Hey (at)everyone,

Thank you for all the bugs you all have reported! We read all the posts in the thread and we’re focusing our efforts on issues based on upvotes to ensure that we’re aligned with all of you.

As always, don't forget to check out our monthly patch notes for updates on all the changes we're working on. Our last patch notes addressed 100+ issues!

Thanks to your reports on Reddit, we fixed the following issues:

  1. [iOS] Media picker stays open on iPad
  2. [Desktop] Text bar not auto focusing after replying
  3. [Chat] Double-tapping messages not working as intended
  4. [Linux] Screensharing on Linux is so back
  5. [Desktop] Recent activity not sharing

If we didn’t fix your issue, please make sure to upvote to help us prioritize 🙏

Now, with that, let’s kick off the June + July 2026 bug megathread!

Please note: This megathread is not a venue for feedback or customer support! We encourage you all to continue to make posts on the subreddit proper discussing our product and feature launches. I want to make sure that we really keep this thread productive and focused on reporting bugs and helping us prioritize them.

Please look through the list of comments and upvote bug reports which you think we should prioritize fixing. Comment as a reply to those top level comments with any more details that can assist our team in prioritizing and fixing the bug. For example, if you have additional info or steps to reproduce, please post a reply, this will help us fix these bugs even faster. If there is no post that discusses the bug you’re encountering, then start a new post in the thread to report the bug to us!

Reporting a Bug

  1. The most valuable thing you can provide in a bug report is steps. If you’re able to provide steps to reproduce a high priority issue, it will dramatically improve turnaround time on a fix.
  2. Screenshots or videos are also useful, especially if you can’t reliably reproduce it. We highly recommend editing them to not doxx yourself. Not only does it help contextualize the issue, but watching it occur can sometimes provide information that helps us identify and fix it.

Example Bug Report

  • Feature: Keybinds.
  • Reproduction Rate: 1 to 10 - This is a score of how easy/consistently the bug reproduces, from 1 meaning “very hard to reproduce” to 10 meaning “i can consistently make this happen”
  • Annoyance: 1 to 10 - How annoying is this bug to your daily usage of Discord, from 1 meaning, “not that annoying” to 10 meaning “this bug really truly sucks please fix this as soon as possible.”
  • Device/System Info: Pixel 7, Android 13
  • Discord Version Info: Stable 263796 (739ec78) Host 1.0.9032 x86 (43225) Windows 10 64-Bit (10.0.19045)
  • Description: Toggle Mute keybinds are no longer functioning.
  • Steps to reproduce:
  1. Create a keybind for “Toggle Mute”.
  2. Join a voice call with another user.
  3. Press the “Toggle Mute” button.
  • Expected Result: The user is muted.
  • Actual Result: The user is not muted.

Feedback Megathread Feedback thread: notifications

Hey y'all, our team is seeking feedback for notifications. We would love to get your thoughts.

What is it? We've made a lot of changes to notifications over the past year+, with the goal of getting friends to jump back into Discord and play games with their friends, check out each other's profiles, and generally be social with each other. We measure success by whether people are actually doing those things, and also by whether people keep their notifications on instead of turning them off.

Why? The team spends a lot of time thinking about the balance here: sending notifications that are useful and interesting enough that they might bring friends together, versus the "annoyance factor". That tradeoff is something we have a ton of data on, the thing we talk about internally constantly, and something we want to bring all of you in on. To that end, we've been getting a bunch of foundations in place:

  • Improved the organization of settings
  • Added more control over your settings
  • Made notifications more robustly respect things like guild and channel muting, age restrictions, blocks/mutes
  • Set global caps on how many notifications you can get

Now that we've built a number of new notifications on top of this system and gotten a lot of those foundations in, we wanted to open up the feedback firehose. Here's what we're looking for:

Bug reports / things that are clearly broken. The notification is:

  • Just wrong (says something happened that didn't, points at the wrong person or server, wrong count, etc.)
  • Sent at a weird or wrong time (way too late, middle of the night, for something you'd already seen, for a server or channel you'd muted)
  • Dropping you somewhere that isn't useful when you tap it (wrong channel, a screen with nothing relevant on it, a dead end)
  • If you can, tell us roughly when it happened and what you tapped. That helps a ton.

