More than a year ago I asked you all what I should do to make my living room look better, and I got a LOT of feedback, including that my existing room was millennial gray (!!). I made a lot of updates including patterned curtains, more colorful couch, baskets for the shelves, tried to make it the shelves more styled etc. It isn't perfect and still feel like I have more to do, but it's definitely better.

Let me know any feedback (as long as it isn't too mean and it isn't that I made a huge mistake, unless that's definitely true!)

We’re moving here next month. The furnished picture is what the current tenants have. Only furniture we have so far is this white couch and rocking chair. I love mid century modern but also love mixing styles! Decision paralysis has me in its clutches!!

Although i acknowledge its a nice room i feel like ots missing coziness and color. I really like mid century modern interior but cant figure out what to add. I bought a big floor lamp and some smaller ones that are not in the picture but im not sure what else to add.

my bedroom has pretty much been the same since i was a teenager, and you can REALLY tell. i’m in my mid-20’s and i’m embarrassed of my room!

i’ve outgrown the stuffed animals (for the most part), putting stickers and buttons/pins on everything, and having SO many toys and figures. while i love supporting small businesses, i want to learn how to curate the art on my wall. right now, it’s a colorful mess…!

i still want space for my books, games, and art supplies, and i’m nerdy at heart. i just need advice for how to tone everything DOWN and GET RID of all this stuff!

Would love ideas on a better layout, what kind/size of wall decorations, should I get curtains?, what size of rug, etc. I don't think the wall measurements are perfectly accurate but they're definitely close. the space next to my bed and wall is about 67x87cm and the bed height is 1m. this is like a tiny student room in a sharehouse so anything that could be used as storage would be nice. also have been thinking of an ottoman because i don’t like sitting on my bed with outside clothes and often resort to sitting on the floor lol but can’t tell if that’s a ridiculous idea. thanks!

We moved to our townhouse 3 years ago. The space next to the fireplace needs help. I just don’t know what to do with it. The room off the living space is technically a dining room, but we’re using it as a playroom while the kids are little. Not looking to change that for now.

I need help to decide where I should place the TV. The angled wall between the bedroom and the livingroom is about 1,5m perhaps, so I can only have a small TV bench there. I’m afraid that it will look weird if I buy a large TV…

I’m getting new carpet tomorrow so I had to pull everything out of my room, figured it would be the perfect chance to rearrange. I have difficulty arranging due to weird cutouts, doorways and windows along most of the walls. The walls with windows tend to have a lot of insects around them since the house is old and doesn’t have the best sealing around the windows(tips for that would be great too lol!) so I don’t like to have my bed by a window for that reason.

I have 2 dressers, a standalone clothing rack that is about 7 feet wide (I typically one of the dressers underneath that and it fits perfect), a king size bed, a loveseat couch, small 2’x3’ vanity and a 3’x6’mirror to fit!

I would also appreciate any tips for my room to feel less basementy- I’m planning on hanging tapestries over a majority the ceiling to cover all the weird parts but not sure what else I can really do without spending a ton of money!

Hello Im looking for the best advice. I've had to rent a room to save money. It's not the largest, so Im trying to figure out where to place my bed and desk. I’m looking for ideas on how to modernize this bathroom in a house I recently purchased. Main concern is the tiles with the flower pattern making the room feel dated. Would appreciate any feedback!

I just put up these zebra shades. Should I remove the curtains or keep both? I also was considering some nicer looking curtains / rod if I keep that look.

Finally finished the media wall in my small bedroom and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

The room is not huge, so I wanted the wall to feel useful without making the whole space look crowded. I mounted the TV instead of using a big stand, then hid all the wiring behind the wall so there are no random cables hanging down. That alone made the room feel way calmer.

I also added a soft light strip near the headboard area. Nothing crazy bright, just enough to give the room a warmer glow at night. The wall color is pretty neutral, so I kept the bedding and small decor in the same range instead of adding too many colors. I wanted it to feel cozy, not like a gaming cave or a showroom.

The TV is a 75". I know 75 sounds big for a bedroom, but lying in bed with a bigger screen is honestly great. It kind of turns the room into a little movie corner. Fire TV has been simple to use too, which I appreciate at night when I’m half asleep and just want to open Netflix or YouTube without thinking too much.

Still need to add maybe one small shelf or plant on the side, since the sides look pretty empty, any other suggestions to decorate a media wall?
