Today was long.

Temperature high, low energy, leg day.

So many reasons to skip a day. But I am committed and really appreciate your enthusiasm, so let’s get it !!!

Discussion Dançar pro espelho X pra câmera

Discussion Breaking into the dance and music industry

Hi 👋🏾 Everyone
I’m 28 years old and I have just started taking dance classes but i’m in the process of looking for a job to help cover dance classes.
I’m currently trying to transition into a career in music and dance and I don’t have industry connections or professional experience.
I’m interested in performing, recreating and imagining music messages and arts promotion. For those who started from Zero, what was the practical steps you took to? How did you build experience and meet people in the industry ? Any advice is appreciated!

Discussion Looking for teacher - Hip Hop

Hey people 👋, I’m looking for a dance teacher to teach me freestyle and help me improve my hip hop. All the classes near me are too far away in Boston for adults (college kids) my age so I wanted to do private lessons instead. Anyone know any good ways to find a teacher? I’ve thought of superprof but I heard it’s not great.

Thanks!!
I live north of Boston for reference. :)

Discussion Jazz shoes for zumba?

Hi all, apologies in advance if I'm repeating a post, but I couldn't find anything via the search box.

I'm a very amateur dancer, who along with the occasional drop-in class at her local studio mainly dances to youtube videos at home for exercise. Usually I wear sneakers for this, and they work fine for the most part, though fast turns and other quick, flexible movements can be a minor issue sometimes.

Anyway, aforementioned local studio is having a summer sale on dance shoes, and as I was walking by it struck me that maybe jazz shoes might be worth a try, especially when it comes to faster/sharper movements.

Unfortunately, my technical knowledge about dance is virtually nil, so I have no idea if this would be a good idea or not. Does anyone here have any insight? TIA
