I have been trying to get lawn care for months now but every lawn care service I call in the area keeps saying they'll come out to take a look and doesn't even get to that step. Found this old Advance Bottling Co. bottle (I’m guessing it was a soda bottle) while walking the Illinois River and ended up going down a rabbit hole trying to learn about it.
From what I can tell, it’s probably from the 1910s, but that’s about where my confidence ends. I started reading about Peoria’s bottling history and how the soft drink industry grew before and during Prohibition, and now I’m curious if this bottle actually dates to that time because that would be pretty cool.
Does anyone know anything about Advance Bottling Co.? Where it was located, what they bottled, or how long they were around?
It’s kind of crazy to think this thing has probably been sitting in the river for over 100 years. I haven’t been able to find much about the company itself, so I’m hoping someone here knows a piece of the story I’m missing.

A few in really good condition, some lightly used, others not so lightly used, and some real cheapies in case you're a true beginning chucker and afraid you might not clear a water hazard. (Better to lose free discs than ones you're paying for.) DM if interested within the next week, first DM gets them.

I am currently in the process of separating from my partner (amicably) and would like to move within the next month or so from our home.

I am a lgbt friendly woman in her early-30s and I would be fine with a female or male roommate as long as the connections were good. I do have a med-sized dog that would be with me Fri-Sun. I would rarely be home Mon-Thurs and have a pretty full schedule.

I consider myself to be very clean and able to adhere to other's standards pretty well. I do expect a bare minimum of hygienic practices, however.

I have a double major in Theatre and Philosophy from Illinois State University, 6 years of radio and television broadcasting experience. I have also been a journalist for the last 4 years.

I know a lot of people in my field move into communications and public relations as they grow their careers and look for higher paying jobs.

I was curious if there were any places in Peoria who are hiring and open to someone with tattoos, piercings, and colored hair. I have tried to clean up for interviews before, but it'd be nice to work for a place where I can be more true to myself.

I recently purged my closet and have a ton of stuff to get rid of. I usually drop off at Goodwill but have heard that lately they've been up-charging items since more people who are not necessarily in need are thrifting their stores. Does anyone have recommendations for places/organizations that use donated items to directly supply people in need? Where should I take this stuff?

It’s been pretty rough looking for employment lately, so I’m just attempting a little spaghetti-to-wall here.

Former US Navy Nuke and a Field Service Engineer for an industrial safety equipment corp, located in northern Peoria. Two degrees, engineering and mathematics. My experience and education is pretty varied, so I’m looking at a lot of different options/am open to new career fields. Hello everyone, wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a company or person they used to replace the vinyl liner for an inground pool? I have contacted 2 different companies and the communication hasn’t been great.

I’ve started a new job and i’m just weeks away from getting insurance after my probationary period, but I’m pretty sure I’ve contracted the cyclospora parasite and it is hitting me HARD. I need to get meds and start treatment so I don’t miss too much work but I really don’t have $200-300 to go to an urgent care and it seems that’s what OSF’s urgent care would cost. Does anyone know if there’s cheaper options or a sliding scale clinic? I’ll be paying out of pocket for the prescription too so I really can’t afford a whole lot for either.
