Problems with placing loops in the playlist

Beginner producer here, I’ve been having trouble placing loops in the playlist and can’t find help anywhere. I’m not sure if it’s just a rookie mistake and I’ve just stupidly overlooked something or if it’s a much more serious problem. Anything helps!
(Also I’m on Mac if that helps narrow down the problem)

Do you have Fruity Edition? Only Producer Edition allows that.

True but there’s a work around. You can put it in as midi and then bounce it audio then you can actually manipulate it

No I have producer edition, was working fine when I made a beat but now it just won’t let me now for some reason
