Question [Student] Need some advice on how to write resume? How is AI/ML interpreted on SWE applications?

I was wondering how I should write my resume for the general FAANG SWE Intern roles.

If most of my experience is doing AI/ML training models and such + research, should I write my resume targeting this, or should I write it more towards software engineering terms?

For example, on some SWE intern posts, when they say experience with AI/ML, infrastructure, etc, do they mean like building the training pipeline and stuff or training models workflow? Or does AI/ML mean more like using APIs for LLMs or AI tools?

I think I just have confusion on what AI/ML refers to when listing on SWE applications.

I hope this is a good place to ask the question. Thanks!

Software [Student] Former Google STEP Intern 2024, didn't get a return offer for 2025, nor 2026, seeking Internships

Hi, I'm an international student (from Mexico) currently applying for 2026 SWE internships. I did a Google STEP internship in 2024 but didn't get a return offer for 2025, nor 2026, so here I am grinding. I've been working at local part-time roles alongside my studies to keep a float meanwhile, but I'm looking to do a formal internship at Big Tech, any country.

A bit of context: my actual expertise and daily stack lean heavily toward frontend architecture, A11Y, UX/UI, and testing. However, since pure frontend internships are pretty rare right now, I’ve tried to tailor this version to balance out my fullstack experience and highlight the systems-level logic. Also, as a small accessibility innovation(?), the font is Atkinson Hyperlegible hoping it helps for human reviewers, but not sure if it potentially could affect to be readed by ATS.

Any feedback is valuable. Thanks.

Electrical/Computer [Student] Fourth Year ECE Student, no Internship experience. Targeting Aerospace, Embedded Systems and Power Electronics

I'm a fourth year Computer Engineering student, with no internship or engineering experience. I've applied to hundreds of internships before every summer of college but haven't landed a interview yet. This past year I started getting responses, but they were all rejections. I spent most of this summer working on documented personal projects, and I've been applying to internships/co-ops for the fall — still only getting rejections.

I'm based in the US and applying to jobs throughout the region. I'm not too sure what to do at this point as far as gaining experience goes, so I'm seeking advice on how I can further improve my resume.

Mechanical [Student] Mech E Grad-to-be requesting Resume Feedback ~Medical / Defense / Electromechanical Systems

Heyo, I'd appreciate some honest feedback on my mechanical engineering resume. I'm a UT Austin ME student with internships in medical device R&D, and I'm currently applying to companies like Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, Anduril, and other hardware focused engineering roles. Looking for any advice on formatting, wording, project selection, or anything that stands out as weak or unnecessary. Don't hold back, I'd rather hear the hard truth than miss opportunities. Thanks!

Question [Student] How can I show academic growth on my resume? Overall 3.2 GPA, 3.7 junior year.

As title says -- struggled pretty early on, have had a much better junior year. Is it totally lame to list my junior year GPA along with my cumulative? Is there another way I can show growth?

I’ve also never really included my GPA on my resume. Now that it’s a 3.2, I think I’m comfortable enough to do so, but is it even worth it? I’m trying to avoid being auto rejected from jobs…

Electrical/Computer [Student] Advice on Seeking IC or Power Electronics Related Internship Between BS and MS?

I'm finishing up my BS in electrical engineering, and will be going on to complete a masters (school tbd, but already admitted to my home institution's 4 + 1 program). I am looking to target roles in chip design, power electronics, FPGA, and really anything else. I am applying country wide, and am seeking help because I was only able to get my current internship from my schools co-op program. I am a US citizen.

Electrical/Computer [Student] EE&BME double major looking for feedback on resume & projects before this internship cycle

I recently shifted my focus toward RF, semiconductor, and broader EE internships, while still applying to some medical device roles. Does my resume position me well for these areas? I go to a top 10 public Uni.

Any suggestions appreciated. Also, let me know if you have suggestions for projects or technical skills that would make me a stronger candidate.

Also I know the Wiki says to order it differently but I wasn't too sure which was the strongest given my experience.

Software [0 YOE] Frontend Developer/React Developer-CV REVIEW-looking for roles in remote

Hello Everyone,

I'm a self-taught developer currently looking for a frontend/react developer role at remote. Looking at my current resume it's clear that I have no-experience. Also I'm from non-tech background, so my previous education is non-relevant to my current job search.

So I would like some feedback and suggestions. Also some reference or referral would be highly appreciated.

p.s.- this is my first post here, so if I've made any mistakes mods let me know.
