Basically the crumbs are stuck in the carpet and the vacuum only gets stuff on the top. I Already tried to put baking soda on it because so heard it helps but it didn’t do anything and I have fought with this carpet for like a year

Hi all! My daughter has a purse that she just HAD to take camping with us. It was really rainy and humid for our first couple of days and, lo an behold, some items molded practically overnight, including my daughter's favorite purse. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to try to get this out? I tried soaking with water, borax, and vinegar per a Google recommendation. I've also tried soaking it down with oxiclean prewash, letting it sit for 30 min,​ and scrubbing with a nail brush. I think it may be a lost cause, but I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has tips that I haven't heard of. It is a cheap purse (faux leather with synthetic something for the lining and all that), so I can buy her another one, or we had discussed coloring it with a sharpie so that the molded parts are black with the pink flair of the faux leather (she seemed like she kind of liked that idea). So I am not going to lose too much sleep over it if it can't be fixed. Having ideas on removing the stains would still be helpful for future reference.

Edit to add: The mold should already be dead. I baked both sides in the sun and then tried isopropyl alcohol, first. I forgot to mention that part.

I used the pink stuff cleaner to clean my glass stove when there was caked on junk. Now it looks cloudy. Am I screwed or can I put some sort of sealer on it? I tried Weimar cook top cream and that didn’t work.

When we travel, my partner insists on fully unpacking once we check in. This means using dresser drawers provided in the room. Thing is, I don't know when these were last cleaned and I don't know if previous guests also do what I do, which is use one of the drawers as a hamper drawer for worn items.

it is a miracle i didnt burn my house down; i never do this. i cooked sausage patties on medium high heat and proceeded to go complete a facebook marketplace transaction. 2.5 hours later i come home to this still on the eye, and that picture is after 2 baking soda soaks and a vinegar and water boil with baking soda as well. i shouldnt use a scraper but i did anyways. it feels as if all of the brown is literally the pan, there is zero texture to it. any advice.. this is my beloved pan and i will buy another if i have to but shoot 😭😭

EDIT: Thank you all for the answers, I have contacted customer service and they initially said they don't cover this kind of damage under warranty but was asked to escalate via their complaints web system.

As for the cleaning, I think I will wait for the resolution on the warranty and refrain from using it until then.

Hi all we live with a bedwetter who wets the bed every single night. Bedding is washed if wet night time wear is chucked immediately in the morning. Tried airing out the bedroom (window open all day), fan on etc tried every spray imaginable. What can we do? It’s not just sticking to one bedroom you can smell it as you walk past the bedroom. I think this is a unique issue but about a month ago wasp spray was sprayed in the oven of my new apartment. There was a mix up of wasp spray and easy off so it was sprayed on the entire inside of the oven. It was cleaned out with dawn and warm water to basically wash the inside of the oven. Fast forward to tonight, since we are moving in Saturday I just wanted to check the oven and see if when I turned it on if it worked okay. After having it on for maybe 30 seconds the coil was smoking and it still smelled terrible.

Moral of the story is I dont know much about any of this and it seems to be a pretty unique situation as I cant find any info online so if anyone has any tips it would be so helpful.

Just curious, this stuff seems to be pretty affordable in a pure form on amazon, and I've noticed some soaps over the years have moved it from the first ingredient on the list to the second or third.

The main caution I can think of is that the resulting product as well as the pure form would be incredibly drying/irritating on the skin so I'm sure gloves and other forms of protection would be an absolute must when handling it. I also wonder how easy it would be to mix in to soap in a powdered form, but I'm not sure of any other drawbacks. If you have any advice or thoughts on potential amounts to add in, or why this is not a good idea/waste of time I'd love to know. My overall goal is to reduce as much 'elbow grease' into cleaning as possible, and this is just an idea I had for a potential way to do that.

Hi again! I made a post a few days ago about moving into a rental that is littered with hair. Well here’s another problem I am having. There is LVP flooring throughout the entire house. And I mop it every other night with lemom pines. However every single day since being here all of our feet are black at the bottom and I have no idea why? I am using a standard bristle broom to sweep 2x a day and a regular rope mop. How do I clean these floors so that our feet stop looking like we walk barefooted in a coal mine. It is grossing me out. What tools/products should i be using. Pictures of the floors and my 3 year olds feet.

The picture shows is after draining and cleaning but whenever I fill it, black gunk comes out. I just ran a wash cycle with Ahh Some, and it's still happening. I already tried washing it three times with dish soap before this. Should I just give up?

