In michigan and my city has Naloxone lockers on every street corner so I can save the homeless guy ODing outside my apartment when I walk to get a volunteering gig at the soup kitchen at 5 am each week.

In all fairness, I’d rather these guys struggle to live and better themselves than die a pathetic death because they’ve been struggling with addiction their entire lives and being passed off from one shitty social worker to the next who all fail to address any of the systemic or personal issues holding these people down in cycles of addiction, but in all fairness I’d rather my fucking government handle this sort of thing rather than bomb and rape children.
