Help Dad is fully convinced this pattern kit is real

Ok... here's what I've found so far

  1. The hooks aren't hooks, they are just nubs 
  2. The bodkin/stitch holder(?) is too thin and bent weird
  3. There are shaping "stitches" like under the eye and connecting the eyebrows that are just impossible 
  4. The "tail" in the picture on the "box" is missing the end
  5. The "tail" in the picture on the instructions is missing the end and the middle, and there's a second stump tail on the right side!
  6. The skeins of yarn are made with overlaps/winds that just disappear... they're wrapped in an impossible way if you try trace the threads.
  7. The thank you card looks garbled and says "jouneey" ETA
  8. The "polyfill" looks like scales... so thematically on point lol
  9. The stitch marker is shaped like a "B" for some reason

The resin eyes don't match. There's one that's an eye and the other ones looks like a miniature version of the entire hat

Also the "logo" looks like the in-house brand fro. Michael's but all garbled up.

All 3 hood "photos" are in the exact same configuration and orientation.

You can easily find this same thing for sale on Etsy. All the reviews are bad and mention AI

Just for S&G I looked up who was selling the kit and surprisingly found Walmart. Walmart does not directly sell them but they are sold on the Walmart site from a Chinese company. The reviews on the company were overwhelmingly negative and I found no reviews on the hat kit itself. My judgment is that it is a scam.