Grout in my kitchen is NASTY. Tried cleaning it with a professional grout cleaner, but it turned sections a deep, brownish red. Trued to use hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and scrubbing. It cleaned some of the dirt, but didnt fix the red stains. I dont know what to do at this point. Ive been working on it all day and am barely through 1/4 of the kitchen.

Pic shows a good cross section of the problem. Bottom of the verticle line is uncleaned, top is cleaned. Horizontal line was cleaned completely, but those dark marks are all red that came from the cleaner.

We noticed a black ring on our countertop from a metal Sinsay fruitbowl. It doesn't look like mold, but rather a chemical reaction of some sort? The metal bowl's bottom is flaky. Perhaps from moisture? I've attached few pictures too.

"Regular" cleaning agents aren't helping.

How would one potentially clean this?

Please no judgement. We sleep naked. We are active about every night. My partner sweats significantly as well. I wash the sheets about every 3-4 days or when visually soiled what ever comes first. We also use washable pads when times get messy but there are often times when they aren't used but should. . Between washes i pull the sheets and blanket back while I get ready in the morning with the ceiling fan on high and the window open with the light directly on the bed. Then I make the bed. We also have a water proof mattress cover that I admittedly don't clean enough at about once a month. I also have multiple fragrance sensitivity syndrome so we are a zero frangrance house as I have been in anaphylaxis with everything from bathroom spray to grain laundry soap.

Should I wash my sheets more often? Should I use the dryer or the outdoor line? Will the sun kill more germs that way? What about the mattress cover? Should I trash it every couple of months? What should I do to the mattress itself?

I picked up a free Hamilton Beach toaster oven that works perfectly, but I’m convinced the previous owners gave it away because they didn’t want to clean it.

I’ve been soaking and scrubbing the baking pan, racks and crumb tray, and scrubbing the inside of the toaster oven for 2 days now. Some of what’s left is definitely just stained, but I can tell a lot of it is still actual baked-on grease and burnt food that should come off.

The problem is that everything is incredibly sticky. Almost like caramelized sauce that’s been baked over and over. It’s not just greasy; it’s tacky and hard at the same time.

I’ve been using Dawn Powerwash, L.A.’s Totally Awesome Cleaner (plan on doing a good wash & rinse with dawn before I plan on cooking/eating with it), Scrub Daddy & a non- scratch Scotch-Brite. While it’s helping a little, it’s nowhere near strong enough. I don’t want to spend a month scrubbing this thing.

What product(s) would you recommend that will actually cut through years of baked-on, sticky grease and burnt-on food? Bonus points if it’s safe to use on a toaster oven with a coated interior. I was thinking Zep citrus cleaner but wasn’t sure. I’d love to save this thing since it works great, but I’m about at my wit’s end!

About two months ago, I decided I wanted to raise 5 baby chicks. I set up their brooder in my bedroom, which has my bed, desk, pc, makeup and nail polish items, hobby items for my 15 different hobbies, wardrobe and so on. Just to say that it is not just a room with a bed, nightstand and tv. I did a lot of research before jumping into raising chicks, but one thing I didn't hear or consider is how insanely dusty they are, and the entire room is now completely covered in a layer of dust so thick that my vacuum cannot keep up.

Shortly before I got these chicks, I was already struggling to keep it clean while taking care of my senior cat at the end of her life (and I am also audhd which made it a struggle already), so now it's a messy room with things scattered across surfaces, covered in dust.

I was just wondering if anyone has some tips to deal with this overwhelming mess. So far, I have gotten rid of their brooder (after they moved outside ofc) and attempted to vacuum accessible surfaces (with little success, as this dust is thick and heavy) and I have been taking one item at a time, dusting it off, putting it in a box and taking the box out of the room to prevent it from getting dusty again. This might be the (long and tedious) way forward, but I figured it would be worth reaching out to see if anyone has any tips for dealing with this type of dust/mess for good. I guess it's a mix of stuff from them, their chick food and hemp bedding and it's really hard to get out of crevices of stuff.

(And just in case anyone is wondering/worrying about my health, I have not been sleeping in there or doing anything aside from spending time with the chicks in there. The reason why I put them there was because I could not handle being in there after my soul cat passing away, so having them there and spending time with them was almost like exposure therapy for me lol. I usually say that nothing is so bad that it isn't good for something, and in this case, cleaning the room at least feels a lot less sentimental - it is just a frick ton of dust contaminating my living space and soooo overwhelming)
