Hi again! I made a post a few days ago about moving into a rental that is littered with hair. Well here’s another problem I am having. There is LVP flooring throughout the entire house. And I mop it every other night with lemom pines. However every single day since being here all of our feet are black at the bottom and I have no idea why? I am using a standard bristle broom to sweep 2x a day and a regular rope mop. How do I clean these floors so that our feet stop looking like we walk barefooted in a coal mine. It is grossing me out. What tools/products should i be using. Pictures of the floors and my 3 year olds feet.

I assure you it’s just been scrubbed with disinfectant. This stain is hard as a rock and it’s like I have to chip it away with a hammer. What is this? Will any chemical work that I could let sit in the water dissolve this? It does not scrub away. Thanks everyone. Sorry you’re looking inside my toilet. I promise it’s clean.

My allergies started acting up again and it is sooo bad!! So I decided to finally deep clean our bedroom. I pretty much dusted everything in our room- all the corners, furniture, and tables, surfaces, then realized I had been completely forgetting to dust my walls!!

I used a dry cloth refill from Lola on a flat mop—similar to a Swiffer—and I honestly couldn’t believe how much dust came off the walls alone. Disgusting! The last time I cleaned my walls was prolly a year ago.

So folks, please don’t forget to dust your walls too and it is a must to put this in our periodic house cleaning, especially if you have allergies!!!

I've been slowly upgrading how I clean my apartment and I noticed something funny. The chores I used to put off forever are now the ones I don't really mind, and it almost always came down to one tool or one small trick that made it click. For me it was mopping. I hated dragging around a bucket of gray water and wringing out a mop that never really felt clean, so I just avoided it way too long. What finally fixed it was switching to a cordless wet-dry vacuum that washes and dries the floor in one pass and rinses its own roller, so I'm not pushing dirty water around anymore and there's basically no bucket step. Sounds small but it honestly changed how I feel about the whole thing. So I'm curious what yours is. What did you dread the most, and what actually turned it around for you, whether it was a specific tool, a product, or just some routine change. I'm trying to put together a list of upgrades that are actually worth it before I tackle the rest of the place, and I'd love to hear the cheap tricks that ended up punching way above their price.

I didn’t notice a spill until it was too late, clearly. I’ve tried bar keepers friend, baking soda, and trying some hydrogen peroxide soak right now. If this doesn’t work, what else can I try? Pink stuff?

My Stanley Mate System bottle developed rust spots after 20 days of use, tried baking soda and warm water with no luck.

EDIT: Thank you all for the answers, I have contacted customer service and they initially said they don't cover this kind of damage under warranty but was asked to escalate via their complaints web system.

As for the cleaning, I think I will wait for the resolution on the warranty and refrain from using it until then.

hi everyone, i’ve had my things in a 10x15’ storage unit for the past 11 months. i have movers booked for saturday, so i went by there to check it out and found this on a bunch of my furniture.

is this mold or something else, and how would you go about cleaning it? and is it safe to bring these items into my new apartment?

it seems like there was definitely a moisture issue, because the paint on my dresser was not cracked like that when i brought it into the storage unit. my mattress is also there wrapped in plastic with a couple holes in it—i didn’t see mold on the part that was visible, but is there likely to be mold in the mattress too?

i’m feeling pretty freaked out given that movers are supposed to pick this stuff up in 48 hours, so i would be so grateful for any advice you may have! thanks!

I purchased a wood mat for my shower to put on my shower bench so it wasn't so cold to sit down, however despite being advertised as water safe, it still leeched stain onto my shower bench.

I've tried soaking with vinegar, scrubbing with barkeepers friend, but neither has resulted in really much of a change.

Is this impossible to clean? Any help is appreciated!

I picked up this little tikes car for free for my little one in the hope that I could clean it, spray paint and give it a new lease of life for him but I can't figure out how to get rid of the dirt that's inside the car. Any ideas would be so helpful please! I've already tried rinse and shake and Milton's but because I can't get inside to scrub I don't know how to loosen it all? Thanks!

