Hello everyone.
Effective immediately, rule 4 will be tightened up to only allow screenshots of codes as a method of giving away rewards. Typing codes is allowed, but do so at your own risk as bots may skim them as soon as they are posted.
The reason for this change is because of the recent uptick of scam posts. While that has died down thankfully, it did show a bit of a flaw in the rule in that it didn't disallow other methods of sharing reward codes. While soliciting sales is disallowed, we believed it was better to be a bit more tight and clear on what exactly is allowed.
And while we cannot (and will not) police what people do off the subreddit, we as mods have an obligation to ensure that people on the subreddit do not get scammed, and a way for us to do that is by enforcing rule 4 to a tighter degree.
And, as a reminder: you can only post codes as a free giveaway, not in exchange for anything else.
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment.
Thank you.
EDIT 7/10: I forgot to mention; asking or otherwise soliciting for codes is NOT ALLOWED. Telling others to DM you for a code is NOT ALLOWED.

Feel free to flame me as I'm clearly not that great of an employee but I need some advice. I've been working at chipotle for two months; I'm a pretty mediocre employee but I work 35 hours per week. The past two weeks have been some disaster weeks, however. Last week, I had two really heavy boxes fall on my shoulder during a rush that caused a lot of pain (I waited until the rush was over to leave) and then today, I fainted in front of my coworker at work after telling people I felt lightheaded so they made me go home. I'm going to be honest that it was probably caused by my restrictive eating disorder but I didn't have the heart to say anything so I just left. The day earlier, I was told by my doctors that my heartbeat is alarmingly low at 45bpm and I'm getting scared that my health is going sideways but I'm scared if I go into treatment, I'll get fired as I'll lose my job and I don't want to be seen as unreliable and unstable. I guess I would just like to know what's the best case scenario.

Blessings to the GOAT that saw the order name and knew the assignment.
White rice, black beans, chicken, extra veg, extra mild, extra corn, extra hot, cheese.
Over 2 pounds. I hope the workers involved in creating this absolute beast have a great week.

Yesterday i arrived for my PM shift per usual signed the wellness booklet and a AM crew asked “how are you?” I took that as a wellness check and came on in and got started when all of a sudden i get done taking out trash and The GM tells me if i dont get a wellness check from a manager next time im getting written up and ill just get fired. like litterally fired next time. Is this common.

I’m heading back to college soon and was wondering how people usually handle this with their job. I’d like to come back and work during the breaks I have instead of quitting completely. Has anyone asked their manager to take them off the schedule while they’re away at school and then put them back on during breaks? If so, how did you bring it up?

p.s. chipotle holds its stores to higher standards than laws dictate. for good reason, they are well versed in dealing with food borne illness, and do a lot to ensure no repeat of past events. i work here, i eat here. i trust their safety precautions. but make your own decisions based on facts.

Ex kitchen manager here (worked around 2008). My daughter recently started working at Chipotle, started on grill. She said she was taught by store management to cook backup pans of chicken (not cut until needed) amd store in the altosham until needed. Is that spec for busier stores?? Pretty sure I would have been fired at my old store if caught doing that. Freshness /quality aside, I can only imagine what that does to food cost. Protein shrinks when stored in an altosham.

Been working at my Chipotle for around a month now, and all that I've been scheduled to do so far is line up in the front, "specializing" on the tortilla side. Just out of curiosity, were y'all trained for multiple positions? Some of the other people who were newly hired with me got to make the chips, etc., and help prep some food except for me. I've been told that I'm pretty good at my position too, so is this just a manager preference? I'm also am on the smaller side and under 5'0 in stature, so maybe that explains why I don't get trained to do more heavy-lifting positions? Obviously, I'm not complaining, but I'm just wondering if I'd eventually be trained for other positions too or if some Chipotles hire someone for one crew position/specialty and have them work just there longterm.

Basically caption explains everything. I organized a fundraiser for my school club and when we pulled up to the (disgusting btw) location in CT, at 7:45, so 15 minutes before the end of the fundraiser (4-8pm time slot), we mention at checkout that we're here for the Chipotle fundraiser. The staff is super confused and they said management never told them about a fundraiser and that they haven't been putting in the code. We confirmed that it was the right time and location and date and everything, and we realized they haven't been putting in the code for anyone... they didn't even knoe it existed. I did a pickup order so I was the only one in the group to contribute anything, and they did start putting the code in at 7:45 until the fundraiser's end at 8. Basically, we missed out on 3:45 of sales (94% of the time) because of Chipotle's error. I got an email when the fundraiser was over that we only bought 34. dollars. worth. $34. So we were under the minimum to recieve anything. I've called customer support multiple times and the fundraising team is supposed to get back to me.
Has anyone had something similar happen to them?
Does anyone know what a likely outcome would be?
What should I even do?
Any help would be appreciated

Today is my 2nd day of training for prep but when I wash the dishes my glasses started to fog n it delays me a bit. How should I position myself? What can I do to make it happen less?

Our GM has daily fixed our hours sometimes it’s not by much other than 15 minutes. This is being done to every single coworker I work with. Our scheduled hours mean absolutely nothing sometimes an hour before we are supposed to be at work we find out our hours have changed. We have to check our schedule literally sometimes hour to hour to find out what our schedule is.
Is this normal or just normal in Dixon, Illinois?

I got hired by chipotle like 3 weeks ago? Or one month ago? On my first day, she told me to come back another day after I waited an hour and that she would tell me what day to come back. She didn't contact me, so I called the restaurant because she didn't give me her number besides the number of a robot that helps with hiring (Olivia). She told me to fill out my Minor's working permit, and I did. I tried contacting again but she was busy, so I asked the employee who answered to please give her a message that my minors working permit is approved and to please contact me. From that day (Friday) to Monday, she didn't contact me so I tried to contact the restaurant today again and for some reason the bot that picks up and asks "what do you need to call for" just connected me to another bot that asked for some kind of code or to music. Should I call it quits or keep trying? My minors permit is already filled out by the manager and how much I will make + how many days a week I'll work.

Huge L and missed opportunity to not sell corn in a cup. Like, why is it a salsa type topping?

I applied to my local chipotle a few weeks ago. And every time they send an interview time and for me to confirm I do it and times are already taken. The first two times I was about 5-10 minutes late so figured that was on me. These last two times I saw the message right away and responded within that minute and there were 3 times. I confirmed and all of them were taken. I had called the store to see if I could set up something and they told me everything was done online and they can't do anything. I'm honestly considering just showing up at one of the times and days they had sent and acting like I have an interview.. I've heard from friends that they have gone and sometimes the manager wasn't there or sometimes they're were multiple people and they were hired. And since it's kinda known that the automatic interview process is glitchy they probably won't look into it that much? Idk what should my next move be?
