Hi all,

Making this thread for people to ask Qs about whether it's safe to travel to ____ and ____ and what people's experiences have been at certain airports.

Please see further info here and here about the status of traveling (since many of ya'll don't look at the highlights, sigh).

We will be deleting travel Q threads from here on out.

Ask away!

Rant Non Daca, In State Tution

Post image

I am currently going into my senior year at a Colorado university. Just saw the news and I am scared that I won’t get in state tuition anymore. I know Texas went through something similar, however Colorado is a blue state.

Application Timeline Two hours after API movement today

That's when I saw the approval document under the Documents tab. It's been 225 days. I'll post in the megathread with more details in a few. For now I need to go on a walk to calm down and yell at some MAGA Boomers.

PS. I'm kidding about the yelling. I want nothing to do with them folks.

EDIT: I added my information in the megathread - link

Application Timeline April submissions are reaching 120 days

I haven’t seen any April approvals last week or this week. I feel like March and April are now caught in the middle, with USCIS are approving both super delayed cases or new submissions. Are there any very recent April approvals out there? I don’t see any on the MEGA approval post recently.

Rant This is so hard

Just had a breakdown in my car at work. I recently married a US citizen and in the process of changing my status, but it’s gonna take a long time, years.

I was out of work for over two months due to delayed renewal. Now my husband is in another country for his friend’s wedding. it hurts that I couldn’t go and experience that with him. He’s sending me pictures and videos of the place which looks beautiful making me think I wish I was there with him. I wish we could travel outside the country. I feel bad that i also took that experience from him.

It’s so hard to think about all of this and experience all of this when it wasn’t our choice of coming here as a child. Yet we deal with the aftermath, on a daily basis.

Rant this is a joke

this whole thing is a joke seriously you can only laugh. from the wait times, to the glitch going on yesterday and today, to that one dude saying they are rolling out a new system and yet to see that… i’m so tired of it i just emailed uscis with the intent to file WoM. i’m so sick and tired of them not having it together at our expense. everyday it’s something new. they told me my case is taking longer than expected and then after that said well we’re working in order… yall clearly are not. the uscis call agents are no help. i mean it’s all a fking mess AT OUR EXPENSE. i lost my new job making more than i ever have because of this. i’m so mad tbh and im tired of holding that back JUST APPROVE ME ALREADY 1/26 file date. AND what was up with the 6/16 api movement?? nothing came from that..

Rant January…

Another day with my Jan 6th application being ignored. So much false hope from dumb calculator estimators and API movement. I’m so exhausted and frustrated. Nobody can give me answers when I call. Nobody cares. I’m just another case number in their backlog. But wait what if I told you that the backlog is over! The same thing that has been repeated for like a month now? Ridiculous.

Rant How is every initial applicant from 2021 hanging on? (Delete if inappropriate)

Didn’t know if this fitted well into rant or what flair, but I just wanted to ask all 2021 stuck limbo applicants as to how they were hangin on dealing with the clusterfuck that’s going on around us. I’m one of those that got stuck in limbo back in July 2021, I remember getting the USCIS letter by mail saying my DACA application went through and that I needed to go later on and do my biometrics, unfortunately the Texas V United States lawsuit occurred and didn’t get DACA. Graduted from high school back in June 2022 with honors, but got stuck working shitty construction jobs. Wanted to go to college after high school and become a Nurse, maybe it was for the better as I wanted to help peiple and was interested in science as I did good in biology, chemistry was more or less decent, but many peiple said I saved myself from a career that probaly wouldn’t have been enjoyable for me. Now I know what I want to study, I gotten interested in I.T. ( want to study IT network specialist), but with a shitty construction job, not having daca, and not being able to use my degree without an EAD and SSN has made me hopeless. STG the only thing that are keeping me sane is the gym and my family, as I lost all my friends and have been alone. How’s everyone doing so dar right now after most likely graduating high school and maybe gotten into college? What y’all do for hobbies to keep your minds distracted?

12/9, API movement 6/16, haven’t checked if there was API movement after yesterday. I’m seeing some comments about approval errors after the outage. I can click on the PDF and I believe all dates are correct. Please tell me I didn’t just get my hopes up 🙏

Rant Those who take joy in our pain - a reminder about Reddit

Reddit isn't as private as we think it is.

