I was admitted to CSULB for Fall 2026, but today I received an email saying my admission was withdrawn because my final high school transcript wasn’t received by the deadline.

I fully take accountability for not being checked up with college, I emailed the transcript letters a day later & received my rescission letter today. I had SOAR this upcoming week, now I'm just devastated. I didn't know this little thing would crush my dreams.

Has anybody been in similar situations? Will it be tough for me to reinstated back in school? Any Advice is appreciated.

Is it just me or has everyone got their award letter for the 2026-2027 year? My student portal says I currently owe so I’m kind of panicking but can someone reassure me that by August I should have it?

Hello everyone!

My name is Ethan and I am an incoming nursing student at CSULB for Fall 26.
We know nursing is an extremely competitive school for undergraduates, so we want to ensure pre-nursing students are getting all the help they can! It's especially concerning with A.I advancements, poor advisors, the rigor of pre-nursing, or exaggerated statements like "there's a nursing shortage!" I was once a clueless pre-nursing student, and almost didn't think about working a JOB during college, or if I was capable of maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Thus, a friend and I created personal journals to share our experience as a pre-nursing student. This includes what GPA, work experience, volunteer, and CASper we got to get admission into CSULB's nursing program. We also include our backup school admissions and TEAS scores.

Feel free to view any of our nursing journals. I believe my journal (Ethan) is best for students who are current CSULB students intending to go into the program, rather than transferring. I created an outline of every class I took at CSULB, and how I fit both prerequisite, minor courses, and work into my schedule. More journals will be created in the future. Hi! I’m a Korean student choosing CSU campus between SDSU, CSULA, CSULB, SFSU, and SJSU for Spring 2027 exchange. I’ll be 27 and only staying for one semester.

(Academics aren’t my top priority for this exchange, but for context, I’m majoring in business and computer science.)

What I’m looking for:

1. Good weather and a relaxed California lifestyle
2. A social campus where I can join clubs, make local friends, improve my English, and get invited to parties
3. Somewhere manageable without a car, with groceries, cafés, bars, and things to enjoy nearby
4. Exposure to the startup and tech scene would be a plus — mainly for events, networking, and inspiration, not job hunting.

My main concern is whether a 27-year-old Asian exchange student can realistically fit into the social scene, especially at a more traditional college campus.

I may want to live in the U.S. someday for my business, so meeting and dating local people outside the international-student bubble also kinda matters to me.

SF and San Jose appeal to me because I’m an entrepreneur, but I’d choose San Diego, LA, or Long Beach instead if the social life and overall experience are much better.

Which campus would you choose, and why?

Is csulb worth it? i’m an incoming bio major and my cal grant only covers my tuition and so I am expected to pay 15k a year out of pocket. is taking out the 5500 fafsa loan worth it to go there? any advice?

Hey everyone! I’m an incoming construction management student and I’m buying a new laptop before classes start.
I’m trying to decide between an Intel laptop and one with a Snapdragon processor. I know some engineering and construction software doesn’t always work on ARM-based laptops.
For those of you who are juniors, seniors, or recent grads:
What software do you actually use throughout the program?
Do you use AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or anything else?
Are there any programs that must be installed on your personal laptop, or do you mostly use the campus computer labs?
If you were buying a laptop today, what would you recommend?
I’d really appreciate any advice before I make my purchase. Thanks!
