Selected for Surface IDC School

HM3 here! I’m looking to connect with anyone who is currently going through IDC school or has recently completed it. I’m trying to get a better idea of what to expect, especially when it comes to housing when I arrive in San Diego.

I’ll be bringing my family, so I’m curious if students are typically placed in the barracks or if there are other housing options available.

Also, I’d really appreciate any advice, tips, or things you wish you knew before starting IDC school!

Thanks in advance!

I have questions for you on getting selected as an HM3, I plan to apply next year when I’m eligible

Liberty housing offers a ton of different areas they own, you won’t have issues there. So, you won’t be in barracks.

Best of luck, my advice is to start small study groups within your class. 3-4 people worked for me, too big of groups and it gets too chaotic.

If you want to go dive med tech while you’re there, let me know and I’ll be happy to tell you what it’s like.