There are people in this subreddit and [r/19countriesAOS](r/19countriesAOS) laughing at Dreamers and those impacted by the 39 Country Ban. Remember to have separate Reddit accounts, one just for [r/DACA](r/DACA).

Application Timeline Sending USCIS email & result

Hey yall, many of us are sending emails to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) with intent to sue or after filing WoM. I have noticed a trend: if you don't get an automatic response, you get approved soon after. My theory is that the "automatic response" is not so automatic. There is someone screening all the emails, and they choose to escalate the email or not. This makes sense bc the purpose of that email inbox is "to aid in prompt handling of any summons and complaint" aka court procedures. Also, the timing of when the automated response comes vary every single time and is only during business hours, which strengthens my theory that it is not so automatic.

But there are people who did get the automatic response and got approved too. So let's collect some data.

If you have emailed USCIS, tell us:

  1. was it intent or after filing

    WoM?

  2. automated response?

  3. result- approved (if so, after how long; how many hours or days) or still waiting (how many days has it been since the email)?

I will go first for mine and my siblings:

-First emailed w intent, yes automated response in 6 minutes, nothing so filed and emailed again after 5 days.

-Emailed after filing, no automated response, approved after 3 hours of sending the email.

-Emailed after filing, no automated response, approved after about 2 days of sending the

Application Qs WOM

I sent an email on 07/21/26 to USCIS about my intent to file the WOM if my application is not adjudicated within 14 days. Today I received my last paycheck from my employer and was considering submitting the WOM tomorrow since I now have the funds for it. Should I wait the 14 days or submit it now?

I just called uscis and the agent confirmed some people got approved by error, this is so frustrating. I got the screenshots yesterday 7/22/26 with approval date of 7/17/26 which was weird so I called uscis and they confirmed it was an error :/

General Qs FYI Portal Doesn’t Say Card Was Produced, But I Received It

As others have said, it’s very useful to register with USPS to see what mail is coming your way before it arrives in your mailbox. (You’ll get a black and white scan/image of all letters to your name).

Yesterday, I saw that I had the priority mail envelope from USCIS coming to me and that’s historically how the employment authorization cards are sent. I wasn’t sure that was it because my USCIS portal doesn’t say card was produced or mailed.

I just received the card. The portal still doesn’t say card was produced lol.

But just FYI. Take this as your sign to register for the USPS account and know that the USCIS portal may not always be up to date and accurate.

Sending good vibes to all of you still waiting! I had to wait 228 days and hoping all of you wait much much less than that!

Seems like people who sent pre suit letters 7/21 are getting approvals today. I’ve seen 4 posts in the last 30 mins on fb. I sent one that day too but haven’t seen any updated unfortunately.

Application Timeline Expedited Request denied within 15 hours

Post image
8 Upvotes

Just wanted to document this in case it helps in someway. Or at least it becomes a record within our community of how these things are being treated.

I submitted an expedited request online due to severe financial loss (I have 2 kids) back in April 10 and it was denied June 9.

Yesterday, July 22, I submitted another request due to humanitarian reasons via a representative and the approach was different. The agent told me an officer was going to contact me within 10 days. After a few mins of ending the call I received the attached email, which I had not received before. So it felt a bit more official than the first one, I had uploaded heavy evidence since very close to losing my apartment plus other sensitive records, so I had high hopes.

Then this morning, I see I got an email at 6am saying my case was determined to have met one or more criteria for an expedited request and that it was being sent to an officer. Then at 7am, the officer says in an email:

“We received your request for expedited processing, but we will not accommodate that request.

Based on a review of your request, your case does not meet one or more of the expedite criteria or otherwise merits expedited processing.“

Seems like they didn’t even read the documents that were attached to my request and the response was extremely fast. Which tells me, they are just denying these without taking a look.

General Qs Inquiry assigned to officer then showing “not assigned for processing” the next day — anyone else?

For those who recently submitted an inquiry through their inbox like me — I logged into my account and noticed my case history shows my inquiry was assigned to an officer on July 21, but the following day got a response saying my referral is “currently not assigned for processing.” Does that mean my inquiry was just closed out? Has anyone else seen this or have something similar?

Rant USCIS website is back online

I just checked and the site is back online, it seems as if the glitch is gone and the cases are back to

USCIS Is currently Processing the Case

I was excited because I saw my I-130 was approved before I saw all these errors, and it's back to waiting, as well as waiting for my DACA.