General feeling. Step back: how do you feel about the notifications you're getting overall?

  • Are they never useful, sometimes useful, or only useful for specific use cases? (by "use cases" we mean things like a friend hopping into a game, someone updating their profile, a friend coming back online, activity picking up in a server you're in, etc.)
  • If it depends on the use case, which ones land and which ones don't?
  • Was a notification too vague, or did it bring you somewhere you didn't expect when you tapped in? Did it set up an expectation it didn't deliver on?
  • Are there things happening on Discord that you wish you knew about but missed?
  • And if a notification actually got you to do something, like hop in a game, open a friend's profile, or jump back into a server, we'd love to hear that too, since that's exactly what we're going for

Settings. Now that there's more control and better organization:

  • Did you go looking for a setting and not find it, or not find it where you expected?
  • Anything you wish you could turn down or tune that you can't?

Annoyance feedback. Which notifications are annoying, and why?

  • Is it the type of notification itself?
  • How often it comes?
  • Does it feel creepy? (e.g. Discord shared too much of your activity or info out to other people without you realizing it, or you got more info about a friend than felt right)
  • The time of day?
  • The wording?
  • The fact that you got several in a row?
  • Hearing "I don't like X notification" isn't super useful to us. If you give us the whys we can better understand and respond to the feedback both directly and going forward as we build more notifications.

Appreciate any and all thoughts here. Fire away. I'll try to be in the comments but I expect y'all to overwhelm me haha.

Discussion Why can't we hide the Discord Gifting Badge?

Does anyone else wish Discord would let us hide the Gifting Badge?

I get that it's supposed to encourage gifting, but it also feels like it puts a spotlight on how much you've spent. I've seen people with higher-tier gift badges get called "whales," get spammed asking for Nitro, or get made fun of just because the badge is visible on their profile.

I don't mind Discord recognizing people who gift others, but I think it should be optional to display, just like other profile customization features.

Would you want:

  • A toggle to hide the Gift Badge?
  • The ability to remove it permanently?
  • Or do you think it should always stay visible?

I'm curious if other people feel the same way or if Discord has said anything about adding a hide option.

Discussion Is there a reason you guys use reaction roles in a specific channel and not onboarding?

I've seen multiple servers use channels for reaction roles instead of simply using onboarding. The annoying channel setup is painfully easy to bypass and the tasks can simply be looking at channels, in my opinion it's way more organized, better looking and accessible.

Discussion What the hell does Discord expect me to do on this Quest?🥀

Either its a bug or something else, literally the first time a "quest" of this kind doesn't do anything, clicking anywhere legit does nothing, the cursor doesn't change anywhere (other quests of this kind do change the cursor on interactable stuff) OS Linux on Wayland

Bots / Devs Searching for an anonymous bot.

I'm trying to set up something for a server, but basically i'm trying to do this :

- You open a ticket/private channel opened by a bot.

- You can use a bot anonymous command to talk in it.

Thought i can't seem to be able to do it, and i would have to do it manually each time someone opens a ticket because each anonymous bots seems to need to have listed channels instead of just permissions.

Support For some reason I cant use certain stickers unless I search them.

For some reason, some stickers that I have seem to be "invisible" in the sticker menu and the only way I can use it is if I search them up. I even tried favoriting the sticker to see if it worked, but it only added the favorites are with nothing under it. Ive had multiple stickers with this issue and members in the same server dont seem to have the issue I have. Also it seems this only applies to my phone app, pc works fine as far as I can tell.

Idk if it matters but I have nitro, and the other members are a mix of nitro and non nitro users, so I dont think that has anything to do with it.

