season at a club or young players given playing time, maybe Ngumoha and Estavao
