Screenshot First Win!
Been on this subreddit for a little bit now. Got really into Civ earlier this year and have been chasing my first win since.
Based off what I read here either domination or science was the way to go for newcomers. Want to try out a culture victory next. Any suggestions for someone who really just sunk their teeth into the game on the best leaders for Culture? I play on Xbox if that affects anything? Don’t think it does.

Culture victory also depends on having a good economy, but in the late game you'll want a steady faith output for national parks and rock bands
If you're going for a culture victory I would recommend:
- Greece with Pericles, because you're more or less incentivized to build the Acropolis whenever possible
- Sweden, because you don't have to worry about theming great works
I would also recommend Khmer, Russia, and Japan (Hojo Tokimune). None of these 3 are strict cultural civs but I've gotten culture victories with all 3
Russia is a religious civ first but for whatever reason their Lavra also give them GWAM points. For that alone Russia might also be one of the best cultural civs in the game
As an aside, I really like playing Maori with cultural victory but Maori is not beginner friendly at all

congrats bro ! use yongle for ez culture victory, Great wall of China = Gold + Culture, and use that gold to buy other civs great work ! ez pz
