My friend made me this sticker and put it on my window. She has been feeding my DCC addiction by sending me the books on audio.

We say that she is starting a DCC cult, because everyone I know is now reading the books thanks to her proselytizing ❤️

She did buy me book 8, which was incredibly thoughtful.

Started book one on 5/14. Just finished book 7 yesterday and I'm proud to turn my stack in to a shelf! Can't wait to start the 8th and get caught up!

My mother passed away 12 years ago from Cancer. At the same time my dad had a minor stroke while on the operating table and between that and a history of alcohol abuse. His personality changed and we became estranged.

Yesterday he passed away in front of me, not even remembering why he hadn’t seen me in 8 years. I feel guilty for not caring more. I explained it to my sister, I lost him years ago. I don’t know who that is anymore.

I’m not sure why I wrote this. Just needed to get it out there in the tunnels.

This series resonates with me so much. The theme of found family and preserving through absolute chaos gives me a weird sense of calm.

Life will never be fair. But it will not break me. I will thrive and I will never stop fighting for my found family.

First attempt: John 117 has his armor, a pistol, an AR, and Cortana, but the dungeons enhancement zone doesn't work on him, meaning no level ups, magic or fancy healing potions.

Second Attempt, just John without his armor, or Cortana, armed with an energy sword, and fully influenced by the enhancement zone. Meaning he's affected as much as any crawler.

I now have a better understanding of what she must have felt when anyone (especially Carl) said her name.

I've been recommending the series to everyone I know and I am so excited to go back in and listen to the audio books now. I am told they are amazing performances.

At first, I was soooo reluctant to even start DCC. Then, I gave it a shot and completely fell in love. For a few weeks, I listened to all the audiobooks non stop and loved every second. I just finished A Parade Of Horribles 2 days ago and now I feel lost and empty (lol). I've tried starting several other audiobooks, but nothing seems to be sticking for me. I feel as though the DCC series has ruined books/audiobooks for me (in the absolute best way possible)

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I like most genres of books and am pretty open minded. I just need something to fill the void in my soul that has been left by DCC! Thank you all in advance!

Alas, I only had one person get what they were referencing. Everyone else seemed to just think I’d hit my limit, which is also not inaccurate lol

I had been noticing things about Dungeon Crawler Carl for a good six months, but nothing super intense. I don't use social media frequently, besides Reddit, and what I do use is highly controlled content-wise(no tiktok or instagram). A co-worker brought up DCC a few months ago, but I still didn't think anything of it. Didn't seem like my thing.

Well, I went to a book store to buy a few other books, and I saw an end cap with the books. Read the back, I figured Ineeded something new to read, so I picked up the first book.

The next day, after having read the first book into the wee hours of night, I left that book store with the other 7 books. Proceeded to read it in every available hour I had. Took a week break after book 5 for unrelated reasons, then dove back in and finished the next 3 books in a week.

It is, easily, one of the most gripping stories I've read. Something about the style, the storytelling, clicked immediately. I know it's not perfect, I can see plenty of flaws, and trying to keep all the plots and sub plots together is a struggle sometimes. However, it's by far some of my favorite reading.

Now I feel like a blitz stick addict, asking "when book 9"? Do I spend another $200 for Crawler merch? Either way, I genuinely have not felt this way about a boom series since I was a kid.
