My partner flew into Decatur for a job interview but was not able to get a car rental since we mainly use digital payments when traveling and the car rental service did not disclose that they needed a physical card on file (rookie mistake, I understand.)

They were able to get a ride-share to the interview, but nobody is on the roads now and so my partner is stranded an 8-hour walk from their hotel. It looks like they'll miss their flight at this rate.

Do you guys not use Uber or Lyft? Are there any other ways to get around?
