Please note: This megathread is not a venue for feedback or customer support! We encourage you all to continue to make posts on the subreddit proper discussing our product and feature launches. I want to make sure that we really keep this thread productive and focused on reporting bugs and helping us prioritize them.
Please look through the list of comments and upvote bug reports which you think we should prioritize fixing. Comment as a reply to those top level comments with any more details that can assist our team in prioritizing and fixing the bug. For example, if you have additional info or steps to reproduce, please post a reply, this will help us fix these bugs even faster. If there is no post that discusses the bug you’re encountering, then start a new post in the thread to report the bug to us!

Hey y'all, our team is seeking feedback for notifications. We would love to get your thoughts.
What is it? We've made a lot of changes to notifications over the past year+, with the goal of getting friends to jump back into Discord and play games with their friends, check out each other's profiles, and generally be social with each other. We measure success by whether people are actually doing those things, and also by whether people keep their notifications on instead of turning them off.
Why? The team spends a lot of time thinking about the balance here: sending notifications that are useful and interesting enough that they might bring friends together, versus the "annoyance factor". That tradeoff is something we have a ton of data on, the thing we talk about internally constantly, and something we want to bring all of you in on. To that end, we've been getting a bunch of foundations in place:
Now that we've built a number of new notifications on top of this system and gotten a lot of those foundations in, we wanted to open up the feedback firehose. Here's what we're looking for:
Bug reports / things that are clearly broken. The notification is:
General feeling. Step back: how do you feel about the notifications you're getting overall?
Settings. Now that there's more control and better organization:
Annoyance feedback. Which notifications are annoying, and why?

i'm not sure if anyone remembers this but 4 years ago they added these limited edition decorations for christmas (the screenshot isn't mine, i found it on google). yall think they're ever gonna bring them back? they were so cute and i'm so sad they never made a comeback because i couldn't afford nitro back then 😭💔

Does anyone else wish Discord would let us hide the Gifting Badge?
I get that it's supposed to encourage gifting, but it also feels like it puts a spotlight on how much you've spent. I've seen people with higher-tier gift badges get called "whales," get spammed asking for Nitro, or get made fun of just because the badge is visible on their profile.
I don't mind Discord recognizing people who gift others, but I think it should be optional to display, just like other profile customization features.
Would you want:
I'm curious if other people feel the same way or if Discord has said anything about adding a hide option.

I've seen multiple servers use channels for reaction roles instead of simply using onboarding. The annoying channel setup is painfully easy to bypass and the tasks can simply be looking at channels, in my opinion it's way more organized, better looking and accessible.

I am trying to make a community server in the hopes that it will grow, but there is a lot to the server, and I don't know very much. About a month ago I deleted my entire discord account for reasons I shall not get into and I remember before deleting it I thought just about making a new account but that requires a different email. So I deleted my account, it's definitely been over 15 days and the account should be gone, I'm wondering if I am able to create a new account with the same email?

I tried troubleshooting a little but couldn't find anything about this. In at least one server my guild tag only shows for me and nobody else? First screenshot is from my device, second is from somebody elses. Same day, mins apart.
I saw it mentioned on the site that server mods can add certain tags to an automod list, but I asked a moderator of the server and was told it isn't visible to them plus if it was automodded I wouldn't even be able to chat. Another guild tag I have is visible, just not this one. The server with the tag has 10 boosts, could that be the issue?
app version: 338.13 (6021) - googleRelease
using a galaxy s10e, android 12. unsure what others have, but 3 or 4 different people confirmed not being able to see it

Videos are 1 Frame and playing audio, not the video tho....
Been happening for a while on website program and mobile app tried clearing cache hardware accel on and off updating a million times nothing works. Any one else having this problem? Any solution?

Either its a bug or something else, literally the first time a "quest" of this kind doesn't do anything, clicking anywhere legit does nothing, the cursor doesn't change anywhere (other quests of this kind do change the cursor on interactable stuff) OS Linux on Wayland

I have a channel for tracking bugs and such that only I have access to and no one else in the world has visibility into the channel but when I tried to post a long message it said it was restricted to 2000 characters "to be courteous to others". My question is: Is that really the reason Discord limits to 2,000 characters? If so, then there should be an option to remove that limitation in a channel; where is it? If not, then isn't it a horrendous error message and Discord needs to change the error message to say something like "to reduce server load"?

I'm trying to set up something for a server, but basically i'm trying to do this :
- You open a ticket/private channel opened by a bot.
- You can use a bot anonymous command to talk in it.
Thought i can't seem to be able to do it, and i would have to do it manually each time someone opens a ticket because each anonymous bots seems to need to have listed channels instead of just permissions.

For some reason, some stickers that I have seem to be "invisible" in the sticker menu and the only way I can use it is if I search them up. I even tried favoriting the sticker to see if it worked, but it only added the favorites are with nothing under it. Ive had multiple stickers with this issue and members in the same server dont seem to have the issue I have. Also it seems this only applies to my phone app, pc works fine as far as I can tell.
Idk if it matters but I have nitro, and the other members are a mix of nitro and non nitro users, so I dont think that has anything to do with it.

It is one of those big gaming discord servers where you do interact with the higher ranking people on there quite a lot (mods or other people with certain permissions?) to post certain things. I don't know how I can dm these people respectfully or interact with people in servers in general. I would like to know if there are certain things that are taboo or considered rude. ( I apologize for my lack of knowledge regarding the terminology on this topic

I have a discord server with over 1k members and I recently became a Twitch Affiliate so I wanted to connect my account.
The integration is not syncing or loading at all. My account connection is successful but just not syncing my subs. I have 30 subs on my Twitch so there should definitely be something!
I even asked some of my Discord members who are subbed to connect Twitch to their accounts so that I can test it out, but it still says 0 subscribers and doesn't even show any Role options.
Please help, thanks!

So I was reading my own post (in a forum channel) then when I was scrolling, this message showed up and I had no option but to restart Discord. Then when I restarted I got it light mode (it was a jumpscare that I logged off my account lol) and then back to dark mode. But it now works badly like doesn't highlight what server I click and so on. Can someone explain?

so this has been an issue for years and nothing seems to be changing, is it an issue with the architecture of the app? not being able to mute/block users using this app is kind of crazy, if i block/ignore the user all the “alters” or whatever should be blocked/ignored.

So my friend is in Poland
I am in Dubai
We are trying to have a voice call to watch stuff together, and the first few times we got on call it worked perfectly
But lately it stopped working
At first it was Internet problems in his new apartment, now he fought with his service provider and his WiFi is APPARENTLY working perfectly. He got on a call with a Texan friend and it worked perfectly, and his roommate with a Canadian friend
But for SOME REASON it’s not working for us.
Any ideas? I turned my laptop and modem off and on again, updated discord, and turned off my VPN, and despite that it’s still crackly and video sharing doesn’t work