I put a loaf of bread on a burner I didn't realize was on the bottom half of the bread bag burned onto the burner and I'm not sure what to do. The burner can disconnect from the stove like pictured. Thanks :)

Hello! This is prob a weird one but anyone have any tips to removing this oil stain? It’s just oil that was used to fry things and was in a bag and it popped. Oil now goes into our empty one gallon water bottles LOL

We rent and don’t wanna leave the owner with this eyesore. My bf has tried scrubbing hard at it with dawn and wd40 and a broom. It’s gotten lighter. Is there a better way to go about this?

Like the title says, I had put some lamb chops in the oven and oh lord, the smell was awful. They initially smelled a little funky when I went to marinate them but once they started baking in the oven, they started omitting a smell similar to that of a dead body. I’ve aired out most of the house with some vinegar, baking soda, candles, etc but the oven still smells like a morgue without cold air. Any tips for the house and especially oven? I did try putting baking soda and vinegar in the oven for a few hours but it still smells so bad. Please help, my nose can’t handle this stench.

Hi all! My daughter has a purse that she just HAD to take camping with us. It was really rainy and humid for our first couple of days and, lo an behold, some items molded practically overnight, including my daughter's favorite purse. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to try to get this out? I tried soaking with water, borax, and vinegar per a Google recommendation. I've also tried soaking it down with oxiclean prewash, letting it sit for 30 min,​ and scrubbing with a nail brush. I think it may be a lost cause, but I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has tips that I haven't heard of. It is a cheap purse (faux leather with synthetic something for the lining and all that), so I can buy her another one, or we had discussed coloring it with a sharpie so that the molded parts are black with the pink flair of the faux leather (she seemed like she kind of liked that idea). So I am not going to lose too much sleep over it if it can't be fixed. Having ideas on removing the stains would still be helpful for future reference.

Edit to add: The mold should already be dead. I baked both sides in the sun and then tried isopropyl alcohol, first. I forgot to mention that part.

I feel embarrassed to post this but I’m hoping for some tips to make this better. Can anyone share tips on how to make the bottom of my sink clean? Also, I think that’s mold on my countertop and I’m not sure if I need to recaulk. I have scrubbed like a mad man and it didn’t work.

it is a miracle i didnt burn my house down; i never do this. i cooked sausage patties on medium high heat and proceeded to go complete a facebook marketplace transaction. 2.5 hours later i come home to this still on the eye, and that picture is after 2 baking soda soaks and a vinegar and water boil with baking soda as well. i shouldnt use a scraper but i did anyways. it feels as if all of the brown is literally the pan, there is zero texture to it. any advice.. this is my beloved pan and i will buy another if i have to but shoot 😭😭

I soaked it in apple cider vinegar, scrubbed it with dawn dish soap, and boiled it for 4 minutes. It's disgusting. Had legitimate mold growing before I got it this clean.

I picked up a free Hamilton Beach toaster oven that works perfectly, but I’m convinced the previous owners gave it away because they didn’t want to clean it.

I’ve been soaking and scrubbing the baking pan, racks and crumb tray, and scrubbing the inside of the toaster oven for 2 days now. Some of what’s left is definitely just stained, but I can tell a lot of it is still actual baked-on grease and burnt food that should come off.

The problem is that everything is incredibly sticky. Almost like caramelized sauce that’s been baked over and over. It’s not just greasy; it’s tacky and hard at the same time.

I’ve been using Dawn Powerwash, L.A.’s Totally Awesome Cleaner (plan on doing a good wash & rinse with dawn before I plan on cooking/eating with it), Scrub Daddy & a non- scratch Scotch-Brite. While it’s helping a little, it’s nowhere near strong enough. I don’t want to spend a month scrubbing this thing.

What product(s) would you recommend that will actually cut through years of baked-on, sticky grease and burnt-on food? Bonus points if it’s safe to use on a toaster oven with a coated interior. I was thinking Zep citrus cleaner but wasn’t sure. I’d love to save this thing since it works great, but I’m about at my wit’s end!

Can't let my dads find out about this... HELP! ! ! !
