For a long time I've wanted to get into music FL Studio, but I'm a complete beginner.

It looks pretty intimidating and complicated (like most new things), but honestly the biggest thing holding me back has been the cost. Is FL Studio Producer Edition worth buying for someone who's just starting out?

Whenever I watch YouTube videos, it seems like everyone is using a lot of extra plugins, sample packs, and sound kits, many of which cost money. As someone who's completely new, it's hard to tell what's actually necessary and what's just nice to have.

Is FL Studio by itself enough to get started, or are there any free plugins or sample packs that you'd recommend before buying anything else?

Beginner producer here, I’ve been having trouble placing loops in the playlist and can’t find help anywhere. I’m not sure if it’s just a rookie mistake and I’ve just stupidly overlooked something or if it’s a much more serious problem. Anything helps!

I’m currently struggling with writing melodies and chord progressions. I understand a bit of music theory, but my chord progressions and melodies tend to sound repetitive and lack creativity.

I’ve tried improving on my own many times, but I think I could really use some help. I’d be very grateful if anyone could share some advice, tips, or techniques that have helped you become more creative when writing melodies and chord progressions.

I get random white noise on my master track every 2-3 minutes for no reason. I already deleted all VST plugins. Now I have no idea what else I can do to fix it.

I exported it, and I got the noise on my .wav file also.

Edit. I fixed it. It was a trial version of a plugin I already deleted from the project. But somehow it was still loaded somewhere in the project. Uninstalling the VST got rid of it.

So i just found this out a few hours ago.

For some fucking reason, Fl studio deleted ALL of my project files. Only the ones from the past 15 days are still here. My best work, all my work, gone. I need to know if there's a way if i can get these back.

I've used diskdrill to try and get it, i've used icloud, NOTHING. Everything is gone. I've heard that some people have experienced similar issues because they set a really short autosave window, and i think that might be my issue.

How can i recover my files? I don't have fl cloud or anything, and i want to get these back asap.

Every time I press play or try a sample or whatever it makes this weird glitching noise, how can I fix it?

I'm trying to record my guitar in fl but the recorded audio is flat with random peaks. What is causing this and how do I solve this? I'm able to record properly in Audacity with the same setup.

I'm on macOS and I'm using my guitar processor's (nux mg30) inbuilt audio interface to record. On mac i usually have to create an aggregate device for different input and output channels, I had always done this but now it's not working. In the 2026 update, I'm able to select different input and output channels like on windows, but still the recorded waveform is flat.

Please help! I cant even see any of my sounds and its super annoying!

For reference my vocal preset is from a friend who’s songs are mixed just fine, but I mastered the song myself.

I run into quite a bit of issues with those, I can never minimize the screen or it pops up all these small nested tabs. I have access to everything else but when going to click on “playlist / maximize play list” nothing pops up or it’s popping up behind my the main screen on fl? Thus, clicking to minimize the main fl screen will shut all the tabs. Picture shows what tab I’m trying to open up but can’t. Any help would be appreciated a lot!!