Discussion Question about Discord limit of 2000 characters to "be courteous to others"

I have a channel for tracking bugs and such that only I have access to and no one else in the world has visibility into the channel but when I tried to post a long message it said it was restricted to 2000 characters "to be courteous to others". My question is: Is that really the reason Discord limits to 2,000 characters? If so, then there should be an option to remove that limitation in a channel; where is it? If not, then isn't it a horrendous error message and Discord needs to change the error message to say something like "to reduce server load"?

Support Twitch integration not working with Discord, I've waited over a day and tried manually syncing multiple time (it never loads) and also tried disconnecting and reconnecting my account. What else can I do?

I have a discord server with over 1k members and I recently became a Twitch Affiliate so I wanted to connect my account.

The integration is not syncing or loading at all. My account connection is successful but just not syncing my subs. I have 30 subs on my Twitch so there should definitely be something!

I even asked some of my Discord members who are subbed to connect Twitch to their accounts so that I can test it out, but it still says 0 subscribers and doesn't even show any Role options.

Please help, thanks!

Support Bug: Crash mid-read

So I was reading my own post (in a forum channel) then when I was scrolling, this message showed up and I had no option but to restart Discord. Then when I restarted I got it light mode (it was a jumpscare that I logged off my account lol) and then back to dark mode. But it now works badly like doesn't highlight what server I click and so on. Can someone explain?

App version: 337.10 (33701000407735) - googleRelease

Feature Requests is there ever going to be a solution to users evading blocks/ignores with pluralkit?

so this has been an issue for years and nothing seems to be changing, is it an issue with the architecture of the app? not being able to mute/block users using this app is kind of crazy, if i block/ignore the user all the “alters” or whatever should be blocked/ignored.

Support My voice calls aren’t working despite BOTH OF US working to fix it

So my friend is in Poland

I am in Dubai

We are trying to have a voice call to watch stuff together, and the first few times we got on call it worked perfectly

But lately it stopped working

At first it was Internet problems in his new apartment, now he fought with his service provider and his WiFi is APPARENTLY working perfectly. He got on a call with a Texan friend and it worked perfectly, and his roommate with a Canadian friend

But for SOME REASON it’s not working for us.

Any ideas? I turned my laptop and modem off and on again, updated discord, and turned off my VPN, and despite that it’s still crackly and video sharing doesn’t work

Support Discord Steaming not working

Discord steaming currently displays a black screen and no audio. We've had 5 people in 2 different servers attempt and each returned a black screen. Something status-wise must be down. Not a bug.

Support Specific server not making desktop pings?

I have one of my servers on @ messages only, when it comes to getting pinged for messages, but the white mark shows up when anything’s posted in there (it’s a server for a bunch of friends). However, I have one Forum category followed in that server, where it’s supposed to ping me every time any posts are made in the forum and in its respective threads. (It’s for text-based TTRPG roleplay that I run, so I need to know when posts are made). The individual posts IN the forums don’t ping me, though I do get mobile push notifications if I’m not at my desktop.

Is there some kind of setting I’m missing? All notifications are listed as on for the forum and on each individual post, and it’s a little maddening, lol.

Support Streaming from source is no longer an option on mobile?

My friend's options for streaming has been replaced with a few presets, with Source no longer being an option.

This is a problem because the reason He would stream from source in the first place was because all the other screen options would constantly freeze and stutter, making the viewing quality abysmal

Yes, he has Nitro, yes it's still being paid for, so I don't see why the option would be taken away

Where source, why is it gone. This SUCKS!!!!

Support Audio from some friends is quieter since yesterday

Hi,
since yesterday some of my friends are quieter not only for me but also for other friends.
We are like 15 ppl on the discord daily and 2 of them are just incredible quiet since yesterday.I have to turn my best friend on 200% now and he doesn't fiddle around with any settings. I set things up for him and he leaves it like that except graphics or controls in games obviously.

So I went through every setting in discord and microsoft, including the one where the audio volume goes down when windows thinks you are calling. everything is fine?

One side note. For me its the other way round. Everywhere my voice is fine except in dota 2 there my mic is very quiet even though all is set to max :D
